    It’s a bit of a stretch when the Mormons say they’re “Christians” too but just have “further revelation”… *Mormon God is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from Biblical God!*

      What is the Will of the Father?
      John 6:40 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
      Not to believe in a fake God or a fake Jesus.
      The one True Jesus/Yeshua (Acts 4:12, no other name under Heaven whereby men must be saved),
      1 Timothy 2:5 the only Mediator between God and Man. Not no so called prophet or any elder, none other then Jesus. Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
      2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
      Apparently it isn’t that easy to be a true believer, because folks believe so many lies and false doctrine which change who the True Jesus is. So as it says in Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, or insert Christian or Mormon or any other title. Be the genuine article.
      It’s unreal how the enemy created a doctrine produced by devils to seduce folks. We don’t want anyone to be lost.
      We can do nothing in ourselves to right the sin nature we have under the curse of Adam.
      And every single sin will be answered for that each of us commit. Not one will slip by without being satisfied by the wrath of God. The only God. (Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin),
      Jesus in short took the curse of sin upon Himself for every single sin of those who truly believe in the True Christ. Which in short Jesus in a legal term became the penal substitute for us. So it’s like coming to the judge and saying I know he is guilty of all these sins which is to break the law. Like sexual sins or murder just to name some really bad ones. Apostle Paul and King David know the forgiveness. But Christ paid for our crimes against God for us. Past present and future. All. So we don’t get saved for the moment forgiven for past and present. Christ went to the cross for all. As long as you are in this temporal vessel you will always struggle with sin.
      Think about, when you receive your new glorified body which will not be capable of corruption. Not even those thoughts that enter your mind that we try to put out of our minds will even enter. So yes it is all Christ work for us and none of our own. This is part of believing in the True Christ, to know He has done it all. But so many have not trusted in Him in this way.

    This is simply an educational video, not an attack on anyone. It is likely that "investigators" don't know these critical details & they have the right to know the differences in religions. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. It is FREE & SIMPLE & offers ETERNAL LIFE.

    As an ex-mormon, I can confirm that all of this is true. You need to be married (in the Mormon temple) to enter the celestial kingdom which is already there a works-salvation teaching and just strange...

      Ex mormon here too! Now a born again, Bible believing Christian! One thing she left out in this otherwise spot on synopsis is that in each level of heaven there are three levels only in the top level of the celestial kingdom can you become like God. The way I was taught is that God controls the Celestial Kingdom, Jesus controls the terrestrial kingdom and the Holy Ghost controls the telestial kingdom. But you can only meet God in the highest level of the celestial He never visits any of the lower kingdoms.

      @@Moose-iz1uo Do you ignore Luke 22:39-44 and Mat 26:67? Jesus suffered the agony of the garden, sweating great drops of blood. How do you explain that agony if is was not a part of the atonement?
      Read Isaiah 53:4-9 which describes the atonement- carrying our sorrows in the garden, wounded and bruised in the treatment by the Jewish leaders, the stripes the whip Pilate ordered on His back. The cross was the final and very public stage the Savior went through. Very few at the time knew what He went through in the garden before His arrest. The cross therefore became the symbol of the entire scope of the atonement. But in the end, the bottom line is that He atoned for us. That's what counts.
      If you don't want to believe that Lucifer was in the spirit world with Jesus and drew away the third of the host of heaven (Rev 12:4) in His anger, you can.
      But let's look at Galatians 1 in context. What is Paul saying in verse 6? "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ UNTO ANOTHER GOSPEL." The believers in Galatia were "troubled by some who were perverting the gospel of Christ. They were already allowing the truth they knew to be corrupted. Then what happened?
      Read 2 Thes 2:3, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come (the second coming of Christ), except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." The words "falling away" are a nice way to translate the Greek word apostasia. It is apostasy. It was something that had to happen before Christ comes again.
      Look at Acts 3:18-21. The suffering of Christ had been fulfilled. The church is told to repent and be converted to be prepared for the times of refreshing when Christ would come again. However, that would not happen until there was the time of restitution of all things. The "restitution" is a restoration in the Greek. What is being restored?
      Apostasy and restoration before the Lord comes again was foretold. What happened to the New Testament Church? Where did it go? When you quote Gal 1:9, be aware of the actual message, which was for the Galatian church then, not some future day.
      Another angel will come with the missing gospel not long before the judgment comes and Babylon falls. Rev 14:6 "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." If the gospel was always on the earth, why is this angel bringing it to be taught to ALL people?

      @@Moose-iz1uo You seriously pull out Gal 1:8-9? Read it from verse 6. The context is not the future, but what was happening right then in the Galatian church. They were going astray. 2 Thess 2:3-4 tells us the church would go into apostasy. "Falling away" or "rebellion" is a poor translation of the Greek word 'apostasia'. 1 John 2:18 & 4:3 warn of it- the false teaching that Christ had no physical body. Acts 3:20-21 tells us Christ would not return until the times of restitution. This is not the Garden of Eden, or before the Fall, but what would be lost in the apostasy.
      Why are you so hung up on the cross, when it was a symbol of the total suffering and death of Christ? Read Luke 22:41-44. What was Christ doing in Gethsemane when He sweat great drops of blood in agony and asked if there was another way?

      Joseph Smith was a false prophet and the Mormon church is built on a lie. You will never become Gods and that’s ok because Jesus died on the Cross so that you and I may live. Our Lord rose from the dead conquering death.

    I had 45 years in the LDS church with 7 "born under the Covenant" children when I left the church.
    I was a voracious reader years before the internet, I learned the difference between the fear-based control drama of Joseph Smith, and his (oxymoronic and ever-changing) "restored gospel, and the Gospel of Jesus The Christ, in a time when acquiring this information took months of digging for it, not seconds.
    It took years for me to weed through my own cognitive dissonance, to understand that I had literally dedicated my life to a doctrine that contained the "philosophies of men mingled with scripture".
    Mormonism taught me that the Resurrection of the body is undeniably important, but merely a component in the grand scheme of things.
    Years of studying the standard works, and other Church Publications, combined with many hours of Prayer and regular Temple attendance, lead me to the inescapable conclusion, that Joseph Smith's Doctrinal Contributions and blood sacrifice, was regarded as being at least equal to the atonement Jesus made on Calvary.
    Years later, all seven of my children are faithful bible-believing and practicing Christians, teaching their own children the love and complete sacrifice of Jesus the Christ.
    To those studying out your crisis of faith, hang in there, Jesus loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.

      the internet is such a blessing. when i was young, if i wanted to know something i had to go to the library. that meant saturday if someone would take me. if the library had a book in their collection that was a good thing. if they didn't i would never know anyway. with the internet you have a big big library at the touch of your finger, and sites like this to listen to other people, and think about what they say. young people don't know how it could take you many years to find out what they have immediate access to . the hand of God is on your children so you have a full life. it was a bumpy ride but worth it in the end.

