    Who We Are:
Edison Motors is a privately owned Canadian Clean Technology Company That Manufactures Electric Semi Trucks.
Dec 2021: Edison Motors was announced to the public
July 2022: Edison built North America's first electric logging truck.
Oct 2022: Edison completed prototype testing
Nov 2022: Edison Motors began building their first production truck: an Edison L750
Edison Motors aims to produce Electric & Hybrid Vocational Trucks & EV Conversion Kits that deliver fuel savings without compromise.
Edison Motors was founded by Chace Barber and Eric Little who entered their business partnership in 2016 after graduating university and starting a trucking company with a 1969 Kenworth 5 axle Logging Truck (Old Blue). They began hauling logs in Merritt, BC. moved to hauling mining equipment into the Yukon and then expanded to moving drilling rigs in Alberta before returning back to BC Logging.
The business grew, more trucks were added and due to the frustration in serviceability of newer trucks the partners started rebuilding older trucks from the frame rails up to use in their own trucking operation instead of buying new truck. The business grew and expanded to hauling and installing power generation systems. In 2019 this added business aspect and growth to taking on the role of engineering and designing off-grid solar hybrid power systems. After their first successful project design and construction of a first nations community in northern BC Canada, Eric and Chace started to engineering process of a diesel-electric semi truck using the same principles.
The Edison Truck is the result of a trucking company who remanufactured classic logging trucks with their engineering expertise of off-grid hybrid power systems. It is the aim of Edison Team to have the reliability and serviceability of a classic semi with the efficiency, power, and emissions standards of an electric truck.
After reserving a Tesla semi in 2017 and not receiving the truck for 4 years, in 2021 they decided to start building their own electric trucks because that was quicker than waiting for the Tesla delivery and resulted in designing of a more robust truck tailored to the logging and heavy vocational industries their trucking company operated in.
Building The Truck Of The Future With The Quality Of The Past.
We only want to sell you the truck once.
Much like the Pacific trucks of the 1960's and 1970's. The Edison trucks are designed to be able to last, we understand the more uptime the truck sees and the longer it's service life the better the Return on Investment is in the truck.
This is Edison Motors goal and philosophy, build the futures electric truck to run efficient as possible while being as simple to maintain as possible.
We are truckers, building truck, for truckers.
We let the engineers decided what components the truck needs for the electrical side, then we have experienced mechanics tell us what parts and being used and where those parts are going.
Our mechanics are use to working on logging trucks that are broken down in the middle of the bush, they know they're the ones who will have to go repair them. We believe that nobody is better are make sure the truck is reliable and easy to fix as the ones who have to lay in snow at -40' below or in spring mud.
Don't kid yourself, these are the most efficient & modern trucks you can possible buy on the market today, but they're made to be fixed in the bush. Our truck is high tech so your shop doesn't have to be.
When your Edison Truck is delivered you can be sure you won't need to go truck shopping again until you want to expand the fleet
    In The Shop.
It's a fact in the vocational world that trucks are going to break-down. Off-road heavy hauling and logging in Canada beats up equipment. Edison plans for this by engineering our parts and equipment to make them as easy to service as possible for your mechanics.
Edison has a multi-layer process to achieve this goal:
The first step is early involvement of mechanics into the design process, making sure experienced mechanics look at the design for serviceability
Using commonly sourced parts, we try wherever possible to limit any custom built parts and opt for the common aftermarket parts companies use. This makes sure when something breaks you can go into any parts store and have the piece you need to get back on the road
no fault codes, if there is a fault our computer will tell you exact what the check engine light means

Man, this is absolutely incredible! One freaking year! You guys are an absolute unit! It's been awesome to follow this journey from making videos about driving a logging rig and whatever happened from day to day, to sharing the concept for an electric hybrid truck, to naming the company, all the way to now. It's been a hell of a ride from this end. You should be so proud of what you've built! I'm proud to have been allowed to witness the journey.

