Goosefeather is one of the reasons that I believe that there may be evil cats in StarClan. It’s like you said; he was a tool, and nothing more. StarClan didn’t care about his life; they only cared about the connection to StarClan.
@nicki that's the point Maybe they are evil And the cat's from the DF were right about how starclan is So starclan punished them Maybe Tigerstar was right? Maybe it's an trap
It’s like how they used YellowFang, and even after crushing her Warrior dreams punished her with an evil kit who frankly ruined everything for all the clans. It’s obviously not because she’s a medicine cat that happened because of LeafPool
I feel so sorry for goosefeather, he was shown all these prophesies he couldn't understand or doing anything about. A good map to watch about him is probably 'I could never forget' (or at least i think that's what its called). I havent read goosefeathers curse but i really need to now.
If I reach about 50 subs or something I might do a MAP (multi animator project) about goose feather with just the song ‘I will never forget’ I thought about it when I started to think about mah YT, but it’s just planning IF it ever happens! We don’t know yet.
Yellowfang was also a very sad character. 1. The felt on other cats pain. 2. She turned medicine cat when she didn't really want that. 3. She lost her 2 daughters, and got a son that destroy the forest. 4. She always had bad dreams by the moonstone.
Starclan punishes her despite the fact she was a warrior when she got pregnant! It not like she can stop being pregnant as this is cats. And she learnt to stop her powers once she agreed to be medicine cat. That just so wrong. As a warrior she could have learnt this and continue being a warrior but nope. They did yellowfang so wrong.
Goosefeather made me so sad in the beginning of his novella, but later once he goes mad, I liked him quite less, but probably because he had no one to rely on or have friendships to rely on or relate to, unlike Jayfeather and the rest of the Three.
I mean ... other apprentices resented him for being made both an apprentice and medicine cat before them - it was so sad :( Especially when his own sister turned against him :(
Goosefeather would've made an amazing mentor to Jayfeather, and it's upsetting that never went through. He has much more experience to powers like Jayfeather, and I think it would been better for Yellowfang just to guide Dovewing(as her power is much more similar to her) A missed opportunity, hopefully we get to see him in upcoming books, perhaps he finds his way out of starclan and mentors Rootpaw? I would love that! While Tree gives hm knowledge of his powers Goosefeather has the knowledge of being pressured by clan society. Something he needs more then ever.
Goosefeather was an interesting "what if" character that never really saw his full potential. Like Poke said, he deserved so much more than just a depressing, fatalistic novella and some minor roles in a few Super Editions. I've always thought he would have been a great StarClan mentor for Jaypaw. Frankly, I would've just replaced Rock with Goosefeather entirely, and would've thrown out the whole "force greater than StarClan" idea. StarClan was much more interesting when everything about them was a mystery. Nowadays, they're just a bunch of semi-prophetic assholes. I'm hoping they bring Goosefeather back for a cameo just so he can chat with Jayfeather about how awful StarClan is. xD

I feel like the saddest thing about this charecter is that he sees the ones he loves dying but he can't ever change it, it makes me feel really sad and the entire time I read Bluestar's prophecy I thought he wasn't the best charecter but now reading his novella I can understand him more and it makes me so sad, no cat really understood him and he didn't have much cats there for him. Goosefeather didn't deserve to be alone in my opinion. I cried during his entire novella at even the good parts because I now knew more about him and what he was going threw, imagine seeing your own sisters death and not being able to do anything about it, it's really sad and tragic for Goosefeather to be a good cat, but never get the attention he really deserved from others.
Goosefeather reminds me very much of a Wings of Fire character named Clearsight. Both could see every most likely future and was seen as insane because of it. Worst of all, they both experienced this is children, so they never had a chance to be happy
Considering Goosefeather was the one who kept hearing all the prophecies for the future, especially ones that would happen years even after Bluestar's death, then I really am surprised he wasn't the StarClan cat that kept coming to deliver them to the cats that would live through the times those prophecies would happen. It might've just been the authors trying to add in some cool trivia or something, but it does now make me wonder why let him hear prophecies that would happen in his afterlife and then not have him around for any of it in any sort of way
I wish in the first series Bluestar said to both Fireheart and Tigerclaw “Goosefeather was right about you” cause she remembered when Goosefeather snarled at Tigerkit in Bluestar’s prophecy since Goose saw what Tiger would become
At this point I feel like all the ‘past stories’ (before the prophecies begin) are all just about the cats who lead up to how fire star lived and how they contributed to him being there
My theory is that Goosefeather was "halfway to starclan." In the prologue to Bramblestar's storm, it is said that starclan doesn't know where their prophecies come from. Lets assume that by going to the starclan version of the moonstone, they recieve prophecy from the higher powers. What I think is that Goosefeather is seeing both the starclan version of the thunderclan hollow with starclan cats, while at the same time seeing the real thunderclan hollow with living cats. When he touches the moonstone, he simultaneously touches the starclan version and the real version of it. This leads to him seeing both starclan cats and multiple prophecies.