    Your videos are great Jessie. And they keep getting better. The ending of this is awesome and is what being a disciple of Christ is all about.
    My wife and I just got back from Italy. Spent 5 days in Rome. Though I’m not a Catholic, it was aw inspiring to see some of the places that some of Jesus disciples and the Apostle Paul walked and where some of them were martyred and buried. We were right around the corner from where the apostle Paul spent time imprisoned, where his letters were written and sent out. Saw the Basilica of the Apostoli XII where Phillip and James are buried, St. Peters Basilica where Peter is buried. Later we went to the San Marcos basilica in Venice where Mark is buried (Wells parts of him anyway) lol. All of this rich history that I had the opportunity to experience right there only deepened my Faith in Christ. The point of my sharing is that it is so nice that we have actual history of things that we can actually go and see. “The evidence of things”. I feel bad for our LDS friends that their Faith is completely blind. I know we are to have Faith in Jesus but it sure is nice to be able to go look into the history as well!

    I was Mormon most my life but would never enter a temple as an adult because of the cult Masonic rituals. I eventually broke my programming and am born again.

    Your videos are extremely helpful! I have been studying lds doctrine for 7-8 yrs so that I can fiqure the best way to communicate with them. Your videos help very much. There is a ward less than 1/2 mile from my house, so I try often to talk when they are willing. I live on the east coast (Bible Belt) and I've learned that all the missionaries I meet are from the Western part of US. This does not make it easier to talk with them. They are all very sweet and polite, but in conversation I truly feel anything I present is not being received. That doesnt surprise me though. I'm meeting with 2 young gentlemen this afternoon that haven't met with me at length before. Probably like the others, after the second meeting, they won't talk or answer my calls anymore. Pray for Gods Holy Spirit to help me plant a seed. Hopefully someone or something will water the seed in the near future. God Bless all Yall!!

If you truly want to,”with an open heart and mind”, have a cordial discussion, we’ll have to go a little at a time. Even reading my previous post I typed too much. I’ll start at the Introduction page. J Smith said,” I told the brethren the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by it’s precepts, than by any other book.” I presume that you agree with this statement? And if so, you agree the BOM will lead any man or woman closer to God than The Bible?

I should be more humble and I do get snarky with people out here sometimes but if someone were attacking your faith as they are mine I don't think you would be very pleased. This is bigotry. Imagine if someone attacked Navajo ceremonies or made fun of Buddhists. There would be a public outcry. Yet everybody piles on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and there are more everyday.
      So having said that, the Book of Mormon is the keystone of my faith. It is the most correct book in that it teaches principles of the Gospel that are only partially explained in the Bible. Those principles include baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and what the sacrament is. The Book of Mormon clarifies each one of those critical concepts. This is why it can lead a person to a higher understanding than the Bible does. They compliment each other and the main purpose is to testify of Christ in more than one place. Two witnesses were mandatory in Jewish law to reach a verdict. The other purpose is to prepare us for the difficulties before the Second Coming.
      One thing you said caught my attention about reading and highlighting things. Am I correct that you have only listened to the negative side and have marked the ones they feature as "problems" with the Book of Mormon?

I am sorry that there are people out there only to attack and not have “meaningful , cordial and respectful” conversations with others. The “others” being You, of course. They will have to answer for their ways. You say that the BOM is the Keystone to your faith. Respectfully I ask if you could please give a Yes or No to this question.
      Do you Claim that the BOM is More Important (as though how would You rank them #1 & #2) than The Bible?

    I live in Utah and often speak with missionaries. I teach them that the cross is a sign of Victory over Death. They say they focus on the life of Jesus because of what he taught us. I said what greater lesson or sacrifice could he give us by salvation and victory over sin and death. I see the wheels turning.

I was baptized in the church but I never went to the temple ...God showed me immediately that this was not true and I thank him daily !!! My best friend is a Mormon but threw patience and truly waiting to find the real truth it paid off ... GOD IS GOOD ... and will always show you the true and faithful way .. I pray that my friend will someday receive the true spirit and understand my standing on this and that it was God Way Not mine !!!       I'm so glad that my church teaches from the Bible we are reading Matthew 18 and Luke 10 this week

    I recently removed myself from the mormon church and believe that the church uses three tools to manage members shame, guilt, and fear. With the faith of my childhood crushed I am struggling to find faith in anything at this point. This bothers me that I am left with nothing after the mormon church. It is sad and very lonely.

      Hi Jon! You're not left with nothing, even though it feels that way. I understand that Mormonism has been your entire world and also your worldview and without it, it may feel like all hope and truth and joy and even community is gone... but that doesn't have to be the case. You can still find TRUE hope, joy and peace through Biblical Salvation because God is absolutely real and Jesus died for you! Joseph Smith took Jesus and turned Him into a false Christ that is taught in Mormonism. Galatians chapter 1 in the New Testament warns against this because it's been happening since 1AD. False prophets are nothing new. Mormonism has vast similarities to Islam and to the Jehovah's Witnesses. Once Mormonism crumbles, it's important to read your Bible to see that the truth you've been missing is right there in the Word of God. Not "as long as it's translated correctly" either.. that's a tactic to get LDS members not to trust the Bible and to rely on the Book of Mormon, D&C and Pearl of Great Price. Those books are in total contradiction to the Bible and are also historically inaccurate. You'll find that the Bible has stood the test of time and is historically accurate, verifiable and is the only book to offer a systematically coherent worldview. Who are we? Where did we come from? Why are we here? What's our purpose? Where are we going after death? ...All of those questions are answered in the Bible. There are incredible Bible-believing churches out there where you can join the community of worldwide born again believers in Biblical Christianity. Your faith journey should not end with a false religion like Mormonism.. praise the Lord that you know its false so you can begin seeking the truth. I pray with all my heart that you get Biblically saved and declare the true Jesus Lord of your life. If you're searching for a solid church that preaches from the Word of God, I would love to help you find one. If you're searching for answers, I'd love to point you towards the New Testament of your Bible... John, Roman's, Hebrews... and also Bible teachers like Ravi Zacharias and David Jeremiah. I don't want you to be left alone but pray that you will find a Christian community that can help you grow and help you find answers and also community and fellowship. Don't give up on God because your church taught a false god. God is real and He created you for a purpose. Heaven is rejoicing that another Mormon found out the truth about his false religion and now you have a Christian (me) praying that you'll come to saving faith in the true Jesus.       @@itsmejessie Thank you for your encouraging and kind words. It is more than any of my "friends" from the LDS church have offered. Really none of them talk to me anymore. I think that I need to take my time before I jump into a new religion. It would probably be good for me to work on defining what is spirituality for me independent of an organized religion. Your videos have been helpful for me and just wish more of my LDS friends would open their minds and allow themselves to see things are they really are.

