My $5 Western W-36 is finished!

I believe what you have is a W36. Looks just like mine. I have a book with several catalog reprints going back to the 40s and no 38 that looks like that listed. Not being a smarty pants & i could be wrong but Western has a lot of mysterious model numbers & stamps. I think the brass just took the stamp a little harder on your knife. Beautiful sheath & great work restoring the knife!

My eyes aren’t what they use to be and I had my wife look. She thought it was 38. I just looked with a magnifier and you are absolutely correct. W-36, thanks so much for pointing that out and thanks for watching!

So funny I was just looking on ebay and found one not listed as a number, they show a picture of the guard that's a little blurry & it looks like 38. I was really starting to doubt myself on the comment I left you & double check my book when I get home. So thank you for confirming! Lol