I'm so excited for you guys. I'm happy i can't across you guys when i did and i have been thrilled the whole way along. I wish the very best for your company as you grow and i pray that you never have to compromise on your founding beliefs from day one. When big finance comes your way, and they undoubtedly will, during those moments when you are faced with making "just a little compromise because that's how it's works in that world". Come back to your videos leading up to getting to fully charged. This is who Edison Motors is. If the way it always has been done worked someone else would have built what you did. The way things have been working is why you had to build your own truck. Because nobody makes anything that last and big finance has destroyed everything good that they touch.

You vould call this style truck, off road heavy duty Something like, model T-200 HD (Topsy, tandem HD) T for Topsy, 2 : tandem axel, and 00 : dually, where a single axel wide single tire could be T for topsy configuration/Body style , 111 , 1for single axel 11 for single wide rim/tire package, a race spec truck could be a T-1.111 ,the (1.) for fir powered steer axel, 1, single rear axel, and 11, for wide single tires all around and a full electric version could be build code TE-100, a retrofit could be Ce-200 for a full electric Carl, tandem dually, ifi was you guys, I'd be buying old somewhat running or decent trucks at auction for cheap, or those been sitting for 10-20 years seldom moved. The cab over Freightliner i used to drive a bit, was traded and has been sitting fir 20 years. Two different ppl i worked for had similar trucks, cab overs, one a GMC with a modified 500hp cat tandem, the Freightliner, cant rember what cat was in it, but we put exhaust, power steering, and added jakes to it! It had a Jake pedal switch on the floor, i accidentally put my big foot on it while idling one day, (not the best install) it needed a switch in series with the pedal switch, i didn't realize i fid it, it just started camming, sounded awesome! The GMC had turbo work, and pump work done supposedly making 600 +hp, it definitely pulled any house we put behind it. With no problem, most was like it wasn't even there, im surprised it didn't have a Detroit like the other truck, a single axel ford, with a 671 Detroit in it, turbo, hate to say it but tfe gmc woukd pull it down the road backwards like nothing.. it did have about 3-5 million miles on it, it had over 2 million on it when they got it, like 40 years ago, they just kept fixing it. Not much left of it two axels engine transmission, cab frame and front clip, aside from doors and seats , that was about it, for about a year it had to be roll started because it had no alternator, starter, battery working. It ran all day unless it coukd be parked on a hill. You can imagine it wasn't the best company to work for, of you wasn't there when they came in from work/ stopping at the bank on friday waiting, the part of your money went to the party fund, and you had to wait until next week, if you wernt't there atleast before they got their shower and left home to go to the party supply, you were crapped out of luck. And better hope they made enough money to make up for it the next week! This begat is how we nearly got killed they were driving with a leaking diaphragm in the rear break can stalled it out pulling a mobile home up hill, it started running backwards down hill, we were throwing tires , cinder blocks, wood blocks, tire chocks , everything we could find under the tires to slow the thing down it basically had no breaks , only thing to do was steer it, one of the guys looked at me and turned white as a sheet, eyes wide open jaw dropped, i don't know what happened, what he saw but to do this in tge middle of a 80' house rolling uncontrolled down a hill. Must have been something, he would only tell me about 1" inch different, and he would not be talking to me anymore, i gear them talking later, apparently i was nearly ended while trying to slow the truck, i was almost caught while throwing a tire and wheel under the trucks tire, and didn't realize it, sorry to ramble, just a story if my past life! Just had a idea about thd possibility of production codes you can use, similar to k code mustangs, ZL-1 camaros ZR1 vetts Z-71 chevy trucks and such, having a build sheet saying T-111 RR BK, BKAR. is alot simpler than saying a topsy body, single axel, single wide tire, red on red, with black trim, and Black powder coated Aluminum rims...