      @@jong9173 the booklet that helped me was mere christianity by c s lewis. if you are able to replace mormonism with the the famly of god, it will be to your benefit. but i'm not pushing anything, that's just my perspective. you can get mere christianity free from internet archive. free as in free beer

      @@longnamenocansayy Absolutely, I actually have read all the CS lewis books and have them already. I have been listening to On Being with Krista Tippett. For me I feel like I need to deconstruct the definition of God that I was indoctrinated with growing up in the LDS church. I am having to balance a difficult situation because my wife and children are still active in the LDS church. I have to be careful talking about my feelings about the LDS church around my children because my wife is not okay with that but I have had some one on one talks with my kids but it is hard. I appreciate your suggestion.
      It has been a while since I read CS Lewis, Mere Christianity. It would probably serve me well to read it again.

    And we continue to remind the world that Mormon language is not Christian language. They speak our Christian tongues & use our terms. Yet, they do not mean the exact same things. Jesus sayeth: "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matt 11:30). In Mormonism--it is very difficult, heavy and burdensome.

      But the things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
      19 Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
      20 and that He may SEND JESUS, THE CHRIST appointed for you, (not Joseph Smith)
      21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.

      Stephen mentions Moses' prophecy, also.

      Joseph Smith was not Jewish, so the prophet that Moses, Peter and Stephen are referring to could not have been him. The prophet that God would raise up would be a descendant of Abraham.

    One of the many sad things about the LDS is their requirements could never be understood, much less met, by people in third world countries. How can LDS honestly tell such people, "if you want to go to ( the "best") Heaven, you have to perform all these rituals to get there?" The true Gospel is simple, easy enough for a child to understand. Believe, repent, accept Jesus. That's IT. Anyone who does will WANT to serve God out of love, not fear.

      Headless Horseman Yes, their belief is that there are 3 heavens, and only Mormons go to the best one. They think baptism is required, but I know that the thief on the cross, my 96 yr-old friend who accepted Jesus & my stillborn daughter went to Heaven without baptism. If you discover all the Mormons believe, you'll be shocked at how bizarre & demanding their religion is. Even as a Baptist, I believe people of other religions will go to Heaven.

    I also want to add that Brigham Young said that if anyone left the Mormon church that he believes that you should be put to death. Pay with your life. I was shocked 😲 and in disbelief when I frist heard this but yes it's a true fact .atonement is what he called it for leaving the church .It's such a cult honestly a scary one at that .

      the cult of mormonism was so bad that the united states federal government actually sent an army to utah to make them quit all the theft and murders.
      but as bad as they were to nonmembers, strangers, travellers, or even territorial judges, they were worse to their own members.
      if some bishop wanted your pretty young fiancee, you could have your blood drained out to personally atone for adultery, and the girl would be added to the bishop's harem.

      john d lee the man executed for mountain meadows massacre wrote his confessions and gave his confessions to his lawyer.
      the mormon church sent their blood atoners to his lawyers office, and his lawyer was so afraid that he had to have an armed guard present while he copied the confessions for publication.
      then wells fargo was so afraid that they would not transport the confessions to the publisher without an armed guard present.
      i think mormonism is a filfthy disgusting little cult and it should be wiped off the face of the earth.
      the only way they were able to get so far was the the very real threat of death they held over everybody.
      120 men women and children knifed gunned or bludgened to death in 1857 at the command of brigham young. 20 years later one man one man only was executed for the massacre. that was john d lee.
      that's how much power the murdering cult of mormonism has. it took 20 years for the courts of the united states of america to have enough power in utah to convict anyone of mountain meadows massacre.
      the mormons deny everything. then act like a dirty little cult at every turn.
      if they were honest they would open up their vaults for public examination and every one in the world would see what a dirty filfthy lying bunch of scum the mormon church is.

    Their doctrine makes it pretty easy to get into heaven. At least 1 of the 3 anyway.

      The brother of Lucifer never existed. The LDS 'Jesus' is another Jesus that never really existed. That means that every LDS person is not in Christ. They are not in the true Christ who claimed to be God.
      Everyone will be resurrected. God has already said that.

      Does it matter if Lucifer / Satan is the brother of Christ or not? If so, why?
      I keep hearing that if you have faith that Christ died on the cross for your sins that you are saved, that nothing else is important. And yet those same people claim that if you have misunderstandings about who is or is not the brother of Christ or any other teaching about God and His nature then you are damned. Which is it?
      We want you to be saved with us and we are willing to overlook all your false doctrines and accept you into God's house with us. You on the other hand seem to want to claim your place in God's house and have us damned. I seriously hope for your sake that our understanding of God is better than yours since your understanding will damn you to burning forever if you misunderstand anything about what God is trying to teach us.
      Faye, whatever you say about us you must admit that our God is far more loving and compassionate than your God is. My God has given the ultimate sacrifice so that all who will accept Him will be redeemed and it does not matter if it is here on this Earth or after death. My God has supplied a way that even the dead can be saved, He has supplied a way for all to hear and learn about Him so that they may accept Him.

    I met with the missionaries last week and they said they believed in the same God as me
    I said "No, you believe in some dude playing a dude disguised as another dude from another world who has a wife who he has sex with to produce intelligences with like Jesus, who is an intelligence 2 spirit baby who worships a redeemed sinner who worships another Jesus. "
    They were surprised, but agreed with me

      LOL!!! You are right on point!! Yeah, someone responded to you saying “that wasn’t Christ Like”. Maybe he’s right. But you’re only telling them the Truth!! Of which you say they agreed with!!! And if they agreed!!!!???? Then they admitted (and sadly, probably not realizing it) that they are Brainwashed!!
      Fact is, it’s Sad. All we as Christians (believers in God The Father, God The Son, God The Holy Spirit, which is ONE God!!) should plant a seed, in Love for our brother or sister, pray that the Lord water that seed.
      Ironic note that most may know: in the BOM literally the 4th page titled “The Testimony of The Three Witnesses” the last sentence says (you can look this up yourself if need!) “And the honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God. Amen.”
      There’s only One way to Interpret what this means. And it’s the very thing that Mormons deny! And it’s written in the introductory pages of the BOM!

    We just finished studying Exodus and the beautiful image of God freeing the Israelite slaves from pharaoh through Moses which points us to God saving us from the slavery of sin and Satan through Jesus. When the Mormon missionaries, come to my door (or the JW's just recently), I know what they are offering...... shackles. And to take the good news of Christ and his free gift and reject it thinking I could ever earn it.......pure slavery. It's going back to Egypt.

Just for clarification, you believe that you are saved by grace alone?(And by grace I mean an unmerited gift from God, that God saw your helpless, hellbound state and stepped in and saved you.). No works. Because I have always been told "grace after all that you can do."(You do your best and Jesus does the rest" OR faith without works is dead.). I do believe faith without works is dead btw that chapter(James) is written to believers (calling the recipients brethren over and over) not to people telling them how to earn salvation. Is this what you mean? Thanks.

