I was preparing for mtb marathon Hero Dolomites for 8 months (race is 17.6.'23.) and 10 days ago car hit me on pedestrian cross with speed over 50km/h, without breaking. So now I lying in bed after surgery (doctor cannot believe that my legs are not broken, but MCL and muscles are torn apart, beside others injuries such as head and back).. so this kind of videos are trully helpful for me to come back, physically and mentally..
@gmbn Milan crashed at Nove Mesto 2023 just in front of me... it happened at the lower part of the bottom BMX section. The was a very hard and in a high speed. He broke handlebars in half and he was in shock for a while until medics took a care of him. Good luck in the next races Milan!
Not a serious injury, but I came off back in October 2021. I came around a corner at about 40 km/h to be confronted with a female jogger with two large dogs not on leads across the whole path. I swerved to avoid the dogs, but hit the edge of a culvert head on. I was flipped straight over the bars, landing heavily on my right wrist. Because I was clipped in though, the bike came over the top of me and wrenched my whole body over the bike again. I ended up with three fractures in my wrist and tore all the ligaments off the bone. Initial surgery repaired the ligaments and pinned the scaphoid back together. Unfortunately scaphoid bone died, so I'm still in 'recovery' waiting for another surgery to put a bone graft in place. 19 months and counting...
Great interview. So glad Milan is better and back at it. What an amazing attitude as well. Bravo to him.
Certainly an inspirational story, his comeback and resilience is next level!

Incredible recovery. Blessed man 🙏
Thank you for this great item. It’s really nice to see Milan in such high spirits again!
Definitely! Even though things didn't go quite to plan for him, he was still upbeat which was great to see.
Getting back on your bike after an accident seems to help with your healing process. We all do it the sooner the better 🤕
Having met Milan in real life, he is my biggest inspiration in cycling by far!
It was great to meet him! His story is really impressive.
Milan has the fastest time on my local mtb route from before his crash. Happy he's back to racing!

Ouch! We hope the rest of your recovery goes well!
My only question is: If your family name is VADER, what the hell were your parents thinking by naming you Milan instead of DARTH????
What a horrible injury. Recovery is amazing...
