28:50 its so good, its like 2 games in 1. its what makes haciendas and lombards so crazy at the macro part of the game. lombards for button click macro and haciendas for the same + you can garrison vills.

I actually thought him sending in the war wagons was draining his economy, and my vils were super easy to replace with my food eco, so I wasn't too worried about it. Until I had very little vils xD still can't believe Lion's eco never drained! GG

@@SoldieRaoe Don't get fooled by the usual revolt eco in case of South Africa, their eco just keeps going since they get imperial gathering upgrades a good number of banks even with the British, the diamond mine that lasts forever and even 30 courour de bois, if you want to, which lion didn't even bother to train, lol.
You can build 2 more banks after you research the capitol gold upgrade tech for a total of 6.

im amazed that as experienced player as soldier didnt even use his military fleet to take down your fb. a few shots from monitors combined with initial push was easily enough to take middle.

Its always a gamble with the daily upload. Sometimes you get a rush that's over in 5 minutes, then sometimes u get games like this one

I just finish watching your match man. Very good match and I learned new tips from you. :)
You had 2 big mistakes:
-Soth Africa can train imperial WW an ALSO imperial natives (you have the capitol).
-Not trainning "coureur des bois". Same population than regular settlers but gather much faster (and you jus replace 30 regular settlers with this unit).
Small mistakes:
-Doing this revolt with age III card that uprades HP and attack in all your cav
-Once you destroyed his Factories and there wasn't more wood left. Start pushing in water with european big boat for forcing him expend tons of wood in water. (and if you win a side you can drop units directly there)
-I also recomend the 40% off train time on cav before revolt
What made you hold and win where those towers and bad unit combo of russia (he should have train halvs instead of streelets because are more tanky, better counter and the most importance the siege to fast destroy those annoying towers)
All of this is really easy to say when you are watching. I know when you are in game is much harder to see what is best because your brain is focus on multitasking xD

Soldier not walling in that late game was painful. Amazing player. Much better than I am bjr sometimes he plays is frustrating
You should have sent hugenots far earlier once you got the key shipments in (wagon warfare, capitol, diamond mine, etc). They are still 1 pop villagers but are better to gather and build forward, and much tankier, you had to rebuild some villagers after he raided a bit earlier on
That was one of his 2 biggest mistakes xD
i love the map and the game, but things that i consider overlooked always, specially in this game. war ships give gold with the house of vasa, not much but worth it, specially for soldier, you not getting the Courrers wich 30 courrers could be 6 pop more eficient on villagers, to close the 10 max pop gap. Also Imp Oprichnich from galleons are deadly for buildings its always overlooked.

Soldier may have outplayed you on the water, but he forgot a key feature that would have won him the game: landing party raids.
Pioneers is one of those cards that acquire late game relevance in these kind of settler chasing games
In the Imperial age the Immigration tech from the capitol helps alot, to not to be as much in need of houses as in the early phases of the game

What is the hotkey on pc to unload settlers from a TC (or outpost)? I have over 1k hrs and still don't know ahah
I think the default key was "N" but thats an important mechanic to use so better use a closer key for that

Imagine if Soldier walled up early. Game would've dragged on for 30 more minutes.
Would have been good to replace some of regular vills with huguenots, no? Same pop cost, 25 % better gathering rate.
Soldier needed walls in ordere to try and win this one, as well as having more people on gold. Also late game it might be better to make rekruts instead of Strelets, even if they don´t do as well, they are food and gold only. Anyhow very well played on lions part tho especially the raiding

If Soldier had revolted for Finland... He would have the units to counter you. Revolt is always good.
There was no wood left on the map, and Finland is a wood heavy revolt
@@micahbonewell5994 there are a lot of cards to change that. And the focus for the revolt for me is the Counter Dragoons and Counter Jaeger, that don't use wood. Revolt fast, send the right cards, get the counters Rolling.

@@micahbonewell5994 as you could see Lion had no problem getting loads of shipments, you'll be able to send it a couple of times in such a long game and you can train counter units that cost gold as well. But I do agree that Streletsy could use a late game change to gold cost, like Britain got with Rangers or Aztec with their mining card that removes all wood cost from their roster. Maybe have Streletsy Horde change the cost to 20 gold instead of 10 wood in addition to the current function.
