As much as I think you have the best of intentions Nick, I do have to question your statement on Ghost in the Shell. I think you should just take it as is. A westernized version of the Japanese movie. A quick google search and you will see that in asian cultures remake american movies too, and yes... they cast asian actors. Examples; "Unforgiven" "Ghost" "Dangerous Liaisons" "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" "Sideways" "What Women Want" I would think that Americans pride themselves on being multicultural. And from what I see in the cast list, it's an array of different cultures, I see Danish, Japanese, and Fijian/Australian at a quick glance. The ratio of Japanese/Asian actors is quite high as well. While I don't dismiss the fact that there may be an issue with representation in America, this is not the right movie to project those concerns onto. Because it clearly isn't true in this circumstance.

HI Nick... I have enjoyed watching your VLOG for months. Thank you for your efforts. I have been noticing that my kids and I have collected most of evolution items from shopping malls. There is a mall near us with 16 stops. We go there most days and get some exercise by walking( its 1 KM to go completely around; we walk around twice). Both my kids have collected 6 or 7 evolution items each from the mall.. I have not been as lucky but also have collected almost all my evolution items from the mall. I spin alot of stops of day ( easily close to 100 ) from various parks and malls... almost all our evolution items have come from there.
tbf, about the Ghost In The Shell comment, it's very rare that anime character look remotely Asian, they don't go for it, infact it is often European, namely german for studio Ghibli. If anything, Scarlett Johansson looks quite similar to her, with her facial structure, her face going more than most toward the thin chin, eye's and mouth etc, she's best A list actor for the job imo

We should talk about it with an open mind. :-) As someone who's basically an average white American female, I've never understood why we don't have more diversity in leading acting roles. I would happily pay to see that. There's plenty of talented & attractive Asians that could fill these roles. (for example, Ryan Higa) Although, I feel that since Ghost in the Shell appeals to a niche market, they were trying to use Johansson to appeal to a wider audience. ...I just want a live action anime movie that isn't poop. This is going to sound stupid, but there should be a pokemon go event that incorporates a more interactive vibe. I thought it was funny when nick picked up that card, I thought of something... It would be really cool if rather than hunting on your phone as per usual, trainers could hunt for pokemon cards. For example, just as Nick checked if there was a Rhydon when he found the card, maybe Niantic could hide say a donphan card in a tree and the three teams(yellow, red and blue) can split and search for the card. Then there could be a way for that pokemon to appear on their phone- a simple idea could be just to enter a code listed on the card that you could enter into your phone (which should only be able to work for people who registered for the event and should have a specific time slot so that players outside the event can't access it). I think this would be awesome because it could be a way to promote trainers to stare at their phone less which is what Niantic wants and it seems cool to make a pokemon appear that you wouldnt originally see by just staring at your phone. Yes, this idea has some flaws but Niantic could fix it up and incorporate some cool 90s swag with the cards. Prizes could even be 90s exclusive pokemon merchandise! P.S. CLUES SHOULD BE INCLUDED to find the pokemon so that trainers arent left just as helpless as trainers are searching for a pokemon the normal way on pokemon go ;')
Bani Badwal I think this is a great idea, could be an Easter time event. instead of hinting for eggs, hunting for poke cards! Niantic could have a rep in each capital/large City for a week, for Easter, and maybe have the hard to get Pokemon or even legendary (maybe) as a prize for the team.

Get a portable floor AC unit that vents out your window for the apartment. They work really well and can easily cool down the whole apartment and not use too much electric. Easy and relatively cheap option.
I like how at 3:00 The inside of the shop is at regular speed while the outside of the shop is a time lapse but if you look at the window's reflection you can see Nick in a time lapse while inside he's at regular speed at the same time as his reflection

Ghost in the Shell - As a old school fan of Anime (Since 1992) I feel I'm qualified to comment on Nicks remarks! They are wrong (In my opinion)! Do white cos-players get accused of dressing in Yellow face? Is dubbed Anime considered Americanized by Asians? Are Asians unconformable seeing hordes of white kids dressed up as Asian cartoon characters? NO! Why? Because 99% of Japanese Anime characters do not look Asian (Hear me out!)! You can say its just the style of Animation but that same style depicts businessmen & the elderly as predominately Asian looking! If you look at the facial features, height, build, eye color, hair color, & attitude of these characters you would be hard pressed to find a real life Asian counterpart who wasn't cos-playing (Not counting school girls/boys)! If your an American fan of Anime chances are a none Asian did the voice over! Does this take away from the quality of the product? I don't think so! (Example - Goko's annoying raspy voice in none dubbed DBZ compared to the American Dub!) Further more I don't believe this takes away work from Asians nor do I believe it belittles there culture! Actually I think it does the opposite! I think it generates interest in Anime & in Asian culture! Why would ANYONE who is a fan of Anime & Ghost in the Shell boycott this movie over a actor? What do you think about having only one species of Pokémon per gym? So no multiple Blissey or Multiple anything. Would make a tier 10 gym a lot more diverse.

