But only two places till now, Intercept the redguns and Reach the Coral Convergence.. I managed to finish G1 Michigan... but the other mission with the two phase boss .. I turned off the game to rest after I was surprised there is Phase two and couldn't finish it.. The arena was very easy with the tank build and finished the last S rank with it. I will try your build also. Thanks for sharing it!
The needleguns deal massive damage once you stagger the thing ang get direct hits in. It's probably the closest thing to a cheese strat for that two-phase boss.
@ShinHakumen Yep. I'm still trying his build for an hour. I managed to finish phase 1 with just a little damage taken. But phase 2 is a nightmare... I can't find a chance to use it on him without getting hit first or missing it.. like literally it hits its blades and moves same time. Hard to predict it. All I can do is just keep trying. I almost killed him in one of the attempts. Sometimes I manage to hit him while flying over his head. And sometimes has to be patient for a chance to his when he is trying to hit me
@ShinHakumen I just did, finally.... This boss and redguns mission burned me today TT.. need some long rest haha. For some reason, the one I faced was harder than the video TT. I finished phase 1 with no damage and then phase 2 tried to save my boost and went above him then used the weapons. Worked somehow..
@ShinHakumen I discovered that we can stun him when he first comes. In phase 1, when it starts he jumps in the air to shoot, You can hit him with the needleguns right away to to stun him. A very good start to take 30% of his HP at least.
I use the other shotguns, on a lighter AC and spec it for speed. Pulse buckle on left shoulder to help close in and 10-tube missiles to keep pressure ( been dipping my toe with the slow homing one too) I’ce been wrecking nest lol
Literally the only thing i don't like about this game is the way boosting and flight works, i miss the days of a build where you could boost and QB insanely fast for as long as you want
Bro, that thunder needle is even crazier than you realize. It has a direct hit multiplier of 225. If you hit them while staggered with both of them as your shoulder weapon you will do 80% of any mechs health. You can easily stagger or near stagger things with the laser lance. The laser lance also puts mechs into hit stun and you can almost always follow up with a launcher to instantly stagger any enemy in the game. When you combine all of these together you can one combo almost all arena mechs and it trivializes even the hardest bosses in this game. The last boss in chapter 4 you can do 60% of its health with this one combo. I also one shot the 2nd final boss in the game with this.
Nice Evangelion reference. I use Gundam references in my AC paint jobs. I used to build a lot of GUNPLA, this games customization really hits that pleasure center in my brain.
You could use this complicated build that require skill, knowledge and a good chunk of mental stability to use effectively. Or alternatively you could just use 4 missile launcher and the missle chip for easy mode
I agree shotguns are incredibly powerful in this game. I quickly discovered that running a lightweight mech (boost speed 340) with 2 WR-0777 shotguns and 2 Vvc-703pm plasma launchers absolutely shreds any mech in the game. The launchers take down any shields and half stagger the enemy and a simple 1-2 punch from the shotguns will either straight up kill any lesser mechs or easily put rival mechs and bosses down to half health as long as you max upgrade kinetic damage and stagger damage. The dual shotguns alone pump out 33,150 attack damage and 25,350 impact damage, and that's without the damage bonus you get from staggering.
I made this build accidentally and it got me through the game almost no problem. The last boss took some finesse(the one that revives) but still got it done..absurd build
The gatling guns / Songbird cannons are a shoe-in for MVP loadout for arena and boss fights. But my favorite arena and boss-killer build was just a light, reverse-jointed AC with dual laser pistols and sweet sixteen shotties for stagger damage. Totally devastating and easy to use. Step 1) stagger with laser pistols while jumping/strafing. Step 2) once staggered, dash in close and unload shotties. Will take most arena mechs down to 50% or less. Step 3) Assault Armor blast. You can even dash away before the enemy AC recovers from stagger.
Haha that's crazy I have this same build already. But the arms and FCS did help me out. FCS was the FC006 Abbot. It was top notch close range but yours works well too
I like keeping Assault Armor handy in case I find myself needing to reload all of my weapons when I stagger my enemies. Served me well in the Arena and it has even dealt final blows to some of the enemies.
