I heard this song for the very first time tonight. I was driving and talking to my daughter who went to heaven at the age of 14. Telling her I love her and I miss her and my world is not the same without her. And I thought how nice it would be if the Lord could play me a song. But then Joy FM Atlanta is only playing Christmas music so that was not a possibly. But then this tune caught my ears...What is this, Lord?...And then the words touched my heart...God heard my thoughts and sent me this song. I laughed like Sarah did when she limited God's possibilities and just like God, He showed me that He is not limited. As a terminal diseased patient lying alone in hospital during this Christmas..Songs like this give me hope..I alway believe God is guiding me all the way..even in this hospital bed..my hope and wish is to meet my Saviour and praise his Holy name.
I’m finding the Christmas Season so much harder as I still grieve the loss of my husband who after spending most of December 2019 in hospital between ICU, critical care and Hospice care and passed in early January 2020. Thank you Casting Crown’s for this heartfelt song that reminds me that I am not alone, that God, His precious Son and The Holy Spirit are always with me and He hears my silent groanings, my heavy sighs, and my prayers.

A few Christmases ago I performed this song for patients at a hospital that I work at. We rehearsed for 3 months to get our selection of Christmas songs just right. The more I practiced singing this song the more I felt Gods love for the broken hearted. For those of you out there who have experienced loss remember Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ LOVES YOU. My condolences prayers God bless. I know how you feel. Both my parents passed away two weeks apart a year after 9/11. Dad on August 27th and mom two weeks later but for two different reasons. Dad had cancer for 18 months and mom ended up getting septic that shut her kidneys down. Dad was 59 and mom was 57. I'm 55 now and it still feels like yesterday.

December 21st 2008 : Sitting in my room crying with a dying father in the next room, was the first time I ever encountered Jesus! I was a boy of 11, and was dangerously alone. I asked God to protect me. He did! 18 months later I gave my life to Christ. The first time I heard this song it was in 2017, after I had survived a rollercoaster year! 2017 was full of ups and downs for me. A total hip replacement at the age of 20 caused by a childhood medical condition, the death of my alcoholic father, which was very confusing because they divorced in 2013. But some of the upsides were, I reached full maturity in 2017 and overcame over 7 years of mental illness. :)
What a testimony! God sees each of us, knows us, loves us, and will find us. You were not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Praise God you believed enough to be healed!

I too lost my 16 yr old daughter in April 2021 @Chicky the Awesome . Heard this song for first time & is such a comfort. The song "scars in heaven " by Casting Crowns is also ministering to me in this time of grief. Yes Jesus took my daughter home out of all this uncertainty pain & suffering and she's in His arms. One day I will meet her again and there's no more separation. Praise God for this assurance because of His sacrifice on the cross.

I had only just come to know God a few weeks earlier. While driving home one day this song came over the radio. I hadn't heard it before but thought, 'this is nice'. As I listened to the lyrics I started to tear up and then I cried like never before. The feeling that came over me was love, pure and unconditional love! That experience has never left me. I feel that I was meant to hear that song on that particular day.
Please everyone if you feel like you are so broken. Just remember why Jesus came to this earth. He came to be with you. And he is always looking down on me from heaven because he brought a helper and that was the holy Spirit., Fall down on your knees and pray to the man that died for you that all your sins will be forgiven and you can have a choice to follow him and you will feel so much love . That you have never felt before. You do have someone to talk to You're not alone. And all the hard times our country is going through God is still on the throne. Look up to him and you will find peace. Talk to the Lord and you will see that he can he will start touching your heart with love from him and direction. So in the silent night. My nephew Paul tried to commit suicide two weeks ago by swallowing Drano and cutting his own throat. He has been in critical condition ever since. While he has been in the ICU Burn Unit he suffered a stroke. Someone sent me this link this morning and as soon as I heard it I knew Paul had to hear this message. He is hundreds of miles from me, yet his nurse downloaded this song and played it for him. He had tears in his eyes and the nurse said it is the first time he had become emotional since he's been there. Thank you for this amazing song. I can only hope this begins his true healing...

Sister my heart breaks for you. When I was just 9 years old my sister lost her second child. He was born one day and died the next. She was kept sedated and didn't get to go to his funeral. But in the state she was in I thought she was asleep but she lifted her arms toward heaven and started crying then was quiet. When she came to she said God showed her in a dream that our grandmother was rocking him to sleep. God gave her the strength to put one foot in front of the other. But I remember as a 9 year old how that moved me so when I went through the possibility of losing each of my girls as children through sickness God gave me the strength even though I felt like I was falling apart to trust Him. He was showing me He was holding my husband and I and our precious girls in His arms. My prayers are with you Sister your not alone. Jesus is always always with us in our silent nights.

