Been loving the build videos I just have a question about cutting the steerer tube. When marking it for cutting do u just mark it as close to the top of the stem as possible? It’s for an emonda
Great video, how would you compare this build to something like the Rocky Mountain Element C90. Thinking about The Top Fuel 9.8 GX AXS T Type or the RM Element C90 for a racing bike (longer marathon to 50-70mile days and 6-10k of climbing)... but struggling to know the better choice. Thanks!
I’d personally say neither are gonna be optimal for endurance XC racing. The geometry of both bike really are more trail focused. Most marathon races have tons of gravel miles and I’d recommend checking out like the epic evo or bc40 for that kinda racing. Unless it’s 70miles of just straight single track with tons of chunky rocks then the top fuel could make sense. It’s just so heavy.
@@bicyclestation their are different versions of the Barzo the one I’m specifically talking about is the trail XC model they according to the specs forkkaster and Barzo Trail XC are virtually identical only difference is brand and one is 4c other is 3ct just wondering from experience which one is more reliable?
@@bicyclestation according to Maxxis Website the Forkkaster V2 is a XC/Trail for mixed conditions they also have a chart I was just wondering how familiar are you with either brand that’s all?
I tried the forkkasters out on my gen 6 fuel ex. I can’t thing of a single Xc race that you’d want that tire. It’s super heavy and really focused on grip. They were great but definitely wouldn’t be even close to picking them for an Xc race. I really think maxxis has two Xc options right now. Aspen and rekon race.
Sacrificing yourself for science (testing the reuse of that master link), I like it! Bike looks sick as usual.
Haha someone has to
With the masterlinks if it doesn’t get a firm click replace it otherwise I’ve reused them so many times 4-5 is when they seem to be totally cooked
Sweet BIKE, nice job on the build, best of luck with it!
Baking a sweet trail bike!! Awesomeness 🔥

Mark right at the tallest point then cut under it by a little bit

How does the Vittoria Barzo Trail XC Compare To Maxxis Forkkaster?
The forkkaster is really a trail tire and the barzo is a XC tire. The barzo would be faster in most situations I think

You know more about them than me. I’ve only used the Xc barzo and the forkkaster was definitely not an Xc tire