Then a factory about 4x the size what you have now. Build a electric under toat, to carry the frame down the assembly line a e axel, and hydraulic lifts , to support the frame at waist height, move at 2-10 mph, from station to station, start with a frame have a rack that can powder coat about 4 frames at once. And bake them maybe a set of steel rollers with 2" tubing with a 1" bar going to a blunt point to fit into a 12 mm bolt hole in the frame at 4 points, with another 4, tubes 12" .with the same mounting point in them mounting in similar holes in the top of the fram having light weight 2" angle steel making the pins rigid enough to hold in place, another frame , plus two more, and roll around have a 1.5" pipe coming from under the bottom frame . Similar to a floor jack handle with s 90° bend up and a 4' pipe making movement easy one push, one pull. Have roughly 4" wide 3/8" wall , 8" -12" pipe as wheels , with a 4" hollow bar center, two 1/4" plates holdibg thd centers in, and bushings with 2" (52mm) pins and swivel mounts from 4" x 1/2" flat bar. With atleast 4 wheels , i think this will allow most of the frame to be powder coated and baked About 4 deep at once. Roll it into a oven propane or natural gas powered, made from two layers of 18 gauge steel sheet. With a 4" gap held by bolts, and insulation in the gap. With a fiber blanket covering the oven, like header wrap, with heat sensors in 4 corners allowing 4 burner locations to be controlled. Keeping the oven equal temperature , preventing hot spots. Having a shiny steel sheet floor to replect heat , a polished steel, with a clear powder coat , there is awesome powders available now, and it basically last forever. I'd powder coat the whole truck, or atleast tfe frame! Can you imagine a cabover Edison? Im thinkiñg
Something similar to a Scania, mixed with Topsy , a tube frame cab with mini sleeper, bed over driver. With storage behind the driver. A 4" push bar, bumper guard.. a slightly rectangular grill sitting proud if the cab about 8" with a micro hood, opening to allow the washer fluid, coolant, oil, and anything else and having the headlights and signal lights sitting proud with the grill. Only thebumperv sitting a few inches more proud. Keeping the lights more traditional , using four round headlights bulbs, the large single with hi/low in each, with led bulbs adapted, and amber halows, flashing for turn signals . With a strip of 1" amber dots as turn dignaks on the side and front below the headlights. About 12 per side, about 7 in front and 4 as side markers, the halow being parking lights the halo flash plus the dots as turn signals. Should be plenty, use basically the same for stop and tail. 4" red in the backvif the cab and in the rear of the frame. With a 6" strip down the side with rear denders having amber dots on 4" centers, a pair of 4" red stop turn and tail on a 6" panel acrosstge rear, match the sides, above the mud flap mount, holding amber 1" and red 4" two per side, with amber turn strip of 6 per side. Makinga red /amber alternating signal.. really sorry to ramble,, and having about 6 x 1" bolts removed and slide the whole dash , seat, steering wheel, pedals, everything, from center to left side seat, or right side seat, sound like a cool option? Having a 1"x4" rail at the windshield the dash kinda hooks over, and bolted to two bolts in the floor, and two behind the seat sound like a cool option, especially for European and English trucks. Instead of the three windshield thing, have a more narrow front of the cab and windshield the size of a small- medium car, a windshield basically 54"-60" wide, with tiny vent window in front of the door b and windshield at a angle. Going to the doors anout 8" with a steel bar beside the windshield with just enough sheet steel to glue the windshield to, and a rubber to mount and seal the vent window, having thr front side open scooping in air, only a 1" opening having the steel push bar in front of the grill, a 3/16" 1"x 4" braced with a 2" angle with 1/4" thick. Then a 1/8" thick dash with 1" sq tube, and 1x2" 1/8" wall making a sub cab holfing the dash , pedals, steering wheel, and going below holding the seat. Making a strong dafe structure safe for a cab over, the difference from left drive to center drive is only just over 12" the steeing shaft using the same tech as fwd axels to make the move, also having multiple slip joints, the breaks mounted using flexible hoses and throttle by wire being E Drive! Mount a generator using a 6v71 would be awesome or 6v92, or 8v92TA 450 HP+😆 develop s compressor that uses the engibe or electric drive using one way clutches would be cool, ac compressor also , but electric works also! Have an awesome day!!

It's amazing that in the time it's taking Tesla to build a semi truck. You guys have ordered a Tesla semi truck. Got sick of waiting for it to arrive and a designer built your own.

You guys should offer crypto transactions. Most people don’t feed into the system with how crazy taxes are and how many new people coming to the country who don’t have the same respect for the government as traditional Canadians.