Im working on a little memorial service at church for him this Sunday, since there are family and friends who we need to consider as far as a true Memorial service. We plan to have that hopefully in the spring once this pandemic has died down. One Christmas shopping trip with my beautiful adult son Matthew, I had him listen to this beautiful song and I sang along with it on my car radio. He had just gotten out of jail, he had a terrible drug addiction and I so wanted this beautiful music to touch his heart. He died of a fentanyl overdose about a year and a half later. Though we try and love them in the toughest of times. Only Jesus can take our pain, sorrow, and suffering away. Thank you for your steadfast love.

@@theravensnest66 after my mom left my dad, he moved in with me, he was older and having health issues. he passed away in 2018, lived with me for 5 years or so and i miss him every time i think about him. The pain subsides, the amount of time between thoughts increases, but no i miss him just as much now.

My condolences prayers God bless. I know how you feel. Both my parents passed away two weeks apart a year after 9/11. Dad on August 27th and mom two weeks later but for two different reasons. Dad had cancer for 18 months and mom ended up getting septic that shut her kidneys down. Dad was 59 and mom was 57. I'm 55 now and it still feels like yesterday.

December 21st 2008 : Sitting in my room crying with a dying father in the next room, was the first time I ever encountered Jesus! I was a boy of 11, and was dangerously alone. I asked God to protect me. He did! 18 months later I gave my life to Christ. The first time I heard this song it was in 2017, after I had survived a rollercoaster year! 2017 was full of ups and downs for me. A total hip replacement at the age of 20 caused by a childhood medical condition, the death of my alcoholic father, which was very confusing because they divorced in 2013. But some of the upsides were, I reached full maturity in 2017 and overcame over 7 years of mental illness. :)
What a testimony! God sees each of us, knows us, loves us, and will find us.

I too lost my 16 yr old daughter in April 2021 @Chicky the Awesome . Heard this song for first time & is such a comfort. The song "scars in heaven " by Casting Crowns is also ministering to me in this time of grief. Yes Jesus took my daughter home out of all this uncertainty pain & suffering and she's in His arms. One day I will meet her again and there's no more separation. Praise God for this assurance because of His sacrifice on the cross.

I had only just come to know God a few weeks earlier. While driving home one day this song came over the radio. I hadn't heard it before but thought, 'this is nice'. As I listened to the lyrics I started to tear up and then I cried like never before. The feeling that came over me was love, pure and unconditional love! That experience has never left me. I feel that I was meant to hear that song on that particular day.

My nephew Paul tried to commit suicide two weeks ago by swallowing Drano and cutting his own throat. He has been in critical condition ever since. While he has been in the ICU Burn Unit he suffered a stroke. Someone sent me this link this morning and as soon as I heard it I knew Paul had to hear this message. He is hundreds of miles from me, yet his nurse downloaded this song and played it for him. He had tears in his eyes and the nurse said it is the first time he had become emotional since he's been there. Thank you for this amazing song. I can only hope this begins his true healing...

Sister my heart breaks for you. When I was just 9 years old my sister lost her second child. He was born one day and died the next. She was kept sedated and didn't get to go to his funeral. But in the state she was in I thought she was asleep but she lifted her arms toward heaven and started crying then was quiet. When she came to she said God showed her in a dream that our grandmother was rocking him to sleep. God gave her the strength to put one foot in front of the other.
But I remember as a 9 year old how that moved me so when I went through the possibility of losing each of my girls as children through sickness God gave me the strength even though I felt like I was falling apart to trust Him. He was showing me He was holding my husband and I and our precious girls in His arms. My prayers are with you Sister your not alone. Jesus is always always with us in our silent nights.

Just heard this song tonight. I lost my husband of 35 years on 11/19/2020, just 3 weeks ago tonight. Im working on a little memorial service at church for him this Sunday, since there are family and friends who we need to consider as far as a true Memorial service. We plan to have that hopefully in the spring once this pandemic has died down.

One Christmas shopping trip with my beautiful adult son Matthew, I had him listen to this beautiful song and I sang along with it on my car radio. He had just gotten out of jail, he had a terrible drug addiction and I so wanted this beautiful music to touch his heart. He died of a fentanyl overdose about a year and a half later. Though we try and love them in the toughest of times. Only Jesus can take our pain, sorrow, and suffering away. Thank you for your steadfast love.

@@theravensnest66 after my mom left my dad, he moved in with me, he was older and having health issues. he passed away in 2018, lived with me for 5 years or so and i miss him every time i think about him. The pain subsides, the amount of time between thoughts increases, but no i miss him just as much now.
