Sir, I enjoyed the video. I have an uncle that was buried in this cemetery. He fought with Pattons 3rd Army 4th Armd. Div. 37th Tank Battalion. He was in the first tank (Cobra King) that broke into Bastogne on 26 Dec. 44. He was KIA on 19 Mar. 45 in Bad Kreuznach Germany. Our family decided to bring him home several years later. What a beautiful place so far from home.
Thank you for posting this. Many of us Americans will never have the opportunity to visit this place. Thank you as well for visiting them and caring for our boys. My grandfather was 2nd wave of Normandy on D-Day. He earned a Bronze Star with a V and a Purple Heart. Staff Sergeant John L. Winstead, US Army, Infantry.
In Battle of Bulge , American army lost 19200 KIA . Its hard to imagine pain of families who lost husband , sons , fathers . Greeting from Poland to Brave American soldiers . They fight to Free Europe from nazi tyranny. They will be never forgotten .
Wow did this video bring back memories. I was there in 2014. I have my picture at General Patton's grave. He was a HERO of mine since I can remember hearing about him. I am career military. It was very touching. Thank you very much for posting the video.
Thank You Vic, your a man of Honor. I appreciate you making these historical and important videos. May God always be with you. Jerry W. Patton USMC Veteran
Sir, I've been watching your incredible videos all day. You really handled this one with care and a soft touch. My Grandfather was in this battle, and I thank you for your detant.
Vic I share you intrest and humility for cemetaries. I had three uncles engaged i the WW II European Theater. One was i N. Afreica and Salerno, he was wounded seriously in Italy and shipped home. he survived with some nerve damage to an arm. Two others were in the Normandy Invasion one was wounded. Amazingly another who was in Airborn was no even scratched. He made it to the Ardennes without injury. The other was wounded in france so missed the Ardenne but was well enough for the invasio of germany. he was wouned 3 times altogether. I remember the two of them coming home in the Fall of 1945. They had no animosity toward thei, former, "Enemy". I salute yournon partisan effort and respect your neutrality. I lived , for a time in Ukraine, My wife and I would visit old soldiers and give them Chocolate Bars for their service. The there was the civilans: I met a lady who was a generator repairman on Steam Locamotives. She and her Girls would work with nearly frozen hands to keep the generators operational. I have nothing but respect for all soldiers, the fallen have made all attonement neccesary. My brother and I are Marines
My Grandfather's earthly remains rest in Plot:F, Row:7, Grave:11 of this cemetery. PFC William Lynch, Company A, First Battalion, 8th Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. He was killed in action January 20, 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge in Bettendorf Luxembourg, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, posthumously. Thank you so much for honoring him and the 5,075 other American patriots who are also buried here. Sincerely, a very humbled American...
It’s unbelievable that only in this Battle of the Bulge 80.000 American soldiers died, it started around Christmas time in 1944, many of them were brought to the cemetery of Margraten in Holland. They all gave their lives for our freedom!
Hi Hans, thank you for your comments. I believe that only around 20 thousand Americans died during the Battle of the Bulge... the rest of them were either wounded or missing..
In memory of Arthur Felix Chandler killed in the Battle of the Bulge near Luxembourg in the Ardennes, Jan 13, 1945. He received the Silver Star for his valor under fire while calling in an artillery on German positions just before being killed by German tank fire on his position.
My Uncle , the wounded one mentioned was a Technical Seargeant and worked on US Tank recovery and repair. Getting those Shermans back into action to prevent losses like your relatives was his job. The Sherman was at a perpetual dissadvantage, in training, tactics and weaonry. Still they got the job done.
My late father in law fought in the battle of the Ardennes....he married a Dutch woman and every 5 years he would visit her family in Holland then go to the cemetery to visit his buddies....when my son asked him asked if he was a hero...his response was he was no hero....the only heroes were the ones who never came home..
My wife’s great Uncle is buried here, PFC Aston Morgan III 280 FA BN. He almost made it to the end, but he was KIA April 5 1945, he was just barely 17 when he joined the Army. One of countless hero’s from many nations who fought and paid the ultimate price, these lives were not taken in vane, they were for the ultimate cause.
My Wife and I were here in 1976, This is a beautiful, serene and peaceful, also beautiful place...We were glad tha General George S. Patton's gravesite is here..He was a great man and Soldier and as far as I am concerned, HE WAS A SOLDIER'S GENERAL...I'm Retired from the US ARMY after 21 YEARS AND 7 DAYS...According to my DD Form 214... ooorah!! 24 Sep 58 - - 1 Oct 79

Hi, I have been to Hiroshima before but at that time, I was takking photos.. I know about the last standing building in Hiroshima.. Btw, I may be going back in a few months
From wikipedia: From among the Americans' peak strength of 610,000 troops, there were 89,000 casualties, including about 19,000 killed. The "Bulge" was the largest and bloodiest single battle fought by the United States in World War II and the third-deadliest campaign in American history.
Hello, thank you for watching my videos!! 😊😊😊All the American military cemeteries that I have visited around the world (outside the USA) are immaculately kept..
Well, to the Nazis and Fascist Italians he was. The press and politicians didn't think too highly of him either. But I don't care a whole lot what those people think. He was the General we needed when we needed him. Very interesting man, and a great general.
Thank you for posting these videos. They are very respectful and well done. Where does the bell music that played the national anthem come from?
From the top of the chapel.. Thank you for viewing my videos..
Proud to say that this is my grandfather's final resting place. GOD Bless them all! And thanks for producing this video.

he said 80 thousand americans died at the battle of ardens or bulge, that is simply not true
From wikipedia: From among the Americans' peak strength of 610,000 troops, there were 89,000 casualties, including about 19,000 killed. The "Bulge" was the largest and bloodiest single battle fought by the United States in World War II and the third-deadliest campaign in American history.
amazing how they keep these cemeteries so immaculate and green but arlingtons is burnt grass
Hello, thank you for watching my videos!! 😊😊😊All the American military cemeteries that I have visited around the world (outside the USA) are immaculately kept..
You called Patton “Notorious”. Notorious means famous or well known, typically for some bad quality or deed.
Hello, thank you for your comments!! 👍👍👍
Looks like someone drew a picture in the grass wile using their feet
Hello, thank you for your comments!! 👍👍👍
Notorious is not a right word for GS Patton JR imho Vic.
You are right.. You are right... Thank you for your comment!!
Well, to the Nazis and Fascist Italians he was. The press and politicians didn't think too highly of him either. But I don't care a whole lot what those people think. He was the General we needed when we needed him. Very interesting man, and a great general.
I think his "mouth" was his most notorious feature, but the Commander and Chief straightened that problem out.
What I believe is the American's pay the upkeep on these Cemeteries
Yes, there is a Commission (American) responsible the budgets of all military cemeteries around the world!
