  • Hey Guys,
Today I am installing the slip doctor anti-slip tread 80 grit. It comes in a pack of 5 for $20.
It was easy to install and it seems to work pretty well.

Eric...It's been two years since you installed, so do they work well when there's snow or ice on those steps? We gotta do somethinng as we're getting older now, and our dog wants to lunge down the steps before we can safely get down. THUMBS UP!!!

Hi @lostinmyspace4910, thanks for the comment and questions. So, after 1 winter, a spring and summer, the tread started to peel. It was a situation where it was not totally coming off but it was enough where my wife did not like the torn and curling look of it so she wanted it all off. This does not mean that they did not work. They did work and it was good before it curled. I have to add that as long as there was no ice on the tread, it worked as described. So if you get them, be sure to salt the steps so that there is no ice on the tread. Other than that, it was safe to step on in the winter months... I hope that helps you out.

@@ericwsu You have been a very good help. Thank you. We will go forward with covering the treads, and salt to minimize the ice buildup.

Do these get hot in the sun during summer.

Hi @steven carter, so I do not recall that they got hot in the summer. As an update, they started to curl and peel off so we too them totally off. When they were on, they did a good job though. hope this helps.

@@ericwsu You have to remember too, that if a nonslip remedy can prevent just one casualty, isn't it worth it? products don't last forever, so buy in bulk, and when it's time to replace, just do it.