      @@10529Erin I grew up in the church I, nor anyone I know, believes they can earn their salvation, ONLY through Jesus Christ are we saved.
      I understand why people have the misconception that we think we are saved by works. We put a lot of emphasis on living the commandments, after all Christ taught if ye love me keep my commandments (John 14:15). When the rich man asked Christ what he needed to do to gain eternal life Christ spoke of the commandments and forsaking all. We were taught we should try to follow the Savior's teachings and strive to be like him and be examples of the believers 1 Tim 4:12. but we know that doing all these things will not save us, no amount of obedience or good works can save us, only in and through the sacrifice of the Savior are we saved.
      As for "all we can do" it would be nice if people would look at that scripture in context, it was written before the birth of Christ 2 Nephi 25:23 For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.
      24 And, notwithstanding we believe in Christ, we keep the law of Moses, and look forward with steadfastness unto Christ, until the law shall be fulfilled.
      25 For, for this end was the law given; wherefore the law hath become dead unto us, and we are made alive in Christ because of our faith; yet we keep the law because of the commandments.
      26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
      27 Wherefore, we speak concerning the law that our children may know the deadness of the law; and they, by knowing the deadness of the law, may look forward unto that life which is in Christ, and know for what end the law was given. And after the law is fulfilled in Christ, that they need not harden their hearts against him when the law ought to be done away.
      28 And now behold, my people, ye are a stiffnecked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the right way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law.

      @@peaceliberty4all Sorry I didn't respond earlier. Not sure why I'm not getting notifications. This was interesting. Has Christ fulfilled the law?(Gal. 3:19 although 18 is good too) Or is that in the future? I believe in works but as a result of salvation as in the book of James. I also believe in the Law to be used as a mirror (Romans 3:20). And Moses was known as the minister of death(2 Corinthians 3:7) because the law convicts us of sin because its purpose is to show us that we are incapable of keeping ANY of it. In Romans it's says if you break one little piece you're guilty of all of it. Period. And lots of people think they haven't broken #7 and #6. Well Jesus makes sure you know you did because lusting is adultery and hating is murder. So that means all of us(after reaching puberty) have broken all 10. We can't stand before the Lord and claim ANYTHING but the blood of the Lamb as to why we should be allowed into Heaven.
      I'm really glad you mentioned context because that is Paramount. That is why I will NEVER pray about the book of mormon. I am told James 1:5 by missionaries. But that book is written to believers(brethren) in a context of testings and trials. And the verse starts with a "But" which means read verses 1-4 too. It is about staying faithful in a time of great persecutions and trials and temptations to fall away from it.

      We don't believe that only those who have been born again should strive to follow the Savior and his teachings. Anyone who claims to believe in Christ should obey his word. Christ said if ye love me keep my commandments. Believing in Christ does not equal being saved, that comes from being born again and there are few Christians, of any denomination including my own, who have been truly born again. So if you could only do works if you had received salvation (been born again) than that would contradict James as he speaks of doing works in relation to faith. If you believe (faith) than let your works reflect that belief (faith)
      Perhaps this is where the confusion comes in. Mormons believe that all who profess to believe in Christ should be "example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Tim 4:12 that involves actions or works. If you have faith in Jesus Christ and his teachings that should be reflected in your actions (works) Which is clearly what James is saying as he gives the example of caring for the poor James 2:14-18 then immediately reminds them that even devils believe in God (a devil would never do the work of God).

      Unfortunately no. Lds believers will tell you that after death, if they have done "their part", then Jesus will make up the rest, or make up what they could not do, sort of like saving grace I guess.

      If you read 2 Nephi 25:23 it tells them they are saved "AFTER all they can do". For some Mormons, this has different meanings.
      1) If they haven't done enough, then they may not get into the Celestial kingdom and have to settle for the 2nd level. There must be some formula where "good works" = 50 and Jesus atonement is another 50 providing the 100 points needed to get into the 1st level. If Jesus has to supply more than 50 points, then they are demoted to Telestial.
      2) If they haven't done enough, then Jesus uses His atonement to make up the ALL the rest of their payment for their sins. There is no point system, so it doesn't matter how much "work" they have done, Jesus will always fill in the gap.
      Most believe (1) is the standard practice so that none of them will be too lazy to "work" for their salvation and to "work" as in some pride to show off to others that they were "perfect" enough to reach the highest level. This is similar to those getting to be on the Dean's List or graduating Suma Cum Laude. It's all to show off their good deeds despite the fact that Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that we are NOT given salvation by our works so that no one can boast.
      Those that believe (2) are the non-aggressive Mormons that use this excuse as their interpretation so they can not worry if they are doing enough for their salvation and hope that Jesus will fix the rest for them. Some Mormons will actually chastise other Mormons if they are thinking this is the interpretation, usually those that have years of "good works" behind them and love to boast.

      @Headless Horseman I was born into the mormon doctrine so I've always believed in Jesus. Mormons read the bible too however it was revealed to me that the Jesus in the mormon gospel was not the Jesus in the new testament and thats how I ended up being an exmormon I think their doctrine is false. It fools alot of good people. I can see the difference so clearly now but only because God has opened my eyes to it otherwise I'd still believe in it.

    let me add my opinion of faith vs. works. i don't think the mormons know the difference between faith and works. when the sick man was being lowered down through the roof he had faith that jesus would heal him. he was not working. he was too sick to do any work at all. he could not work. he had faith. his faith was accurate. it was in Jesus. God is calling people to have faith in jesus and become a part of the family of god. if you are working at having your own family and being a god to your own family, on another planet, you have the wrong jesus. the plan of salvation that is in the bible is to have faith in jesus for salvation, just like the sick man had faith in jesus to be healed, we need to have faith in jesus to be saved from hell. we have the spirit of adoption whereby we say abba father. abba means daddy. we have the personal relationship that a father and child have.

      @@longnamenocansayy you are not using "faith without works is dead" correctly. Works is the EVIDENCE of the faith, but not the RESULT of the faith.
      in 2019 we use the phrase "lip-service" to denote those that say something without meaning. "faith without works is dead" is another way of saying "lip-service".
      For example, if I told my wife that I loved her so much, but did nothing for her, no one would believe that I really loved her and only paying "lip-service". However, if I TRULY love my wife, then I will do everything for her BECAUSE I love her, not to PROVE my faith to her.
      @Mike K showed you Ephesians 2:8-9 on purpose because if you read that verse at least 20 times (minimum, this way you understand it) unless the Bible has passages that contradict, it even says "NOT OF WORKS". Seriously, read the verse 20 times, not 4 or 17 but 20 times. Maybe you might actually get it into your heart and mind.

      Well, considering the Jesus of Mormonism is merely our big brother, the big brother to Satan and Mormons relate him to Michael the Archangel, it's not surprising that there's no relationship because he isn't even God to them. He will be the "Heavenly Father" of the next world. It's so twisted and blasphemous.

