As someone with two beautiful golden retrievers, both who just turned 4 last week, I can confirm this is all 100% accurate. 😂

Its actually a service to put this information out. It would be sad for someone to get a Golden and not know this and have to rehome a sweet dog like this. People should always do their homework before getting a new member of the family.
Our little 1-year-old Golden girl would like to add digging up the yard, shredding plants, and dragging whatever sticks, rocks, and other random stuff she can find into the house (and then tearing around and playing keep-away with it) to the Golden repertoire - all while being the cutest and most affectionate pup ever. 😂🥰

I'm watching my sons 2 Golden retrievers right now for 4 days. One is male and one female. They are the most loving dogs I have ever seen BUT the amount of hair they shed in crazy, and they are the NEEDIEST dogs I have ever seen. If you can get past this, you will be fine!

Boy did you ever hit the nail on the head...... I have 2 mud monsters and love them to death.
Good to see how much a work 2dogs together really are. Lots of peeps buy a dog very impulsive (covid lockdown) regret it and forget dogs can easily become 14 years old 💕And they are expensive too and & can be alone for 4/5 hours max! 💕

My family had a dog named Sabrina
My oldest bro gave her a bath inside in the bath tub as soon as the door outside was open she ran out and rolled in mud😂never washing her again!
Sadly she passed away at 8 years old 😥

My family has had Golden’s my whole life. My parents taught theirs to water ski. My Mother would drive the boat and my Father would get the dog ready and be the spotter. 😂 A True character he was.

I had two goldens and I wouldn’t trade one thing about them. The most loveable balls of fluff on the planet. Their hair was better known as magic fibers. If hubby and I were younger we would have several more. ❤

My mom has been in love with Tucker for a while and decided she wanted a golden. My puppy is 3 months old and I already had to go through all of these situations with him 😅...one thing I gotta say is that I don't regret a minute of it... Even the mud ❤

Golden Retrievers are the most human dogs in the world, they LOVE visitors and children, yes they love rain and mud, they also WILL steal your food right off the table if you leave it too close the the edge and walk away or turn around. A painter we know while working on our house fell victim to this with his hero he put on the table and walked away to clean up.

Yes, I still want a Golden Retriever! Another one would never take my Golden Boy's place, but it would help ease some things...maybe someday I can afford another one. After 13 and 3/4 years with my Golden Boy, there's a huge gap without him now. I won't give up hoping. They are pretty expensive in the Northeast now. Blessings!

❤😂 Linda you are so funny. Mud! With my Golden, it used to be goose poop. He'd roll in it and get it all over his head. When he came in I'd tell him "Ooh Jake nice crud on the head" and then he'd prance around all proud of himself.
These are so scarily accurate. Sometimes we just think it's our Golden, but then videos like this reinforce it's the breed. I quite like not ever having socks all the time...haha. But they sure are cute.