I've been using the dual gatling and dual stun needle on a 4 leg. It's nice to try something new. this is a pretty good build to brute force things but requires some timing against ACs
When I fought the campaign I came across the heavy tank AC where you can only deal damage at the front of it. This was the moment I build a double shotgun and double Songbird AC, using pulse armor I rush to its face and unload everything I have at it, done that 3-4 times in a row and the boss fight was over. Out of curiosity I took this build to arena, surprisingly this work very well. This build is also newcomer friendly, this is my first AC so I don’t know all of the mechanics, but this dual shotgun load out makes engagement easy for me. Go in, unload your shot, if you miss then back out, if you hit then keep up the pressure.
That boss also has a weakspot at the very top of it. U can shoot missiles, grenades, or just shoot it and get some safe dmg done that way. Allows for a more "airborne" style AC's that can avoid dmg simply because the boss can't really touch u in the air
NO WAY DUDE XD I had no idea you would hop on this magical game someday too, hopefully I catch you in the arena someday man. it will be amazing to see how well you fight
I give this game a 9/10. What I wish was added was an update that allows you to use melee on your right arm (letting you duel wield), and a new arena battle. After beating the main campaign, you unlock a new Arena battle. Number 00 Rank S+, your name. It is an exact mirror match with the AI, so it is using your current build and has 1 repair on it (you still get none). Lastly some future DLC with new weapons, armor, and missions.
lol that last arena guy took me exactly 18 seconds as well on my first try. i used mind alpha legs, the same shotgun, 2 sets of songbirds, as well as the laser lance melee weapon to get right in his face with a charged attack before unloading. if you hit well the lance alone can stagger, but if not the shotgun usually does the rest. what's also really fun is using the lance in combination with the pile bunker for a double melee strike, but that's probably a less reliable method than point blank songbirds or stun needles.
I’ve played most of the game with a similar build. Had more fun with duel handguns, laser sword and songbird on the back tho. Mostly get them to use up boost and build a little stagger then hit with aoe of songbird into sword. Bonus points if you can throw a kick to the face in there.
Which handguns? The laser handguns or the regular/kinetic ones? I just put the dual long/improved handguns on my build and I didn’t really like it tbh. Felt weak as shit to me, couldn’t build stagger without my shoulder weapons.
You guys would get such a chuckle out of my arena build lmao. I run dual 8-pack or 10-pack rockets on my shoulders, and the 4-pack missile launcher in both hands. Rocket lock fsc on a quad-leg thicc mech. Dead simple
yeah i used dual medium ranged shot guns and 2 rocket pods (the kind that split into a shit ton of smaller ones) on my back and never had to change for the whole game and im well into ng+ without issue
The build that worked for me from start to finish was full tank ap build with chain guns and songbirds. AB into them while firing chain guns. On contact, fire grenades. Repeat. Easy peasy.
Just to let anyone know using this build in recent patch, swap the zimmer shotty’s for the duckets, you get more ammo and better stagger consistency, plus higher projectile speed, and fire rate. I’ve always hated the shotty’s, the play style with them only works if you are perfect in your rotation and don’t miss any shots, more you miss the more opportunity the enemy has to stagger you instead. Zimmer may have higher numbers in damage and stagger but the consistency is far lower especially for players that don’t have what it takes to not only never miss but never mess up the rotation getting caught during reload without getting the stagger.
It's less about the parts, and more about the shotguns and songbirds. I did the whole game with a pair of Zimmermans and a pair of Songbirds once I unlocked them. You don't even need the inverted legs. I did it all with a medium build with humanoid legs. But I actually used a close-range FCS. Shotguns work best at close range, after all. The explosions from the Songbirds don't harm the user. So feel free to use them at point blank range. This build made it feel like I was cheating AC6. It wasn't fun, but it was better than getting brick walled by bosses, like the C Spider and Ibis.
This is what i accidentally found out today lol, dual shotguns, not the first gen or laser gen but the 3rd kinetic shotgun you get which is an assault type is absolutely OP! lol. The stagger stats ontop if just phenominal.