    So I’m actually an atheist ex Mormon, just to put that out there. Even being atheist though, I am so happy to see people exposing Mormonism for the fraudulent, dangerous, cult that it is (it’s doctrine is somewhat cultish, but it’s culture definitely puts it in the realm of a cult).
    I would be happy to talk sometime about my tone as a Mormon or my current belief system (though I’d guess it probably won’t happen lol), I have met with a Mormon Mission President since leaving when his missionaries didn’t know how to answer my questions and am the son of an active Mormon Bishop. I did go on a mission, but came home for emotional reasons (as do about a fifth of all Mormon missionaries now).
    Either way, thank you for doing these videos, they are very well researched, hard hitting and also validating for those who have already left. Thank you!

    Are you not indebted to Christ for you Salvation? Salvation is only in and through Christ! and all who are saved are indebted to Christ with a debt that will never be repaid. But that doesn't allow us to live in sin and continue to willingly disobey God.       @@Raze120 Not in order to gain Salvation, though. Once saved (past tense) our "fruits" or "works" should come naturally as we live to honor and glorify God. Works are not part of the "salvation process" like in a works-based religion but are a natural response to an already saved soul that has been redeemed and transformed by Jesus Christ.

      Mormons don't do works for salvation, the Book of Mormon validates this by saying that after all we can do Christ still needs to save us. We do works because we love God and want to do His will by keeping the commandments.
      We do however believe that the mansion (as the Bible defines it) that we inherit depends on our faithfulness (or how many of our treasures we place in heaven).

That’s what they believe that’s the Mormon salvation that Mormons know but however it’s unbiblical but the Bible it says otherwise.     you did very well jessie. for the me the most important point was that you explained that since they have an alternate Jesus their faith is false. for christians, salvation comes because of faith in Jesus, but if you have an alternate jesus you don't have faith to begin with. i have never heard the mormon plan of salvation the way you explained it, but i think it's accurate. when the mormons comment that you don't know what you're talking about just take comfort in the fact that they tell sandra tanner the same thing, and she's been studying mormonism for over 50 years, and her family goes all the way back to brigham young. one last thing: mormons sustain the prophet as prophet seer and revelator, but not policy maker. so i'm kind of curious who's making the recent policy changes? they aren't revelations so it can't be nelson. when did the mormon church change from being lead of god by revelation to being lead by policy? just curious. maybe a tbm could comment to my comment.

    I can say from the Mormonism that when I was learning about the Book of Mormon from the 2 Missionaries I had said that people who followed God or Jesus Christ. Then those people who go to the Celestial Kingdom.
    My Mother would be in the second Kingdom. Because she was baptized but not in the LDS Church. My Father would be in the lowest Kingdom.
    I didn't believe that one bit. I only know of one Heaven and one Hell.
    I believe that God even set it up and is said that in Genesis.

      You said you only know of 1 heaven and I pointed out that in the Bible it talks about 7. You are denying Mormonism because it teaches multiple heavens and yet the Bible teaches it as well. Mormonism teaches 3 main graduations in the heavens with at least the Celestial having 3 levels, so at least 5 levels of heavens. The Bible teaches at least 7. To deny multiple heavens is to deny the Bible. You cannot deny Mormonism for having multiple heavens and then say you are a Bible believing Christian since to believe the Bible requires you to believe in multiple heavens.

      The only way you can reject what Joseph taught is if you reject the Bible. If you don't see and hear then it is because you are darkened in your mind and have God's truths shut up to you.

      Actually he gave it to Peter and his other apostles by the laying on of hands. Peter, James and John visited the prophet Joseph Smith and gave him the Melchizedek Priesthood the same way.     I love the baptism of the Dead thing with the Mormons as well that the Apostle Paul talks about. Paul isn't talking about a physical death, but a spiritual death in the Bible. Getting baptized for somebody in the here and the now for somebody who has passed away and is in "outer Darkness" isn't going to pull them out of hell. Paul is talking about the spiritually dead. Mormons love to twist that.

    As an exmo, with many loved ones still in, I've had no one able to explain how Christ and Bible, according to Mormons, lay out the idea that faith, repentance, baptism, and a life devoted to God, where Christ warns of anything more or less added, but yet now requires new covenants and ordinances. The BoM was said to contain the fullness of the gospel. It has no talks of a requirement for more promises in order to be with family forever.

    Money is required but hidden in a package deal within the LDS church. To get temple recommends etc. money is required, and the false blessings only come after you are dead.

    I'm confused by the comments that God and Jesus are one person, rather than two separate beings. If that's true, who did Jesus cry out to in prayer throughout the bible and on the cross when Jesus says "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do"....was he talking to himself?

      Jesus the Christ literally personified God the Father. God the Father is a Spirit and if you read John chapter one, it says that God took on flesh to dwell among us and also that Jesus is the image of the invisible God. He sent the 2nd person of the Trinitarian Godhead to earth to take on flesh, be born in a manger, to live as 100% God and 100% man at the same time. His name was Jesus and He was called Emanuel, which literally translates to "God with us." Jesus was/is God and He humbled Himself to the point of becoming fully human while still having His full Diety. He was perfect. No other human has or will ever be perfect besides Jesus, the "God-man." Because Jesus took on full limitations of humanity, he felt pain and sorrow and temptation and grief although He remained Holy and perfect and without sin. In His humanity, He cried out to God the Father many times. Jesus is distinct from God the Father and the Holy Spirit is also distinct. One God, three persons. God the Spirit, Jesus who became man to save the world and God's Holy Spirit who indwells born again Christians at the point of Salvation. But they're all one God but serve different roles. Jesus says frequently in the 4 Gospels, "If you have seen Me, you've seen the Father" because Jesus WAS God. He made the unknowable God of the Old Testament known through Himself. The unseeable God was finally seen through Jesus. It's complicated but it's also so clear through Scripture that God is ONE God but is also Trinitarian.

      2nd Corinthians C12 V 2
      2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
      Umm 3rd heaven what comes before 3.. if there is a third heaven there must be a 1st and 2nd.

    Those who try to dissuade us from the truth want to tear down what we have, but they do not have anything to replace it when it’s gone. This is not the way you resolve questions about the truthfulness of the restored gospel. We need to use spiritual tools like prayer to receive spiritual witnesses and answers. Not TH-cam. You also need to exercise faith or an answer will not come. Those who lose their faith are those who stop coming to church, following the commandments, etc…

      There should not be any confusion over what you believe.
      Mormons believe that there are three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost ***** one in purpose***** although no one has been able to show where, in either the Bible OR the BoM, there is any mention of this "one in purpose". It was a figment of JS very vivid imagination. And Mormons certainly do not believe St. John 17:20-26!!!!!
      Up until the time JS joined the Freemasons, it appears he had a Christian concept of God … 2 Nephi 31:21 etc + D&D 20:28. After he joined the Masons, he changed his mind as is shown in the 7th April, 1844 King Follett Discourse.
      So … may I inform, once again, that the truth lies with Christians and not with the LDS? The evidence is everywhere one can look in the LDS!!!!! It is just that Mormons listen to the LDS instead of using their God given brains: we are to love the Lord God with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our strength and with all our MINDS and our neighbors as ourselves.
      It is because we love Mormons who have a genuine desire to live good lives, that we want to rescue them from the lies of the LDS.