The problem with throwing powers at kits who are forbidden to speak of their powers is that StarClan doesn't care. Yellowfang and Goosefeather were both pushed to become medicine cats against their will, being forbidden to tell anyone their power. They lived in isolation, which led to tragic paths because of the things they wanted but couldn't receive because StarClan didn't take pity. For example, they throw a power at Yellowfang - and in Akira's Yellowfang video, she speaks about how StarClan probably only did that so SkyClan would come back - they don't care about a single cat, just "good fate befall the Clans". Both Goosefeather and Yellowfang were chastised at a young age - similar to Tallstar, whose parents were distant or cold throughout his life, and Crookedstar, who was scorned by his mother for an accident. (I personally don't include Bluestar on this list. She was an adult and she chose her actions as one, while all of the above suffered as kits or apprentices. If Bluestar's story wasn't relevant, I'd absolutely want a Goosefeather Super Edition in her place.) The difference between the other powers (the Three, SquirrelLeaf's telepathy, the Sisters' ghost powers) is that they were known or could be shared. While the Three weren't able to tell their Clans, they were able to tell each other, and they had Firestar to back them up. SquirrelLeaf's telepathy was able to be shared with the traveling cats and it was mostly just forgotten later on because it wasn't hugely relevant. The Sisters' ghost powers were at first a detriment, with Tree and Rootspring getting or feeling "outcasted", but they were helpful throughout both of their series and the Sisters share the power, plus not being ashamed of it. But even Yellowfang is different - she was able to control and manage her powers later on (even though she could have trained as a warrior, had a Brightheart position, learned to control her powers for that Brightheart position . . . Lionblaze and Dovewing and Firestar all had powers and StarClan connections, but even if the Three lost theirs, they all turned out fine as warriors . . .), while Goosefeather just felt like he had resigned to his fate and there was nothing left for him but a tool. In conclusion, Goosefeather is another one of those "tragic Super Edition/Novella original series-prequel" cats. But he's definitely the saddest and most tragic - Tallstar and Crookedstar chose to make their happiness despite what they had been through, and Yellowfang eventually began StarClan Prime (much less enjoyable to read. Fun as non-StarClan, _die_ as StarClan). Only Goosefeather was labeled as crazy for the rest of his life and was sent to sulky corner StarClan, never to be spoken about importantly again. The writers could have _easily_ made him mentor, or talk with Jayfeather due to their similar powers. But no. It's too late. I'm sorry, Goosefeather . . . I also feel him using the vole was more of "I give up, I've resigned to my fate" rather than "I want attention . . . but how?" He seems lost and since no one is bothering to ask or help him, he's just . . . sad. Both Yellowfang and Goosefeather were probably used to bring Firestar over, so why not bother letting the one that was more direct and sorrowful have a chat?! I feel like Bluestar saying Thistleclaw was a "fine warrior" in the OG series but him being potrayed as the opposite in Bluestar's Prophecy, Spottedleaf's Heart, and The Rise of Scourge just dismisses Goosefeather's struggle, even though it was before he was invented in the first place. And while Mapleshade was doing the "make kittens sad" moments with Crooked and Goose, not once did StarClan actually try to convince them that she was wrong - that they were gifts and were all just as important as the other cats, because StarClan definitely picks cats as more important than other or just tools. While Crooked's story he lost those he was close to, he did remember who he himself was, and that's why he paved his own happiness, while Goosefeather's was that he lost everyone he was close to at such a young age and even had to be responsible for some of them. He didn't lose touch of himself because StarClan pushed him to lose his spirit as a kit, and without a mate or a best friend to confide in, he never did have someone to speak to.