Use the needle gun for stunning (VIENTO). Upside is it's light and projectiles have fairly high velocity - you just need to aim properly. Downside is it has mid ammo capabilities. You can't spam it as you'll quick find yourself out of ammo. Hit it right, and you will stagger your enemies fairly quickly.
I just tested it. It's a stunner :) Kille Rank 1 in 17 secs and stun locked Juggernaut in the climbing the wall mission. Build: VIENTO VIENTO V60SNA V60SNA VE44B FIRMEZA NACHTREIHER MIND BETA ALULA TALBOT VP200 AP: 9320 DEF: 1103 ATT. STAB: 1420 BOOST SPD: 329
I found the arena super strange when it came to the ranking system, there was fights in D,C and B that I struggled with more than anything that was in A and S tier.
I beat the game using dual Zimmerman shotguns, and dual stun needle launchers, with the VE-44 AC set. My second favorite build is dual Hu-Ben gattling guns, songbirds on RS, pile bunker on LS, Basho head, Tian Qiang body, Melander C3 arms, Wrecker legs, BST-G2 boost, FCS-G2/P05, VP-20S engine.
I ran the same shotguns but with two 10 missle launchers. got me through the arena with 45-50 second battles. However the build lacked the stopping power with stuns. In my opinion, the tank build never outperformed agile builds. Damage is only great if you can land it.
i ran the same deal i recommend when you get them changing to the BML -G2/P17SPL-16 shoulder rockets they shot 2 small rockets that split before impact into 8 smaller rockets each so 16 each shot it has the highest over all impact I've seen for single target rockets and the only thing you really lose is multi lock
I beat all 3 endings with the double zimmerman shottys with reverse joints, right shoulder being either the double donk grenade launcher or the big howitzer round one i cant remember the name of. my left should was always a melee weapon of some sort, use the right shoulder and double shottys for stagger, use melee, switch to shotguns again and it flowed extremely nicely to combo. the final boss of ending 3 gave me the most trouble with this build, and so did the IBIS series on my first encounter with it.
My go to is either light reverse joint with Dual laser pistols(ar range and damage with machine gun fire rate and can be buffed by generstor) and the dafeng generator with the highest capacity that weight a tone, paired as many missiles as possible. The other build is the same but with heavy reverse joints Snd twin stun nedle lounchers. Staying mobile with the stagger and fire power of a quad/tank is truly amazing. Then it s slils thrusters obviously and FCS is up to you
I use duel flamethrowers and duel stun needle with the wheelchair tank legs. Just zoom in, barrel stuff them with the stun needles while blasting flames, rince, repeat. kills ACs in 2-3 cycles of the needle reload
I was having some trouble with arena, so I thought I'd try out with one shotgun. it trivialized the rest of them that I had unlocked. It still took some time to actually beat them, but that's probably a skill issue on my part. I'll have to give this build a go if I find myself struggling again!
This is essentially how I beat the game, the same two shotguns and the same reverse joints but with the larger single shot shoulder mounted grenade launcher and a sustained guard shield
With double Zimmerman and two VP60-LCD(shoulder laser shotguns) this "Final" can be done in ten seconds(and even less then 10 if don't miss a single shot). With OS chips all in damage of course(kinetic and energy).
this game is great. and I'm having a lot of fun. even though I get clapped occasionally lolz. MP is good but there needs to be way more of it.. not only head to head, but co-op or pve. imagine how cool it would be doing a 2 or 3 man mission. with a boss at the end.. if done right. it would be amazing. and if it was released as a form of dlc. I think I'd actually buy it.
I could imagine multiplayer missions where there is usually no "host" vip player, and other players can also go on a alt version of that mission with the role to intercept and shut down the others' mission. Co-operative PvPvE. Like, imagine a convoy that is a priority target to deliver or attack, and another player or two are also en route to do the opposite and destroy/ guard the convoy. It'd fit perfectly with the "playing both sides" morality system of AC. And man, imagine the brutal assassinations players could do upon others with those missions. Independants vs Independants, it's like facing Elite foes that you have zero intel on 'cause the other side recruited them just before the mission.