      To repeat so that you may get it now:
      1. The trinity is not a pagan ideal, it is a firm and foundational belief of Christianity - the LDS claims it is Christian in the LDS Gospel Topic Essays, doesn't it? Or haven't yo read them?
      2. There are a whole host of quotations in the BoM confirming the Trinity: 2 Nephi 31:21. Do you know what the definition of the Trinity is? If you did, you would see that this quotation from the BoM is a most accurate definition. If you do not know the definition - that would account for your confusion.
      3. D&C 20: 26 is another definition of the Trinity.
      You do not seem to understand that when JS dictated the BoM when he had his head in a hat with a seer stone (God help us), he did so from a Christian perspective. It was only after he became a Freemason that he changed his mind as is recorded in the 7th April, 1844 King Follett Discourse.
      You really don't seem to know the details of your own religion.
      I've read quite widely - so please don't try and correct me when don't understand what you are writing about? "It seems you are the one confused child." This is an insult … is this all you can muster to cover your ignorance of important LDS beliefs?

    And there are so many more Biblical verses that denote they are not the same being but distinct and separate acting as one. The scriptures that state I and the father are one are clear to understand in light of Christ's words "that they may be one even as we are one" . Him saying if ye have seen the father, ye have seen me is clear to understand when considering a son in the spitting image and likeness of the father (does not make them the same person) Mormons believe in the Godhead, 3 separate and distinct beings acting as one. That belief is biblically supported.

    Interesting thing about the Word of Wisdom. If you read the actual text is specifically say that it is not to be a commandment. It also allows drinking of mild alcoholic beverages.
    Also tithing in the actual text is not 10% of your income. So the Mormon Church doesn't even follow their own texts.

      mormons do not believe in sin nature. mormonism is not christian.
      the christian bible speaks very clearly of sin nature.
      as for example eve who sinned unkowingly, but was beguiled, and adam who sinned knowingly. the consequences were the same for both of them. god's provision was identical. both of them were covered by the blood that was shed by an animal, and they both were covered by the skins of that animal.
      later god talks to moses of sin that is unintentional: “The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, When anyone sins unintentionally…if the whole community sins unintentionally…when a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the Lord his God, he is guilty.” Leviticus 4:1-2, 13a, 22a
      there were also intentional sins such as lying, and provisions were made.
      the most common of all sacrifices was the burnt offering, the burnt offering is associated with the nature of human beings as for example any woman who bore a child: (both a sin offering and a burnt offering were required, Lev. 12:6-8).
      in christianity, it is our nature to sin. sin is not an extraneous note that can be lanced out of the soul. it is part of our nature.
      The words of John the Baptist are especially relevant, since he did not say, “who takes away the sins (plural) of the world,” but rather, “who takes away the sin of the world.” Christ as the Lamb of God, as the antitype of the burnt offering, deals with the depravity of man, with man’s sinfulness in general, as well as his sinfulness in terms of specific sins.
      in christianity, there is no progression to godhood for man because man has a sin nature. there is no amway progression through the tiers.
      in christianity there is only heaven which comes by unmerited favor of god who is just, or the just judgements of god and condemnation to hell. because of our sin nature, we all sin and there is no meritorious work that can pay for the effects of sin.
      mormonism is a pagan religion where your degree of righteousness and your eventual tier are rewards for meritorious works. the highest tier level of mormonism, called the celestial kingdom, is marked by numberless concourses of harem trophies and concubines and their offspring, who worship you as god.
      the end result of mormonism is distinctly pagan and distinctly anti christian. because the most important commandment in all of christianity is: hear o israel the lord our god the lord is one.

    Hi Michael,yes good works does follow our faith but is for rewards after were are saved,it does not cause us to be saved. it is the work of Christ the on the Cross that counts.LDS believes that thy cannot reach Their kimgdom without good works. We are saved by faith by Gods Mercy and His work not our works.Reread my first post good works are a result of saving faith. Listen to the video again she's explains it right at the end in very clear terms.

      Faith+works(everything you need to do)= salvation.That is LDS.
      Christianity Faith=salvation then have good works for rewards in heaven and to show others as James states.

      yeah if you're a god with your own planets that's the celestial kingdom. actually there's a place you can go. it's kind of like a club house. in fact it's called the celestial kingdom club house. it's kind of boring though, unless you like to gossip about other gods. also if you want to get ministered to by ministering angels you go to the celestial kingdom club house. we won't go down that road too far okay?

    The thing that actually jumps out at me is how much effort and fear mongering goes into this massive online effort to place Mormonism into this tite box by creating this biased effort to place everything this church believes into four closed corners of terrible doom and gloom, while ignoring the fact that this Salt Lake church they detest is literally the most successful church flourishing and growing world wide today, while all the other denominations today are socially and spiritually falling apart. Face it, they are literally falling apart even though they all pretend otherwise. Countless church's are massively failing apart today and unable to unite the church body into one faith, thus, unable to ever become that one prepared bride. Thousands of Christian churches in America and abroad have literally closed their doors simply because they donnot know how to successfully do what this church they hate so much actually knows how to do. That is simply keeping a whole church together and successfully keeping it growing as one Christian organization. No latterday saint churches are closing their doors today inspite of a relatively few members who are affected by the world wide faith crisis now affecting all religions today. The church of Jesus Christ of latterday saint missionaries are still converting a half a million people and the church is building dozens of new churches every week. Their parking lots are full of cars on Sunday. Just drive by one anywhere.. Nobody dares put today's Christian churches into the same biased box and confrontational corners that they all deserve to be in! Why? They are obviously failing to accomplish all of Christs efforts to make us all one bride. They are obviously not the church of the new testament because they cannot unite their own conflicting biblical doctrines into one Lord, and one faith, and one baptism like the Salt Lake church is proving they literally do. Peter and Paul were not building up separate churches as business organizations to make money and succeed by competing against other so called Christian businesses organizations which are doing today. Just watch the denominational circus on the TBN channel! How do they all opporate against the Bibles clear teachings and nobody ever takes notice? How? By turning their churches in a Wal mart against K mart type business competators. Literally putting each other out of business through the competative efforts of enticing more people to support their business church than the other minister competing down the street. You've got to think out of the box people! Do you really think the true Jesus that you believe in is sitting up in heaven gambling on the Sunday Superbowl placing a bet as to which church is going to out do the others? Turning Gods gatherings into marketing campaigns to servive or die by making money? Can you really imagine Jesus watching the other churches die and fail and then go out of business to make the one down the street rich? That would make your Jesus a ruthless business tycoon using his own followers as pauns for a worldly chess game. That is why the church in Salt Lake fits the Bible and your efforts donnot. Christ said "If your not one, then you are not mine." The whole point was to become ONE with Christs unity and not to spend all your time fighting against the only church on earth today modeling the biblical 12 apostles in Salt Lake city. A world wide church whose efforts are actually getting the job done like the biblical church clearly outlined. Do you actually think Christ wants you to defend countless failing church systems calling them all biblical Christianity which efforts ultimately devide up Christians into sesperate denominations? Yes, my friend! Devided Christian organizations all fighting against the only (one church) on the earth today that succeeds in accomplishing his one biblical churches main goal to baptize all nations before he comes? Nobody else is even coming close to the biblical world wide commission because they are all fighting against Christs unification efforts possibly getting done.

