    Good stuff. I am having a little trouble connecting a 2016 Ram with a GPEC2a ECM but hopefully I'll sort out the right pins and leads to use. But thanks for the info.

      You're welcome GroovinJim! ah yes it just takes some patience while figuring out the pin out for each vehicle (if you have the factory service manual it helps tremendously) Cheers!

      Thinking about purchasing for mine. Would I be able to know what’s specifically wrong with the computer and replace anything internal? Or is it simply to tell you if it is bad and to just replace?

      Thanks E! Ah yes the process would be the same as when the PCM is on the car since we can now connect a OBD2 to the PCM and interact with it. Here is a video showing the basic test functions with an OBD scan tool th-cam.com/video/cTXB6XeGsyA/w-d-xo.html Additionally a more advanced scanner like this one th-cam.com/video/leqYNPJ16M4/w-d-xo.html could be used if you need access to OEM functions Cheers!

    Hi and thank you for the video. I’m trying to understand how you knew which OBD wire number to use and when to use the K-line. My wiring diagram shows a CCD BUS(+) and a CCD BUS(-) which I understand to be two wires to connect to all the modules. So which obd wire would I choose for those?

    • @AlexAutoFun

      Hi! I would refer to the service manual and wiring schematics, this is the safest way to determine which pins should be connected. Cheers!

    Hi, when bench testing an ECU for proper CAN. What wires do we have to connect? Meaning, what wires do we always have to connect from the GODIAG to the ECU when bench testing to get a reading?

    Hi, thanks for the video. I got my gt100+. Now the issue is wiring diagrams and interpretation. Can Alientech ECU pinout connections help to connect the ecu properly? Also do share the car schematic video as well. Waiting. Thanks a lot.

    • @AlexAutoFun
      @AlexAutoFun  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome PartOEMS! I have not familiar with the Alientech ECU system so I can't say if it will help with pinouts. What I use for the pin outs is the service manual as it details each one of the pins on the PCM (which I used for reference for the pinout I showed on this video). Hope this helps, Cheers!

      @@robertfrancisco1193 Ah I got you, I think you mean how to test individual circuits, that can be done with a voltmeter, some dummy resistances (either some resistors, potentiometer and in some cases the actual sensor itself) I do have a video coming on how to use a multimeter including how to understand different electrical components and their functions, maybe it would make sense to follow that one up with how to use it along with components using the with the breakout box (I would still recommend using the OBD2 scan tool along with the multimeter, since the meter will only give us raw information vs the interpreted data from the PCM to the DLC), good suggestion..

    Hi,
    If a car is equipped with immobilizer, how can I power up the ECU with GODIAG on a bench?
    The other concern is that can I provide a crank signal from a sensor simulator and get ECU outputs like injector driver and ignition trigger?
    Thank you

    • @AlexAutoFun
      @AlexAutoFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Typically a vehicle with IMMO can be accessed (Key On, Engine Off). The IMMO normally only limits being able to actually turn on the engine. The GT100+ is mean to access the ECM in the Key On, Engine Off state, it's not meant to simulate the vehicle running. However if desired the IMMO function can be accessed with the included jumpers shown on my full review for it th-cam.com/video/QAwpySOMQUI/w-d-xo.html or using the GT105 th-cam.com/video/9qQQ7rEeHUc/w-d-xo.html Cheers!

    • @SS-U23
      @SS-U23 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds good! At least we can verify that there's communication with the ECU because sometimes scan tools cannot communicate with the ECUs due to issues with power, ground , network, etc...

    Can this be used with vag key login to find login for module adaptions, abs, steering rack, engine etc ?

    • @AlexAutoFun
      @AlexAutoFun  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Gary! I'm not familiar with the Vag key but if the tool uses a standard OBD2 port, then yes, the ECM can be powered up to access it via the OBD2 port of via the banana jacks if needing to tap into specific lines (some IMMO systems need this step). Here is the full review so you can see how it works th-cam.com/video/QAwpySOMQUI/w-d-xo.html Cheers!

    Hey I was watching your connection on the video question would those connection be the same for an 06 dodge charger rt seeing the computer are similar if not can you point me in the right direction or which pins should I use, I'm not getting the VPW+ signal on the godiag gt 100 +

    • @AlexAutoFun
      @AlexAutoFun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew! Ah I would be really careful, while the NGC has been used for a long time and on many vehicles and the pinout may have some similarities I would recommend referring to the Service Manual of the vehicle being tested to confirmed the actual pin out. Hope this helps, Cheers!

      Hi Ibrahime! Yes this video shows how to connect an ECM for bench testing (with the pins chosen based on the service manual and wiring schematics for the car being tested). Each car has it's own pin out so some cars will need more or less wires to interface to the PCM (And I do have another video coming in where I cover how to read wiring schematics for those new to them).
