H.F. should consider selling these new Hercules cordless tools in combination kits of some variety or other with an included bag or hard case at a reduced price than purchasing each separately. You know, just like all the other major players. It makes getting started much easier! 👍
The Bear is not a fan of combo kits. Price per tool and charger / battery is up to you. Make your own kit. Dint get stuck with a tool you dont want. Like a jig saw.... I never use the one I got... so why would I buy a combo kit just to get half of what I use. See mechanic that I am dont want carpentry tools.
At the very least, a combo kit with a hammer drill, impact driver, two batteries, charger, and a case or bag (at a modest discount!) would be a nice option. I agree that the other tools can, and should, be offered separately, as they are now.
The oscillating multi tool should next. Along with the cordless angle grinder, jig saw, and blower. This was the original coming soon ad for the the Hercules tool line up.
The blower is out now! Hopefully the cordless angle grinder and multitool come out next, I've been super satisfied with the Hercules tools and so have my uncle's who work construction 60 hours a week
Thank you for doing this! I've never used a circular saw before and I just bought this same one yesterday. I'm impressed. I'm excited about getting to work with it. Thank you again!
Screwed up already. It would be helpful to see how the blade gets put on since there was no blade installed when I got it, I mistakenly removed the inside washer and now I can't remove it. It's on there pretty good. NUTS! Kinda took the wind out of my sales.
Left blade = 100% dust in your face, and all over your clothing after just 1 cut. But, you can watch the beautiful blade spinning. I prefer keeping the blade on the opposite side of me, having a right blade saw, so the dust shoots away from my face when I'm making the cut. You don't need a vacuum cleaner or special adapter, all right blade saws have a dust ejection port that shoots the dust to the ground. I tried using a Makita left blade trim saw a few times and I get so much dust in my face that I can't even use it. Left blade saws are nice, and for certain positions, they are probably much easier, but these videos never talk about the dust problem with left blade saws being operated by a right handed person.
Finally!!! My Herc drill/driver and spare 5AH battery have been waiting for a friend to play with. I need some 20V gardening tools like a hedge trimmer and a string trimmer, but I doubt those will ever appear in Herc blue. A Herc 1/2" impact wrench would be great. Yeah, I know all about those being available in the Bauer system, but I was an early adopter of the Hercules battery.
I'm glad to see the Herc line expanding. Just before Father's day, I ended up going with the Dewalt combo drill/driver kit, mostly because I want to invest in a battery system. I would have preferred to go blue, but there wasn't enough stuff. The Bauer line looks great, and to be honest it would probably work for me, but looking at all the projects I want to do over the next couple years at the new house, I wanted to go with a perceived better line. Depending how fast they come out with more, I may still make the jump, or else make serious comparisons. I just don't want to have to maintain a bank of battery systems. All that said, when it comes time to move from the breaker bar to a proper impact, I'll make the exception for Earthquake. But yeah, I'm rooting for HF to get more of the Herc line available. I see the potential there for them to take over the market for home users who want better than average gear without breaking the bank.
We will end up seeing more in both the Hercules and Bauer lines. They are only a couple years old. The old standard brands have had years and decades to build up their lines of tools. None of them drop 10-20 tools in a line at once either. Usually you'll see 3 to 5 per line per year. That said I'm impatiently waiting for more too.
Very nice review. 39 cuts on a 2.5 ahr battery, not bad at all. And the 45 degree crosscut without the saw bogging down really shows its power. If Hercules had the other stuff that Milwaukee has, I would jump on this stuff. Again wonderful review!!
I've been happy with the drill and impact driver but UNhappy that it's taking so long to add to the line. A coupon was published in May and it's still not in stores or on the web. What next? ANGLE GRINDER, 1/2 INCH IMPACT WRENCH. Pricing Hercules versions of these tools will get tricky to fit between Bauer and Earthquake XT. Thanks, Bear.