NooOoOO, You won me on this same thing, i speedruned all the arena fights, altough i speedruned most bosses too!with a similar time, some took me surprisingly less, and others lasted more than 20 secs Altough any major boss so far lasted from 1 minute to 2:50 Only some special bossses lasted more than 3 minutes tough I'm having fun so far, i'd might as well document My take on it, due to the fact i actually did it with no major optimization nor skill, and it was all Made with the History Shop Cap But who knows Great Video Nonetheless Surprised to already see a max optimization build looool
Dual Zimmerman. Dual stun needle. Open with kick, Zimmerman, stun needle, repeat. This can easily destroy all ACs. VE set with light arms for face smash tank. NGI 000 generator is personal preference. Most arena fights took me about 15 seconds

All I can do is just keep trying. I almost killed him in one of the attempts.
Sometimes I manage to hit him while flying over his head. And sometimes has to be patient for a chance to his when he is trying to hit me
@@SymphoColors Keep at it. You'll get him eventually XD
@ShinHakumen I just did, finally....
Ive actually been using double shotguns and the needle launcher too, just without the songbirds but on a much lighter ac
Lance, Gatling Gun, Double split missiles on both back slots
Constant pressure and shreds when you stagger
I like that the gimmick weapon is actually useful in AC6 unlike every other fromsoft game’s gimmick weapon.
As soon as I got the tutorial mission for duel wielding weapons I've been trying to devise the perfect duel shotgun build.
Dual*
My bad
Duo duo shotty
I use the other shotguns, on a lighter AC and spec it for speed. Pulse buckle on left shoulder to help close in and 10-tube missiles to keep pressure ( been dipping my toe with the slow homing one too) I’ce been wrecking nest lol
Was struggling at the beginning of Chap3. Put on this build and stayed in close to mid range. Melted the game
I have a build guide coming up on almost this exactly! Yes, it's amazing. They'll probably nerf the Stun Needle.
Stun needle❌
Thunder needle ✅
Nice Evangelion reference. I use Gundam references in my AC paint jobs. I used to build a lot of GUNPLA, this games customization really hits that pleasure center in my brain.
I've been using this build as well unknowingly but pile bunker instead of songbirds
You could use this complicated build that require skill, knowledge and a good chunk of mental stability to use effectively.
Or alternatively you could just use 4 missile launcher and the missle chip for easy mode
i tried his build and kinda just mashed the buttons and still beat the last arena boss in under 30 to 40 seconds so i would not say takes skill
this is how I went through a shitton of missions. MISSILES EVERYWHERE.
Sim Racing and Armores Core, this man has exquisite taste.
Allows for a more "airborne" style AC's that can avoid dmg simply because the boss can't really touch u in the air
wow... this really show's the difference to those who are only just trying out AC than those who played any mech game.
Great strats! I'm moving through the game pretty slow, but with these videos it helps build foresight on what to expect and potential builds later on.
Felt weak as shit to me, couldn’t build stagger without my shoulder weapons.
did the entire game with dual zimmerman, those shotguns are pure hell unleashed on the target in one click
My strat has been to use dual songbirds firing at the same time to almost immediately stagger and then melt with dual miniguns
You guys would get such a chuckle out of my arena build lmao. I run dual 8-pack or 10-pack rockets on my shoulders, and the 4-pack missile launcher in both hands. Rocket lock fsc on a quad-leg thicc mech. Dead simple
yeah i used dual medium ranged shot guns and 2 rocket pods (the kind that split into a shit ton of smaller ones) on my back and never had to change for the whole game and im well into ng+ without issue
thanks for the setup i totaly underestimated the shotgun. used the energie weapons but this setup is just crazy
"i just about had it with yo Evangelion lookin' ass, super go emerald time!"
*Laugh track ensues*
Use the needle gun for stunning (VIENTO). Upside is it's light and projectiles have fairly high velocity - you just need to aim properly. Downside is it has mid ammo capabilities. You can't spam it as you'll quick find yourself out of ammo. Hit it right, and you will stagger your enemies fairly quickly.