I work next door to a sponsored poke-stop, a Starbucks, I spin the stop all day with my GoPlus and have yet to get any evolution items from it. I spin it consistently 4-5 days a week
+trnrtips i got 4 daysoff so i used them to do some research. each day i walked approximately 7 miles but i had about 20 pokestops that i could spin in about a 1/2 mile stretch. i walked back and forth spinning the pokestops over and over again. took me about 5 to 7 hours. First day i got a sunstone 2nd day a kings rock 3 day a metal coat. 4th day i went to adiff town with 9 pokestops did the same thing and got an upgrade. if u have the time maybe try this out. pick out some pokestops and spin them for a few hours. seemed to work for me.
The Ghost in the Shell thing is getting old. The body shes in wasn't a human asian body. Generic, not reflective of her as a person whatsoever. Why not address the real issue. That you cannot cast an unknown Asian in a high budget blockbuster. Or rather Hollywood thinks you can't. Instead of not supporting a major adaptation of an anime. I'd like to see this become more normal. More adaptations of anime and manga. You have to support it when you see it. My dad got a kings rock from a sprint pokestop. He has 4 evolutionary items and I only have 1. The one I got was on my 7th day streak when gen 2 first released and I haven't seen one since... We went to a big Onix nest yesterday and my dad picked up another kings rock. We didn't find any metal coats. There were 3 of us and we spun about 30 pokestops each.

Maybe there is not a ton of Japanese female actresses that wanted to play this roll, and if that is the case is that the fault of the producer/creator and every one else who worked on this film? Probably not a lot of women even wanted this roll due to the bodysuit and short hair and stunts involved, so they picked the best of what they got and it was Scarlett Johansson. She actually wanted the roll, and it's neat there are people in Hollywood that are nerdy in the same way I am.

Courtney To get a dratini I recommend water areas. They tend to spawn most often in places where magikarp, slowpoke and psyduck are common.

Ghost in the Shell - As a old school fan of Anime (Since 1992) I feel I'm qualified to comment on Nicks remarks! They are wrong (In my opinion)! Do white cos-players get accused of dressing in Yellow face? Is dubbed Anime considered Americanized by Asians? Are Asians unconformable seeing hordes of white kids dressed up as Asian cartoon characters? NO! Why? Because 99% of Japanese Anime characters do not look Asian (Hear me out!)! You can say its just the style of Animation but that same style depicts businessmen & the elderly as predominately Asian looking! If you look at the facial features, height, build, eye color, hair color, & attitude of these characters you would be hard pressed to find a real life Asian counterpart who wasn't cos-playing (Not counting school girls/boys)!
If your an American fan of Anime chances are a none Asian did the voice over! Does this take away from the quality of the product? I don't think so! (Example - Goko's annoying raspy voice in none dubbed DBZ compared to the American Dub!) Further more I don't believe this takes away work from Asians nor do I believe it belittles there culture! I work next door to a sponsored poke-stop, a Starbucks, I spin the stop all day with my GoPlus and have yet to get any evolution items from it. I spin it consistently 4-5 days a week
See the video was fun, except for the quip about ghost in the shell...really? Like REALLY that is your basis for not seeing a movie?
+trnrtips i got 4 daysoff so i used them to do some research. each day i walked approximately 7 miles but i had about 20 pokestops that i could spin in about a 1/2 mile stretch. i walked back and forth spinning the pokestops over and over again. took me about 5 to 7 hours. First day i got a sunstone 2nd day a kings rock 3 day a metal coat. 4th day i went to adiff town with 9 pokestops did the same thing and got an upgrade. if u have the time maybe try this out. pick out some pokestops and spin them for a few hours. seemed to work for me.
The Ghost in the Shell thing is getting old. The body shes in wasn't a human asian body. Generic, not reflective of her as a person whatsoever.
Why not address the real issue. That you cannot cast an unknown Asian in a high budget blockbuster. Or rather Hollywood thinks you can't. Instead of not supporting a major adaptation of an anime. I'd like to see this become more normal. More adaptations of anime and manga. You have to support it when you see it.
So instead of being racist and whining that there's a white person playing a raceless cyborg in a movie made in a country with a majority white population, I'll be supporting adaptations of anime projects by major film companies. My dad got a kings rock from a sprint pokestop. He has 4 evolutionary items and I only have 1. The one I got was on my 7th day streak when gen 2 first released and I haven't seen one since... We went to a big Onix nest yesterday and my dad picked up another kings rock. We didn't find any metal coats. There were 3 of us and we spun about 30 pokestops each.

Probably not a lot of women even wanted this roll due to the bodysuit and short hair and stunts involved, so they picked the best of what they got and it was Scarlett Johansson.

The results from those two poke stops, did not alter nor confirm anything as spinning two poke stops is also too small a number to confirm anything. I just wanted to reply to your inquiry about the Evolution Items and Sponsored poke stops. I have gotten so far 1 upgrade, 6 metal coat, 3 kings rock, 5 sun stone, and 3 dragon scales. Not a single one came out of a sponsored stop if that helps your data at all.