The only problem I have with some of these cordless circular saws is they their are a wide range of blade sizes. I'm trying to find out more information on a Central Machinery cabinet tablesaw item 93380. It seems they use to make this saw for under a thousand dollars. I mean a Cabinet tablesaw that cheap should be a big hit. I don't think it should cost over a thousand to build a 3hp cabinet saw. Any suggestions.
I'm highly impressed with what you've showed us on here. Looks like it's worth the cost. Only complaint about the video though is, you shoulda had the Mrs. out there presenting it, like Vanna White. 😆
actually Menards has a house brand Masterforce track saw that is a pretty good deal $199. and it is not a clone of the Wen/Grizzly track saw you see on Amazon not sure who is making it for them
I might need to make the jump to the Herc's tools here. Someone broke into my truck 2 weeks ago and stole my tool bag with my Porter Cable Drill and 1/4" Impact drive I bought in the 6 piece tool set. They got 2 of my extended 5.0 Amp hour batteries and drill bit set too, plus a few other items in the 13" tool bag. DAMN IT ! Now I'll have to start a "GO FUND ME" page to get enough to replace this. Yup, still unemployed ! But ya know... I been eyeballin' that Earthquake 1/2" impact for $239 at HF for a few months now...HMMMM.
I like the Hercules tools but I think for my budget and justification I'd go Bauer unless the Hercules on sale was within a few dollars. The batteries are the same for both brands right just color and name different?
The Herc batteries are slightly better and they are far cheaper per Ah. Both of the larger batteries sell for $40 but the Herc gives you a 5.0Ah and the Bauer only gives you 3.0Ah. That is a significant difference.
Hercules is on par with the lower end of brands like Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita... By lower end I mean the tools you can walk into your local hardware store and buy. In other words low end professional. Ryobi is more on par with the Bauer line at HFT. They are more geared towards your home DIYer types. Good tools but not meant to stand up to 8-10 hour use 5-6 days a week.
Man i got to stop watching your reviews on the Hercules line of products from you. I'm going to go broke upgrading my shop tools. Now i got to put this on my list of must have tools!!! LOL
Is it brushless? Are pro's using 6.5 circ saws now? I have a 6.5 Dewalt brushed that I've been using for a while and I'm waiting to move up to the 7.5 Flexvolt.
I own the Bauer and it's great for my needs. Based on my own comparison of the hammer drills, performance wise, out of the box, they should be close but the Hercules brand is built better and should hold up better to heavier usage.
I guess it’s good HF is offering their own power tools but with a 90 day warranty and having to purchase an extended warranty if you want more, I don’t see why someone who does a little research would choose HF over Ryobi, Ridgid, etc. They are well established as the consumer/pro-sumer brand with a vast line of 18v tools, better warranty and are frequently on sale at Home Depot. That being said competition is a good thing. Really enjoy your videos btw.
Ryobi has ok customer service but Ridgid has been earning a rep for weaseling out of their LSA agreements. If you go back to the beginning of this channel I used to have a bunch of Orange tools and I referred people to them all the time. Not any more. As to HF's warranty? They don't force you to buy one if you don't want it. Everyone else forces you to pay for a warranty. Think about that. With HF you get an option and if you do get the warranty it's an instant replacement. Not sending it off and waiting weeks or even months.
What is the advantage of brushless over brushed? What can one do that the other can't? I don't have any brushless tools, so I have no point of comparison.
still not even on the HF website yet, much less even in the stores here in the houston areas. about ready to give up the long anticipated wait and get its nemesis, the dewalt.

Only complaint about the video though is, you shoulda had the Mrs. out there presenting it, like Vanna White. 😆
I'll let her know!
So when/where can we buy it?
Where: Harbor Freight
When: Soon®
😉
Id like to see a track saw from HF.
The cheapest one out now is from Kraig, the accu-cut.
Doesn't get very good reviews though
actually Menards has a house brand Masterforce track saw that is a pretty good deal $199. and it is not a clone of the Wen/Grizzly track saw you see on Amazon not sure who is making it for them
@@DIYAudioGuy Wen has one.
The WEN is out of stock everywhere, somethings going on with it.
Lol knot a problem. I cant bare it. Keep on truckn bud love the videos. #1
I was honestly curious about this. Was going to ask if you or anyone knew of this was going to come out. I am very interested in this.
Hey Bearcules, they should have made it a 71/2!
Why? What would that get you? Also remember this is a trim saw, not a framing saw.
@@denoftools do they have the same connection? Meaning can you use herc battery on a bauer tool or vise versa?
@@mkuhlman77 they will not interchange as far as I know
There’s a new tool bucket at Harbor Freight take that Homer Bucket !
I'm working on a comparison
The Den of Tools That would be a fun video with the cubs
Bear, how does this compare to the Ryobi 20v? (or 18. I can't remember which voltage it is)
Hercules is on par with the lower end of brands like Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita...
LOL
Wow Milwaukee 2730 . Almost identical.
Is it brushless? Are pro's using 6.5 circ saws now? I have a 6.5 Dewalt brushed that I've been using for a while and I'm waiting to move up to the 7.5 Flexvolt.
Harbor freight doesn't have any brushless tools

Hercules vs Bauer .Head to Head performance. lets go Bear
I own the Bauer and it's great for my needs. Based on my own comparison of the hammer drills, performance wise, out of the box, they should be close but the Hercules brand is built better and should hold up better to heavier usage.
Brushless?
It's all good, but long term they really need brushless! 🤔😋
What is the advantage of brushless over brushed? What can one do that the other can't? I don't have any brushless tools, so I have no point of comparison.
@@BKD70 efficiency and power
still not even on the HF website yet, much less even in the stores here in the houston areas. about ready to give up the long anticipated wait and get its nemesis, the dewalt.
How much is it, or did I miss it?
The list price is about $89 but who knows what the aveage coupon price will be.
Took them long enough. I gave up and bought the dewalt on sale. Don't regret it.
