I was in Bakersfield on my way to arcata and when we arrived from Albuquerque the oil field workers had all booked in for the night and there were drugged out people at 2:00 in the morning like a zombie apocalypse so we had to stay someplace in Bakersfield North and the roaches were huge it was that bad
I almost moved there. My friend offered me a job, I stayed for a few days . . . and saw that it be one frying pan to another :(. The wealthy part was gorgeous, but it was so damn strange, it was like they plopped a mecca in the middle of a grey depressing dump :/.
Yeah after both of my parents died from cancer there, I got the fuck out of there and haven't been back since. The only good thing about bakersfield is the Basque restaurants, Luigi's, and La Tapatia. Bakersfield also had a good indoor paintball scene when I lived there. Other than that, it is a depressing place to live. I had like 9 neighbors all die of rare forms of cancer which were probably caused by a flood which moved agriculture products into the water table.
All over a xxx movie rental I never bothered to return to the rental store and everyone thought I produced porno movies.nope I accidentally left it in the employee vcr, I took the vcr home to watch movies over the weekend, and returned it in the beginning of the week and forgot about about the xxx tape I left inside the vcr, I've already mentioned this though
Dr. Jedly, where have you been man! Keep on making more of these great vids! You still need to finish up with the valley: Reseda, Panorama City, NoHo, and all those other dumps deserve a tourism vid, lol.
Dr Jedly The good parts of Noho are Burbank, and the ones that aren't are Van Nuys. The only uniquely noho bad thing is the goddamn Lankershim/Vineland/Universal Nexus intersection

The new Westside Parkway that's been in operation for over a year now is a good example. Truxton Extension is also quite nice as are the renovated areas of downtown leading to Mill Creek. The video is misleading as it seems to focus mostly on the industrial area of town.
You know what I love Bakersfield it is the place where I grew and there is bad air there but you need to look at the positive side of things. You are under estimating Bakersfield. This video is very misleading.
