    Thanks to UoPeople, I obtained my associate of science degree in computer science while working full-time.
    In my opinion, the university's biggest strength is offering small-sized courses. Each course has 8 study units (1 unit = 1 week). Each study unit contains a blend of reading material and short assignments that must be submitted during that same week. Because of this, the workload is very steady and predictable, which comes extremely handy for people who work or have other obligations. After completing these 8 study units, students must immediately do their final exam inside a 4-days window.
    The system's design disallows procrastination. Students must stay on top of the courses, and the workload is evenly spread. Completing your studies at this university does require a lot of work. However, the university removes some of that pressure by providing students with a well-oiled system. Lastly, the teachers are very knowledgeable and approachable.
    I am very proud of being an UoPeople graduate.

    I wonder how can someone be involved in UoPeople course ma, and work at the same time ? For the student here is super busy, even with 2 courses per term already. For me, a full time student can’t take more than 2 courses per term. Except if the goal is to just get a degree, but not knowledge really... Meaning you just manage to do your assignments somehow, without reading the textbooks

    • @uopeople
      @uopeople  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Frozin Faya, for your peace of mind please visit the US department of education's website at ed.gov and click 'college accreditation'. When the new page loads, click 'look up a school', then type 'University of the People' into the search box that comes up and search to confirm our accreditation status. Keep in mind that the acceptability of the degree you earn at University of the People is at the complete discretion of the employer you present the degree to for employment purposes. If you are considering a particular career or if you are interested in getting a particular job at a particular company/organization, you may want to research whether UoPeople's program offerings will help you to meet your professional goals.

In order to do that, do I have to enter UOP as a freshman? I went to school until the second grade in the country where I live. Can I get credit when I enter UOP?

    • @uopeople
      @uopeople  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can transfer your credits over to UoPeople when you apply! Our accreditation is a clear indication of the academic excellence and rigorous standards of UoPeople. That being said, we can’t guarantee that our degrees or credits will be accepted by other international academic institutions or employers, since this is determined by each institution individually. Many of our students and graduates report continuing their education at universities including NYU, MIT, the University of Auckland (New Zealand), the University of Nairobi (Kenya), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) and many more. UoPeople graduates have used their education to work at top international companies and organizations such as Google, IBM, Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Amazon and even the United Nations! 💜

      Hi Mujibur, please note that we do not offer student ID cards at this time; that said, you can apply for the International Student Identification Card is issued by ISIC and it requires a proof (letter) that you are a student. You can request such a letter from your program advisor. Then you can apply for the card at www.isic.org

      @@mujiburrahman2745 those who are unable to present their high school certificate due to the issue you mentioned will be able to take the ability-to-benefit test to meet our high school completion requirement: please read more about that here www.uopeople.edu/become-student/admission/ability-to-benefit/ and ask your advisor for further clarification about this. Those who cannot afford the application fee need to send an email to their admissions advisor or to admissions@uopeople.edu to request a grant to help them with the fee.

      @@yoursmagazine8345 please note that you will be able to apply for scholarship to help you with the course assessment fees -- after you have been admitted. I must also inform you that the available scholarships are limited and they are awarded to students on a first-come-first-served basis, and we do not guarantee that all students will receive scholarships. If you already started your online application, please send an email to your admissions advisor or to admissions@uopeople.edu to request for a grant to assist you with the application fee. Keep in mind that we do not offer scholarships and grants for the MBA program at this time.
