Thank you for using his name, rather than referring to him as "gigachad".
Yeah it’s a fun nickname and all, but kinda weird when official broadcasts and journalists keep calling him that, especially since he clearly did not pick that nickname himself
@@AndCaffeine no athlete ever picks their own nickname...
He has to, while commentating Seb is a professional 👌🏼☺️
U guys know why they don't add one or 2 more Plates is this devisions? Or endurance I don't understand
@@lilzeddy I don't understand what you're asking?
The 186 miss by Liu was calculated, he missed it so he can more easily break the total WR by 1 kg continuously, instead of adding a WR 5kg above the standard. 100% calculated, gotta rack up the bonus cheques.
if that was the case he wouldve decided to not make a 3rd attempt, save his energy, and minimize risk of injury to try a personal best.
@@some5672 I thought it was obvious it was a joke.
This kind of humor doesn't translate well over the internet 😂
@@sakaue oop
Your reasoning was too valid bro… we couldn’t tell it was a joke hahahahah
Gigachad clears 🇨🇳
I'm always amazed at how wide Lasha's grip is when he lifts. But this is when I noticed both Garick and Lesman also have a wide grip. Liu's hand placement looks very specific. I'm enjoying seeing how each athlete approaches the bar and makes the lift. This is such an incredible and amazing sport. Also I've been enjoying Mr. Frog and Mr. Thailand. No one can ever accuse weightlifting as being uneventful.
The grip is based on where the bar hangs - and ideally is at the hip crease. I'm not tall, but have long arms and hold it wide because that's the best way to get hip contact as the bar passes my hip in the lift.
its probably because lasha is 6ft 6 whereas most of the lower weightclass lifters have to be shorter so they can fit in their weight class
I am tall with freakishly long arms, even the widest I can grip is not quite at my hip crease
@@Suplex479 I am not so tall but have the same issue, I'm 5'7 with 6'4 wingspan and my hips are so high up because of my long legs, I don't even bother trying these lifts anymore
@@shanks6190 it's still worth doing, I've built up quite respectful numbers even though my disadvantages.
Lesmen is my favorite lifter right now. Glad to see him casually out snatching everybody
Tell that to the guy from Turkmenistan who did 187 in the B group.
Pity he doesn’t have the clean and jerk to go with it cause he’s be unbeatable then but Liu has him covered by a long way
That 3rd attempt looks like Liu is still getting used to his new body mass. All the extra size threw off his balance.
Lessman looks like he has a bowtie on his neck, pareciera que tiene un corbatin en el cuello😂😂😂😂
0:47 People have been No Lifted for way less elbow movement
Where is the movement I don't see it, looks good to me
I was thinking the same thing and I thought they were going to remove that critique from the rule book
Cry baby cry.
@cipaisone hes rightfully pointing out the inconsistency of the application of that absolutely stupid rule and the judging being so wildly different from competition to competition, not "crying."
Good that his second snatch was actually better, his first not so much, but yeah should have gotten at least one red
Bravo por mi compatriota colombiano que compite por hahrein
Why haven’t we seen lesman for so long?
I believe he had shoulder surgery some time ago. Recovery, getting back into shape, and not wanting to stress the shoulder too bad all likely contributed.
Injury
@@sakaue ah i see....thank you
Wes Kitts USA had his rabbit’s foot working too. He didn’t lift, he wasn’t in top ten going in, had the continental slot hanging on by a thread, had 4 different lifters chasing him and he could have got bumped 2 different ways but he came out OK. With luck like that Wes you should have played the lottery today
thought he was wearing a tuxedo cut off ...
Paredes looks tall AF. Or maybe everyone else is just really short
Both!
Liu is listed as 6ft but he looks 5'10" max. Just stop at 4:28. No idea about Lesman though, but he is tall nonetheless
Lessman mide 1.88mts
@@snd7636 He is indeed 5'10''. I met him in person in Paris last december. I am 5'11'', and he is slightly shorter than me.
they tend to be more of the chunky variety
ԿեցցեսԳարիկ ջան❤
Why did Lesman go up in weight?
96kg isn't an olympic weight class this year
900 👍
Chinese coach looks mean af lol
Think he is actually a great guy. Lu xiaojun loved him so much he dragged him on stage during one of his wins.
@@xniu Most of his wins lol.
He looks, but considering interviews with him he does not seem to be like that at all.
That’s Yu Jie. He’s an absolute legend.
When Tian Tao attempted 219 CJ in 2014 he had the biggest smile on his face. Pretty wholesome
Does the guy in the thumbnail shave his pits or is he naturally hairless?
🇦🇲🇦🇲❤️❤️
Doping test 4 the chinese
Your brain need some good drugs cuz it's full of shit
Brain test for the loser😂
Dope test the north koreans too while youre at it
people should be made to take an iq test before being allowed to comment on youtube
