  • This is the entire time lapse of my popsicle house build. 5 months of work in 12 mins! Ive sped it up 10 times faster than the normal time lapse speed and whooped up a little music for the video. I used MAGIX Music Maker 2013 to make the music.

    prowoodman, it's one thing to read building plans but it's another thing entirely to interpret them right and make them a reality. You have the talent and the imagination to move forward and build a masterpiece. Thumbs up!
    You should sell the floor as a rectangle all nice and sanded and let the customer build from there to whatever their heart's desire. Etsy would be a good place to start.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Totally outstandingly awesome! Both your mansions are cool; I like the way you showed how to make the walls (no one else did) to the type of tools tobuilding the windows (including type of glass) as well as type of super glue! Lights would make 'em even better, awesome job! 👍😎

    I got them from a crafts store here called Hobby Lobby. Most any craft stores in your area should have them.

    • @MaZEEZaM
      @MaZEEZaM 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +prowoodman Are they particularly thin than usual? they seem to have a smoother more consistent surface than others ive seen?

    • @prowoodman
      @prowoodman  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MaZEEZaM The sicks I use are the Woodsies brand. They are just normal popsicle sticks. They are a little over 1/16 inch thick.

    • @MaZEEZaM
      @MaZEEZaM 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      hehe, I have no idea what 1/16th of an inch means, um is that 1 inch divided by 16? Im Australian so used to metric scales. I am guessing they are normal thickness anyhow. I was wondering whether I might get more consistency if I used balsa wood without having to manually cut the pop sticks as otherwise I would have to get my dad to cut the sticks which im not sure he would be to keen on. Balsa wood might prove to be rather expensive though.

    • @prowoodman
      @prowoodman  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MaZEEZaM Yes, thats correct. 1/16th of an inch is the first mark on a standard inch measuring scale. Yes, the popsicle sticks are going to be the cheapest way to built it. You will have to look through the sticks and select only the sticks that are straight. As far as cutting them, you just need a pair of pruning snips from your local hardware store.

    dude I saw almost all your works and your good and I was inspired from a science book sooo I thought about it and even though im only 15 I will attempt to make a simple house that's half done so you can see the rafters and studs and at the same time see the stucco and singles (which is sandpaper :D) so yea I bet it will be fun just working on the plans right now

    5:15 why!!?? An amazing job, do you still have it?

    • @prowoodman
      @prowoodman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because I had to cram my hands through 2 small windows to be able to put the ceiling in that room. I should have thought more ahead by putting the ceiling in first then framing the windows last.
      Yes I still have it. Its hanging up in my woodshop on display.

    • @stephenhartford6697
      @stephenhartford6697 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      prowoodman that’s awesome you still have it. I use to build miniature houses out of cardboard. They got damaged over the years of moving and now I don’t have any of them. I always wanted to make a house out of popsicles like you have done here. The one thing that discouraged me from doing was cutting all the ends of the sticks. There’s a device that you have, which I believe is in your other video of how to install windows on popsicle houses. Where did you get that? It’s some kind of cutter?!

    • @prowoodman
      @prowoodman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephenhartford6697 I cut the ends of the sticks with a jig I made for my table saw. You can use any kind of pruning snips to cut them. I also used a pair of Easy Cutters. They have different lines on them that can be used when cutting different angles. You can get them at hobby lobby or most any craft store.
