I aspire to be a big photographer, and this interview is like a spark for me, it inspires me so much and those last words were so beautiful. Thank you Tim
You have Tim- saved a person who could have ended up with genius ( not me!) Alexander McQueen. I admired him so much, I cried and I didn't when family members did- well proverbial abuse, years of it. Escapist is too mild and doesn't give you the credit you deserve- I'm nervous- your work brought back to life an over loaded with ads for over priced stuff, mundane clothes, cheap? sweatshop maybe, masked as couture- boring- after McQueen's untimely death and John Gallianno's fall from grace- THANK YOU. I would love to spend time working with you, getting inside your head- I am homely, couldn't model, but fashion is so much more than models- so glad you didn't let those damned S stops, stop you- I have a Nikon and telephoto lens and fancy case upstairs gathering dust...On really bad days I think of your photo of The Princess and The Pea- a lovely girl with hair all over I guess and who remembers the gown- the photo made me hungry! But it wasn't sugary pop kitsch. You and your "company" saved the fashion magazine from the garbage can- Namaste from a Sad-Eyed Lady of the Low Lands... ( your favorite BOOKS)