I just tested it. It's a stunner :) Kille Rank 1 in 17 secs and stun locked Juggernaut in the climbing the wall mission. Build:
VIENTO
VIENTO
V60SNA
V60SNA
VE44B
FIRMEZA
NACHTREIHER
MIND BETA
ALULA
TALBOT
VP200
AP: 9320
DEF: 1103
ATT. STAB: 1420
BOOST SPD: 329
I found the arena super strange when it came to the ranking system, there was fights in D,C and B that I struggled with more than anything that was in A and S tier.
Me with duel mini guns going through the entire arena
dual mini's absolutely shreds light to medium weights
Added with 2 laser cannons on the shoulders 🤌🏻👌🏻
@@itsmejordan_t1589grenade launcher is better
Everyone with the Unit 01 color schemes. Like it.
this is great stuff, let's make it more OP by putting in tank legs and all the heavy stuff for 2x the AP
From SimRacing too Raven LMAO, Luv your Content Bro
This game is dope I haven’t played an AC since the button layout was L1R1 was strafe and L2R2 was look up down lol
New to mech games/ armored core and I'm absolutely loving it
You did a great Evangelion reference there
I beat the game using dual Zimmerman shotguns, and dual stun needle launchers, with the VE-44 AC set. My second favorite build is dual Hu-Ben gattling guns, songbirds on RS, pile bunker on LS, Basho head, Tian Qiang body, Melander C3 arms, Wrecker legs, BST-G2 boost, FCS-G2/P05, VP-20S engine.
lol you got dem shakey hands
I ran the same shotguns but with two 10 missle launchers. got me through the arena with 45-50 second battles. However the build lacked the stopping power with stuns. In my opinion, the tank build never outperformed agile builds. Damage is only great if you can land it.
i ran the same deal i recommend when you get them changing to the BML -G2/P17SPL-16 shoulder rockets they shot 2 small rockets that split before impact into 8 smaller rockets each so 16 each shot it has the highest over all impact I've seen for single target rockets and the only thing you really lose is multi lock
Amazing build, great explanation, a true lifesaver!
Loving the Barney build.
Great build, also works well with two chainguns.
You deserve more views and subscribers
I’ve been rocking duel mini guns and duel songbirds and haven’t had a signal issue in arena. Spend all your ost points on kinetic and explosives.
clicked on video for armored core.. but was like MAN I KNOW THAT VOICE... WHATS UP HAMSANDWICH!!!
Then it s slils thrusters obviously and FCS is up to you
I love the Stun Needle launcher, but I really do wish there was a proper sniper cannon back weapon.
Dual chan gun with dual needle luancher on each shoulder. Absolutely destroyed everything
Subscribed. I really appreciate your advice on alternate options, thank you my fellow raven.
this is a testament of how busted the songbirds are
I use duel flamethrowers and duel stun needle with the wheelchair tank legs.
I'll have to give this build a go if I find myself struggling again!
been using this for awhile, its so good, it feels so fun
I managed to beat the spider boss with the double shotgun. It was so satisfying.
Honestly, The Stun needle? my favorite weapon thusfar
this game is great. and I'm having a lot of fun. even though I get clapped occasionally lolz.
I've seen Gundam inspired ACs and and now Evangelion. Im loving it!😎 🔥
NooOoOO, You won me on this same thing, i speedruned all the arena fights, altough i speedruned most bosses too!with a similar time, some took me surprisingly less, and others lasted more than 20 secs
Altough any major boss so far lasted from 1 minute to 2:50
Only some special bossses lasted more than 3 minutes tough
I'm having fun so far, i'd might as well document My take on it, due to the fact i actually did it with no major optimization nor skill, and it was all Made with the History Shop Cap
But who knows
Great Video Nonetheless
Surprised to already see a max optimization build looool

Been running something pretty similar as well, nice build 👌
"It's not the mech, it's the piot"
Dual Zimmerman. Dual stun needle. Open with kick, Zimmerman, stun needle, repeat. This can easily destroy all ACs. VE set with light arms for face smash tank. NGI 000 generator is personal preference. Most arena fights took me about 15 seconds
What a well put together video. On par with Vaatividya. Subscribed!
