I used to buy candies and other stuff a lot ,from the person who would sell it at the gateway of the school. When i was just a kid and maybe even until now, there so many people sell food in front of schools.All the principals and the teachers always tell us not to buy anything from them. Because the food quite dirty. But it is so odd, their parents give them money to buy that junk food. And recently there are some severe cases of food poisoning. But selling and eating food from the stalls in front of school gate seem unstoppable. I am living in 🇻🇳. Thanks three coaches for your lesson

In portuguese the guy who sold these candies in my old days at school in Rio de Janeiro was known as "Baleiro", i.e. the guy who sells "balas". They were really cheap candies but the bill at the dentist proved to be very high later. I dont known how we would adapt this name to english maybe Candy Man or Candy Woman. Oh Gosh ChatGPT says that Candy Man could be either a man who give candies or even worse sell drugs. In fact some of these "Baleiros" unfortunatelly used to sell candies and drugs.

hi it's so Wonderfull for begin or revise English in podcast. it s my teacher what I spoke with her for 20 minutes I can learned someone word and theme in situations. many sometimes I need help in google traductions for talk with interlocutors but many word seems like French but it's easy when the people speak slowly while if he speak quickly it's so hard. So I decided to take English lesson. and at the moment who that I talk you I need google traduction is not de solution.

In Brazil, we don't have fence guys. What we have are candy stalls in front of gate of many schools that we lovingly calling "banquinho de confeitos". 🇧🇷