Goose feather had a sad life, but Leafpool had a really sad one too. Imagine seeing your children everyday and having them not know your the parent and then having them want to kill you. And THEN they never want to talk to you again
Szilver yeah I know. She felt other cats pain and was forced to become a need cat. She went threw a lot relationship wise and Raggedstar was always unfair to her. I think both had a sad life. I just said leafpool cuz nobody was saying anything about her in the comments. I feel bad for both
But I feel like she was also kinda irresponsible bc instead of ruining just her life, she had to ruin her sister's life as well. But yeah it musta been painful to see your children everyday and not being able to call them as your own
honestly goosefeather (and any sort of future seeing character tbh) remind me strongly of the ocd experience. seeing terrible things happen to people you care about and knowing if you try to stop it theyll think youre crazy and push you away rings so true to intrusive thoughts
i knew this was gonna be about gooseboi before i clicked on the video... i love goosefeather. i want to give this cat a hug. i love his whole character concept even though he’s the main reason i hate starclan. he was only a tool for them and with mostly no reason since he couldn’t do anything about the future... i felt so bad for what he suffered through in his clan, i wanted him to get away from thunderclan so bad. like everyone hated him and he only ended up going mad there and dying offscreen like he never really mattered... he had so much potential though. i liked that they explored a traumatized character like this but it wasn’t nearly enough before he just went to the background. he deserved more than just that novella
*Me thinking that this is going to be funny:* :) *Me waiting for something funny to quote in the comments:* :/ *Me realizing that this video is actually full of amazing analysis and meaningful themes like equality:* :,D -actually crying-
Goosefeather is one of my FAVOURITE characters.I have his novella, but only combined with Mapleshades Vengeance and Ravenpaws Farewell. You are one of my FAVOURITE youtubers and also made me like Warriors a bit more.I am a little slow in the series(Currently on Book 1 of The New Prophecy and took me one year to complete the first series).I even started my own Warrior series!Book by book,my and my sibling have been getting better and better. EDIT:Just fixed one part, not a big deal.
7:02 yes!!! I really don’t like when-for example spiderleg was just getting back together with daisy.....and then they forgot to list him and so they KILLED him off screen?!
I always found Goosefeather interesting, and Im glad his powers were acknowledged as a curse. I was the golden child in my family so I related to him but Im glad I can live in the moment and have my own aspirations.
Goosefeather is one of my favorite characters and could relate to him down to superstition, having thoughts or visions relating to the future relating to what was thought of or seen, but can't change it because they happen anyway, then being seen as crazy and weird by peers, with peers not wanting to hang out with the individual. Am I the only one who saw the part where he hears the future prophecies, many at once thrown at him as terrifying, ending it with "WATER WILL DESTROY YOU"
Speaking of Novellas, I was thinking last night if Whitestorm had a novella. His father, Thistleclaw, was evil, his only other apprentice, Tigerpaw, was also evil, his mom, dead, Aunt- panicked and stressed- SO HOW IS WHITESTORM THE MOST LIKE PERFECT CAT?! “Whitestorm’s Mercy”
Online if you look up Goosfeather, it just says he died from a brain infection. So that could explain why he slowly went crazy and kept mumbling to himself and why he was the way he was.
I just didn't like Goosefeather when he turned kinda old and grumpy then tried to attack Oakkit and Crookedkit then basically caused Crookedkit(Stormkit at the time) to break his jaw
See, my theory is that he saw Mapleshade and was yelling specifically at her since she traumatized him and clearly had to have been there to save Stormkit so quickly. Unfortunately, no other cat could see her so it was interpreted as him screaming at the kits instead.
I do. But I liked her in the main series way more. (I guess you only have one chance to make a good first impression ;) ) Actually after reading the Bluestar Prophecy I was really reluctant to get to other books, because of how badly written the book seemed to me and how I hated the main protagonist. But Dakota made me try and I don't regret giving the main series a go. Now I'm a fan! :D
Poke Glad to hear! Haha.. (but ofc ur a fan if you were in the video) and I have to agree, I liked Bluestars Prophecy, but it wasn’t as great as the other books in my opinion.
