    I bought mine a couple of months ago and I love it, I also find it get a cleaner scope pattern rather than back probing the back side or the DLC. Definitely worth the money!

    Thank you! I've been debating one of these for ages. It sure would be nice to have. Much faster and easier to use. But also not required. I can accomplish the same thing with tools that I already own and it's money that I could be putting towards other tools. But I didn't think about just leaving it connected to the scantool and using it all the time! Why the heck not??!! That's a bloody awesome idea. It's there if you need it and even if you didn't think you needed it you may end up noticing something that you might not have otherwise!! Definitely adding that to my tool kit!

    That one looks pretty nice. I've got the one from ATS & I like it as well. Definitely a must-have for modern vehicle diagnostics.

    Surprisingly. I don’t own one of these and should. I keep going back and forth between the AESwave version, or this one. I really like both, though.

    • @ecwurban
      @ecwurban 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really like that the AESwave one is setup in the shape of the DLC. Would force you to really memorize the layout in case you were without the tool. However the OTC has better construction, a voltage display and lights for every terminal. The AESwave one only has lights on 2,4,5,6,7,10 and 16.

    I Was Thinking The 'Annoying" Low Battery Alarm Might Be Handy For All Electrical Diag You Ever Start Running Test & it takes too long or you Get called away. Finish your testing & Find out the battery Died so You Have to Charge The Battery & Start all over??

    Great video thanks brother. I think I will keep away from one of them. I can see me having to get towed to a dealership. I have experience with big trucks and equipment not my own vehicle or anything else. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother

    FLAT RATE MASTER, when your CAN Bus signal is bad how do you know which CAN module is it that is causing it? do you use a ODB scanner tool or how do you disconnect each CAN module using the cars fuse box or what?

    Any idea if you can front probe (safely) the end of a DLC and view communication signals with a oscilloscope?

      I have the mac one also but I've only used it for the steering reset. Do you know what the one jumper is for that looks like there's a fuse or something inside of it?

    • @billmck12345

      there are times where I don't plug the breakout box into the dlc, but run a outside power/ground to the box and hooking up to network circuits...so for me its added protection....

    I don't have the money for tools like this and the boss doesn't see the return of investment on this stuff. He provides a nice scan tool and alldata and identifix. We can also call a tech line service if necessary. Any deeper than that broom it to the dealer.

      Hell I drive 30 and 40 year old cars but I still work on the modern cars, I just like the older vehicles better and not just because they are simpler but mainly I have control of the throttle and steering