      Out of the approximate 16 million LDS members, there are only between 3-4 million who are "active." That is a tragically low percentage. And in comparison to the other belief systems in the world, 16 million people is TINY. The Mormon church has the finances it does because it requires a mandatory tithe from members in order for them to reach the highest exaltation. Just because an organization has loads of money to build massive, materialistic, 30-50 million dollar temples does not mean it is doing anything right. I disagree with your entire comment. And to claim that all other churches are failing is extreme.

      Funny, but Mormonism has always been divided, ever since 1844. Most notable: Joseph Smith's son was president and prophet of RLDS. Warren Jeffs is a Mormon who obeys the concept of the New and Everlasting Covenant.

      C.S. Lewis believed in our potential to become Gods and Goddesses. He also believed we could not be saved without grace and works. As a convert to Christianity, I think he was less bound to Christian philosophy and more to the Bible. Mormons love C.S. Lewis and quote him all the time!

    Mormons also believe that Jesus himself wasn't God to begin with but a simple man who had to achieve his deity status through the good works of the church. Total nonsense! God is the same yesterday today and forever more and according to John Jesus is God. Jesus never had to achieve anything. He was always God and never just a man. Also, I don't need the redeeming blood of Christ if I can become my own god one day and achieve the Celestial Kingdom. Christ sacrifice is meaningless to me then. No need for it if I can be my own god and create my own planet and have multiple wives on Kolab forever. Lol. Mormonism as fascinating as it is never made any sense to me as a Christian.

    My King James version of the Bible does not teach me to point out what other religions believe and how they are wrong but commands me to preach Christ's gospel. Jesus himsef said "come follow me" an invitation to follow the example he set. He taught to be a peacemaker, to bear anothers burden, to strengthen and uplift. Rather than tearing down people's knowledge or beliefs, he increased it, teaching truths that would bring peace and joy to their lives and salvation to their souls. He commanded us to judge not and to love one another. And the bible teaches that we should be examples of the believers.
    In a day and age when all religions are dwindling I find it disturbing that members of the religious community are spending all their time attacking what other believers, in God, believe rather than focusing on being examples of the believers and preaching the good word. Perhaps everyone who claims to care should ask themselves if they are creating more believers or non-believers by their actions. It would seem with the numbers of atheists and agnostics increasing that more non-believers are the result. Why try to destroy the faith of someone who at least believes in the Bible and Jesus Christ simiply because they interpret the Bible differently than you? Why try to destroy the faith of someone who belongs to a religion that believes in God but not Jesus Christ (ie. Muslims, Jews, etc.). If you think they are wrong, share what you know to be the truth. If you really believe the words of the Bible then that would be enough as the Bible teaches that the Spirit testifies of all truth. Just seems to me that less preaching against what ever one deems to be wrong and more preaching of Christ and what you believe to be right would be a better way to improve the world we are living in. And from my study of the New Testament I think the Prince of Peace would agree.

      @Headless Horseman Do you know that there is no original Bible (New Testament). The Bible came well after the life and time of Jesus. So you take your FAITH in the Bible as written. So do I. But I chose to read both Old and New Testament and follow it. So, (1) as it says in the Bible in Ezekiel Chapter 37 There will be 2 books written. One book (the Bible) for Judah the children of Israel and another (the Book of Mormon) for Joseph and Ephraim. And (2) in the New Testament book of John 10:16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepard." The Bible TOTALLY explicitly says it. Please read for yourself in the Bible study and then read the Book of Mormon. Pray and ask God with real intent if it is true and he will tell you for yourself by the Holy Spirit that it is true. I testify to you that I know that it is the Word of God Both Bible and Book of Mormon. And yes the Bible tells us so.

    Mormon, you are saved so that you can start on a path to start paying off your sinful debts. This is because the Mormon church is the only path by which these sinful debts can be repaid.

    You are making assumptions and interpretations based on a lack of knowledge and understanding, For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would try to explain the beliefs of another church or why anyone would beleive someone who did. It would be like me making videos explaining what Catholics believe. I guess if I dug up the history of Catholics, Protestants, Evangelists ect, found some quotes from 100-200 years ago made by their leaders I would have an accurate picture of what those religions were about, right?

      @tapir rider are you really trying to equate Joseph relating what he was told with someone explaining a churches beliefs that they don't belong to, to other people? Joseph didn't send people out to preach about other religions and how they were wrong, nor did he spend his time doing so.
      If a mormon made a video trying to explain the beliefs of a baptist, catholic, protestant or evangelist to the world I can guarentee most people, including myself, would be outraged that someone with little real knowledge of said church would try to explain their beliefs. I would bet that even you would find that foolish.

Mormon missionaries do not spend their time talking about other religions, they share what they themselves believe and the doctrines of their own church. This woman is not preaching mormons are wrong she is attempting to tell people what mormons believe, with a great deal of inaccuracies. When mormon missionaries spend all their time telling people about other churches beliefs than you can compare the two.

But he did spend his time in bed with underaged women, little girls and other men’s wives. When he wasn’t doing that, he was committing bank fraud and having to run from state to state to avoid incarceration. **Here’s the crazy thing. He founded a church that excommunicates sinners, while he called himself a prophet. Jesus spent all of his time with sinners, that’s where his good work could be done, and practiced forgiveness and died a brutal death on a cross so that we all may be redeemed. Totally different gospel dude. You Mormons (or whatever you call yourselves these days) aren’t fooling anyone.

    As much as I want to say that I have encountered Mormosn who are very loving, kind, and peaceful people who introduced me to their religion however I agree with the Mormon salvation for their steps of getting to the celestial kingdom seems to be a lot more work than biblical Christisanity and not to mention that the fact that you have to get married in order to reach the celestial kingdom (which I have never even heard until the Mormons that I have meet told me about it) seems really unfair to people who are single or not married! 😀😭😖😓😤😡

    Jessie: 1. Resurrection does not mean salvation to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. All mankind that lived will be resurrected but not everyone will be saved. Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
    13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." We do not consider being cast into the "lake of fire" to be salvation.