I’m so sorry but Poke raging about how Goosefeather died off screen was actually hilarious- Edit: i have a feeling Goosefeather would collect as many poppies as he could, and he’d always smell like them because the seeds were the only thing he could find to try to numb the ghosts and visions.
You know what what would be interesting a evil Goosefeather Au where he just snaps and has a Hollyleaf moment where he shouts at his clan from high rock and tells them everything despite his leader mentor and spirits telling him to stop and to get down. I imagine he would take over the clan somewhat and become the only or main medicine cat by his orders.
Goosefeather wasn’t only scared. He was probably confused. (A bit like me everyday )

Thank you so much for inviting me to collab with you! It was amazing talking about my favourite cat and sharing ideas and analysis
I personally love Goosefeather, he had a terrible childhood and pretty much a terrible life, but I still like goose ^^
"AND IT WAS OFF SCREEEEN" honestly got scared, didn't expect that XD
He just… didn’t wake up one morning… AND IT WAS OFFSCREEEEEEN!
My favorite quote from this
Gosefeather needs to chill most of the time
So does Poke lol
A N D I T W A S O F F S C R E E N ! !
No one
Not a sing soul
Pokes- *and it was off SCREE-*
*AND IT WAS OFF SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEN*
*"AND IT WAS OFFSCREEN!!!"*
That killed me.
Goosefeather must've been scared for life.
Goose feather had a sad life, but Leafpool had a really sad one too. Imagine seeing your children everyday and having them not know your the parent and then having them want to kill you. And THEN they never want to talk to you again
Yeah we need more leafpool love 💓 she went through Soooooooo much!!
But yeah it musta been painful to see your children everyday and not being able to call them as your own
Meya ya definitely. But she would have been in a lot of trouble if her sister didn’t take in the kits as her own. But I do agree
honestly goosefeather (and any sort of future seeing character tbh) remind me strongly of the ocd experience. seeing terrible things happen to people you care about and knowing if you try to stop it theyll think youre crazy and push you away rings so true to intrusive thoughts
"Goosefeather didn't die an honorable death, he just didn't wake up one morning."
*"AND IT WAS OFF SCREEN!"*
i knew this was gonna be about gooseboi before i clicked on the video... i love goosefeather. i want to give this cat a hug. i love his whole character concept even though he’s the main reason i hate starclan. he was only a tool for them and with mostly no reason since he couldn’t do anything about the future... i felt so bad for what he suffered through in his clan, i wanted him to get away from thunderclan so bad. like everyone hated him and he only ended up going mad there and dying offscreen like he never really mattered... he had so much potential though. i liked that they explored a traumatized character like this but it wasn’t nearly enough before he just went to the background. he deserved more than just that novella
Bluekit in Blue-star’s Prophecy: who the heck is this??!
Goose-Feather:pwease help 😅
*Me thinking that this is going to be funny:*
:)
*Me waiting for something funny to quote in the comments:*
:/
*Me realizing that this video is actually full of amazing analysis and meaningful themes like equality:*
:,D -actually crying-
Goosefeather is one of my FAVOURITE characters.I have his novella, but only combined with Mapleshades Vengeance and Ravenpaws Farewell.
You are one of my FAVOURITE youtubers and also made me like Warriors a bit more.I am a little slow in the series(Currently on Book 1 of The New Prophecy and took me one year to complete the first series).I even started my own Warrior series!Book by book,my and my sibling have been getting better and better.
EDIT:Just fixed one part,not a big deal.
I think that goosefeather should reincarnate, like cinderpelt, not necessarily in thunderclan, so that he finally has a normal life
My favorite part was when Poke said, "AND IT WAS OFF SCREEN!"
"And it was OFF SCREEEEEEEEEN"
😂😂😂
Poke straight up scared me with that lmao
The way poke rages about goosefeather's death is just everything
I can’t wait to see more of this series. Good job Akira and Poke.
Yeah ! I hope this new serie will never end (1 000 cats in Warriors, yes ?)
I'm glad there are other Goosefeather fans! He's one of my favorites!
goosefeather was forced to be self-isolated
7:02 yes!!! I really don’t like when-for example spiderleg was just getting back together with daisy.....and then they forgot to list him and so they KILLED him off screen?!
I love your channel! You inspired me to make my own warrior cats TH-cam channel!! Thank you so much!! 😊
Imma Yeet a new sub-
xDaily VelvetX thank you so much! Y’all don’t have to..but it’s so nice that you are! 😊
Hey Squirrelcatwarrior XD

@@squirrel4343 Hi fellow earlyclan member!

