As an “African” I do not find it complimentary that our land is only envied and respected on the basis of its potential to be exploited for monetary purposes while neglecting the people who live on it. There’s almost seem to be a new scramble for Africa as the west have come to the realisation that their economy is being negatively affected by Africa’s economic growth.

@PanAfrican Spirit - when Europeans say "Europe for Europeans" they are called racists, bigots and fascists. But on every other continent or in every other country it is ok to say f.ex,. China for the chinese! Taiwan for the taiwanese! Africa for africans! Brazil for brazilians! Mexico for mexicans! etc. The only race that is not allowed to want to have their own countries to themselves, are europeans and scandinavians.

Legit question here. I agree Africa must put Africa first. Nothing wrong with working with others if the split is even. How do you feel about an African American who respects the motherland simply because it’s where our unknown ancestors come from investing in Africa and what would you say are countries who are freindly to African Americans because I have heard good and bad about views and treatment of African Americans in Africa . I want to go to Africa but I honestly never been .

Africa is God's own continent and the motherland because God took his time to bless the land with so many source that generate wealth. The continent has 40 percent of the world's gold and up to 90 percent of its chromium and platinum. The largest reserves of cobalt, diamonds, platinum and uranium in the world are in Africa. It holds 65 per cent of the world's arable land and ten percent of the planet's internal renewable fresh water source..

    1. Have a long term mindset.
    2. Be willing to take risk.
    3. Be careful on money usage, if you're not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
    4. Never claim to know - Ask questions and it's best you work with a financial advisor.

If every adult african pours all knowledge they have into ALL the children of the village or city, it WILL make a HUGE difference. Especially teaching them about finances and starting their own businesses. They can do it ... if they are surrounded by adults who encourage, help, motivate and support them.

I am extremely dissapointed in the voters, the politicians and the EU, who facilitated this ethnic cleansing of native europeans. I guess you experience the same in Africa now? Chinese pouring in?

I don't know why the narrative "Future opportunities/ potential in Africa" yet Africa has always been exploited by the West, supranational corporations and lately, the East is making ground. For Africans, the politicians are embezzling trillions through corruption deals with local big companies and the money is moved abroad to developed countries...the people left out in all this are the ordinary Africans, who are left languishing in poverty, without access to basic needs, being taken advantage of with low wages and very hard work...so yeah, "this opportunity in Africa" is not something new, there has always "been opportunity and potential in Africa" but not for the ordinary masses, but for the Big local companies, global corporations, politicians and Africa's elite.
Motivation is good, but blatant optimism even when presented with facts is just wishful thinking, which never does anyone any good.

While I love hearing positive talk like these about the continent, I also acknowledge that only a person who is already making billions can see and catch these type of opportunities.
You should not listen to these at the moment if you have not yet grown a million-dollar business yourself.
Start now to catch up fast with the opportunities that people are talking about.
Choose your lane, focus on growing it, then, and only then,
would you listen to billionaires and diversify with their strategies.

I'm a Noahide (a mainstream offshoot of Orthodox Judaism for people without a Jewish mother and no desire to join the Jewish people), and our faith is growing like wildfire across sub-Saharan Africa and the Malay Archipelago. We already have hundreds of thousands of converts from Christianity and Islam. As an American with a quarter of my blood being Mesoamerican I know about Chinampas, as they're called. Water gardens in lakes are commonplace, especially in what was formerly known as lake Texcoco. Chinampas, without the use of pack animals, which I understand the tse tse fly is the situation there, the large farming area it creates can be used and never laid fallow, and produce 7-8 harvests a year. As I understand Africa has a rapidly growing population, and we can only hope that the Chinese bring the infrastructure to allow everyone to prosper.

Don't hold your breath! you are hearing him but you are not really hearing him. LISTEN! To truly discover what a people think about you, observe how you are treated in their country, and sometimes even how they attempt to treat you in your own country! The audacity! I weep for Africa. She opens her borders wide to everyone, but no one truly opens their borders to her. I have never been there in the flesh, but I know this: One day I strongly believe that Africa will be judged. God has blessed her with enough for every man woman and child of that soil to prosper. I weep for Africa. She has allowed thieves and opportunists to blatantly rob and steal everything she has to make themselves fat to excess, whilst the children of the house often remain in a state of starving. If God wanted these nations to have what Africa has, He would have given it to them. Africa gives it all away so cheaply! I weep for Africa. What kind of father/steward does that? An irresponsible one! One day I strongly believe that God will judge Africa, because she especially has been blessed amongst nations. I weep for Africa because whilst there is still life ......Maybe... just maybe someone somewhere will wake up and face the harsh reality of their true predicament. May they be bold, may they be strong. Most of all, may they be empowered to do something about it, regardless of the consequences! It is the fear of the Lord and not the fear of man that is the beginning of wisdom. The love of money is the root of ALL EVIL. I weep for Africa. AFRICA you were born free and well provided for. Why then do you persist in allowing yourselves to be placed in their stocks and chains? AFRICA, can you not see? Different nations same Effect. They come, they feed, and you and your children remain hungry! SHAME! Until Africa does it for herself she will always be hugely exploited and remain at the bottom of the ladder, and they know this very well. They know it, so why don't you? Time to come into your own Africa. If not now, then pray tell, when?