    3. The three kingdoms of Glory are discussed by the Apostle Paul. We will be resurrected to one of these three Kingdoms of Glory. 1 Corinthians 15:40 "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

Faith: Pearl of Great Price/Articles of Faith #4: "We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost."
    5. Repentance means recognition of sin, remorse for sin, repentance, restitution for that taken, and resisting the temptation to sin again.
    6. Baptism by the priesthood of the Church is required. We do not accept baptism from another church.
    7. The laying on of hands by the Melchizedek priesthood is required to bestow the Gift of the Holy Ghost. The power of the Holy Ghost is present for all who are receptive to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Acts 8:17 "Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."
    8. Temple Ordinances:Matthew 18:18 "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Here the Apostles were given the power to seal ordinances in the Temple. These are not discussed outside the Temple and do not appear in any scripture.
    9. Celestial Marriage is an ordinance that prepares worthy members for eternal life in the Celestial Kingdom or Kingdom of God. We will be gods there and not Gods.
    10. Word of Wisdom: This revelation is given to prevent addictions and to facilitate good health.
    11. Sustaining the Church leaders: We members have the right to sustain changes in the Church or not.
    12.Tithing: Malachi 3:10 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Luke 20:25 "And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s."
    13. Sacrament: Matthew 26: 26 ¶ "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
    27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

Doctrine & Covenants 115:3 "And also unto my faithful servants who are of the high council of my church in Zion, for thus it shall be called, and unto all the elders and people of my Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, scattered abroad in all the world;
      4 For thus shall my church be called in the last days, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."

      @@veganlife13: Both D&C 131 and 132 are about exaltation (eternal life) and not about salvation. D&C 131 announces the New and Everlasting Covenant but doesn't explain it. D&C 132 explains the principle of Eternal Marriage in verses 1- 60. The principle of plural wives (polygyny) is discussed in D&C 132:61 to the end of the section.

I believe in addition to repentance and baptism is the requirement to become as a little child willing to submit your will to the will of our Heavenly Father. Mosiah 3:19 "For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."

      95 And he makes them equal in power, and in might, and in dominion." D&C 76 is about the three kingdoms of glory. These verses explain that all those who inherit the Celestrial Kingdom are equal. It doesn't say they will be equal to God.

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called." Jesus Christ is the God of this earth. It is his stewardship from our Heavenly Father.
      Who is/was Lucifer's father? He was a son of the morning according to Isaiah 14. Where did he come from?

    Only 0:35 seconds in, and you're wrong. The LDS faith does not equate resurrection with salvation. The first being the body and spirit coming back together in a perfect immortal union, and the later being in the presence of God.
    I'll listen to the rest, but you're off to a bad start, and it will be interesting to see where this leads from such a false premise to begin with.

      She is actually correct, and when she stated "to some extent", she is starting off correctly because Lds members do believe the atonement of Christ is, in some way, saving them because it would be considered the "first estate" of the 3 different resurrections they believe in.

      God made everyone knowing everyone would be different. People would experience personal growth at their own pace. Your definition of 100% is not the same as my 100%, or even Heavenly Fathers 100%. My point is... this comment given by E R is so true because I know a lot of people who do lie or have gone through the temple not being prepared spiritually. Anyone who attempts to do their very best in doing what needs to be done should be accounted as 100%.
      Then again, I also know people who do live in that 100% category in the context of this comment.

Is she planning to explain the differences in doctrine of the Catholics, Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists and every other Christian sect or is she just interested in her continual bigotous rant against The Church of Jesus Christ? Many of the sources she uses are not sources the church uses as some are opinions of past church leaders that were never accepted as doctrine. Many people thought is was perfectly fine to rail against the Jews and their beliefs, in the 1930's, which led to bigotry, hate, violence and then mass genocide. Why not just respect each other's beliefs and actually practice the teachings Jesus teaches by loving one another and sharing that message? That's true Christianity.

You can try and justify religious bigotry and hate, all you want, but it won't work and most people know it. I've met many atheists, agnostics and people of many other faiths that I believe don't have the full truth, as I believe it, but would NEVER make a video, let alone a bunch of videos, criticizing their faiths and beliefs and neither would any other Latter-day Saint nor our church and we never have. And how, may I ask, does Jesse "know the missionaries were going down the wrong path?" Did Jesus Christ himself appear to her and tell her? Does she make this claim? There is no love in criticizing others' religious beliefs, it's pure bigotry and hate, is all. Anyone is welcome to share their beliefs of what they believe to be true, without criticizing others and their beliefs, as Jesus himself did and as our millions of missionaries have and continue to do. And we testify that we make these claims by the power of the Holy Ghost and numerous appearances from Jesus Christ to our prophets and apostles, as in ancient times. Does Jesse, or yourself, claim to speak by the power of the Holy Ghost? Has Jesse, yourself or any other Protestant or Catholic church leader ever claimed to have seen and spoken with Jesus Christ?

All of our hymns are about Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ that testifies of Jesus Christ, nearly 3 times as much as the Bible does and several of our prophets and apostles have seen and have spoken with Jesus Christ and testify of Him, that He lives and that He is the Son of God, our Heavenly Father. Yes, we are fully aware of who Jesus Christ is and we support our 100k+ missionaries around the world, in sharing this message and testifying of Jesus Christ. Please stop your bigotry and judgement by calling others you don't agree with, a cult, and just teach what you believe and leave others in peace and just love them, unconditionally. God bless!

      The closest thing Scripture says to there being different levels of heaven is found in 2 Corinthians 12:2, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know-God knows.” Some interpret this as indicating that there are three different levels of heaven. This view has no basis in Scripture.
      Paul is not saying that there are three heavens or even three levels of heaven. In many ancient cultures, people used the term heaven to describe three different “realms”-the sky, outer space, and then a spiritual heaven. Paul was saying that God took him to the “spiritual” heaven-the realm beyond the physical universe where God dwells. The concept of different levels of heaven may have come in part from Dante’s The Divine Comedy in which the poet describes both heaven and hell as having nine different levels. The Divine Comedy, however, is a fictional work. The idea of different levels of heaven is foreign to Scripture.
      Scripture does speak of different rewards in heaven. Jesus said regarding rewards, “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done” (Revelation 22:12). Since Jesus will be distributing rewards on the basis of what we have done, we can safely say that there will be a time of reward for believers and that the rewards will differ somewhat from person to person.
      Only those works that survive God’s refining fire have eternal value and will be worthy of reward. Those valuable works are referred to as “gold, silver, and costly stones” (1 Corinthians 3:12) and are those things that are built upon the foundation of faith in Christ. Those works that will not be rewarded are called “wood, hay, and stubble”; these are not evil deeds but shallow activities with no eternal value. Rewards will be distributed at the “judgment seat of Christ,” a place where believers’ lives will be evaluated for the purpose of rewards. “Judgment” of believers never refers to punishment for sin. Jesus Christ was punished for our sin when He died on the cross, and God said about us: “I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12). What a glorious thought! The Christian need never fear punishment, but can look forward to crowns of reward that he can cast at the feet of the Savior. In conclusion, there are not different levels of heaven, but there are different levels of reward in heaven.
