For real
Fun Fact: Cartoon and Cereal's gun adlibs are sampled in Money Trees
Amazing video as always! For the next one, can you do a Tier list on Eminem’s or Drake’s top songs?
Those are definitely in the works. Much love!
In the context of listening front to back, To Pimp a Butterfly is Perfect, Good Kid Maad City is amazing, & Damn is Great. Section 80 & untitled Unmastered are Good.
I strongly agree with the list. I’m just saying tho people sleep heavily on LOVE. I remember when DAMN. first dropped that song gave me chills and is still one of my all time favorite songs to this day
I love the twists he puts in song like Keisha’s song and Duckworth.
I first heard kendrick when he dropped swimming pools
But when I heard him on bitch don't kill my vibe remix I was a fan..
My top 5 kendrick songs
Fear
Poe man's dream
I hate you
Blow my high members only
Sing about me
Honorable mention : Feel
This is a testament to his greatness all other rappers would have way more mid-bad songs and he has 0bad songs
Now or Never, Samidot, Wesleys Theory , U, XXX top 5 kendrick
Ranking Kendrick songs is so hard because even if a song doesn’t sound top tier to my ears, the lyricism makes it that good
Yalll all really bugging for putting Loyalty in “Good” it’s nearly a perfect song, INSANE production, insane sample flip, insane message, lyricism mixed with pop elements on 10, Rihanna collaboration is absolutely beautiful *french kiss* it’s almost a perfect song…yo, I could go on bout that song and album FOREVER. LOYALTY LOYALTY LOYALTY! Shit is so hard..
untitled 08 is MASSIVELY underrates. One of the most uplifting and upbeat songs ive ever heard
I think you guys did well! I would recommend diving deeper into untitled 08 I think it should be on the Amazing level. I also believe you left out 3 of his best written songs being Hood politics and Institutionalized which I would rate perfect and also Momma which is another Amazing song. I agreed with you guys on most of it!! Nice work 👍🏼
Idk why there was hesitation of putting wesleys theory into the perfect category, it's his best song ever
THE BLACKER THE BERRY IS A MASTERPIECE WHAT
KING KUNTA for the true friends
For me; Sing about Me, Dying of thirsty, The Blacker the berry, XXX, Rigamortus, Ab Soul Outro and the Perfect tier list keeps going on.
I’m pretty sure I had FEEL & Blacker The Berry on repeat for months. We get to add some more to this list on May 13th! 👏🏼
Hol Up is a top 40 Kendrick song IMO…his mind state was literally up in the clouds as he says he wrote it while 30k feet in the air…the metaphors and lyrics are abstract but still worded them in a way where you can visualize the lyrics easily.
“Tire mark gave you evidence that I'm easily peddlin' with the speed of a lightnin' bolt
As a kid I killed two adults, I'm too advanced
I live my twenties at two years old, the wiser man
Truth be told, I'm like eighty-seven
Wicked as eighty reverends in a pool of fire wit' devils holdin' hands
From the distance, don't know which one is a Christian, damn
Who can I trust in 2012? There's no one
Not even myself, a Gemini screamin' for help, somebody”
Don't kill my vibe, PERFECT
Pride is perfect imo
Kendrick is the GOAT, simply the greatest ever