GooseFeather Is A Cool Cat! I Love Him But He Is Sad

TH-cam subtitles: *Poe gay*
I always found Goosefeather interesting, and Im glad his powers were acknowledged as a curse. I was the golden child in my family so I related to him but Im glad I can live in the moment and have my own aspirations.
*"AND IT WAS OFF SCREE-"*
*violently chokes on air*
7:01
The war cry of a Warriors fan.
I love the way that missy made your character look!
7:00 this scared me to death 😂
I was just listening to it and then I hear "AND IT WAS OFF SCREEN" I have never laughed harder at myself
Goosefeather is one of my favorite characters and could relate to him down to superstition, having thoughts or visions relating to the future relating to what was thought of or seen, but can't change it because they happen anyway, then being seen as crazy and weird by peers, with peers not wanting to hang out with the individual.
Am I the only one who saw the part where he hears the future prophecies, many at once thrown at him as terrifying, ending it with "WATER WILL DESTROY YOU"
Everyone: Talks about GooseFether in the comments
Me: gets scared when Poke raises her voise
Speaking of Novellas, I was thinking last night if Whitestorm had a novella. His father, Thistleclaw, was evil, his only other apprentice, Tigerpaw, was also evil, his mom, dead, Aunt- panicked and stressed- SO HOW IS WHITESTORM THE MOST LIKE PERFECT CAT?!
“Whitestorm’s Mercy”
Based on his life and attitude: "Whitestorm's Chill"
I wish I could hug goosefeather.
I didn't deserve all this.
Honestly, Goosefeather reminds me of Bruno from Encanto.
Ye lol
Finally, another Goosefeather Stan! He was always one of my favorite characters.
Goosefeather: *Dies off screen*
Poke: *AND IT WAS OFF SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEN*
Goosefeather is a great character! I read Goosefeather's Curse a lot and I can see Goosefeather's confusion and frustration about his power.
Poor Goosefeather....... he really didn’t get the full experience of life.
This made two things happen to me:
1. It made my love Goosefeather
2. It made me hate Starclan
Me: *reads title* g o o s e f e a t h e r
Me: *taps video and talks about Goosefeather*

Online if you look up Goosfeather, it just says he died from a brain infection. So that could explain why he slowly went crazy and kept mumbling to himself and why he was the way he was.
I always thought he was mumbling to Starclan cats, just stopped carrying if someone catches him doing that later in life.
That's what I thought too.
“AND IT WAS OFFSCREEE-“ that got me laughing
Maple shades song next to fall is playing in the back and I have that stuck in my head
FINALLY some more RECOGNITION for this poor boi!!!
I’ve been considering making him my favorite character actually
Nobody:
Not a soul:
Poke: AND IT WAS O F F S C R E E E E N
And it was off screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!!!
Akira: ya imma just interrupt before she kills the Erins
I just didn't like Goosefeather when he turned kinda old and grumpy then tried to attack Oakkit and Crookedkit then basically caused Crookedkit(Stormkit at the time) to break his jaw
See, my theory is that he saw Mapleshade and was yelling specifically at her since she traumatized him and clearly had to have been there to save Stormkit so quickly. Unfortunately, no other cat could see her so it was interpreted as him screaming at the kits instead.
Goosefeather is mood... Honestly
Poor goose feather.. He deserves a free life
I actually like goosefeather. Am I weird😅
Nah, we all stan goose here.
Poke: I HATED the main protagonist.
Me: *Does she still hate Bluestar or..?*
I do. But I liked her in the main series way more. (I guess you only have one chance to make a good first impression ;) )
Actually after reading the Bluestar Prophecy I was really reluctant to get to other books, because of how badly written the book seemed to me and how I hated the main protagonist.
@@laylarosebird7140 Especially bad book to start with :'3
When I saw the notification (I didn’t see the thumb nail yet) I thought it would be about crooked jaw tbh
I’m so sorry but Poke raging about how Goosefeather died off screen was actually hilarious-
Edit: i have a feeling Goosefeather would collect as many poppies as he could, and he’d always smell like them because the seeds were the only thing he could find to try to numb the ghosts and visions.
