- Lakers have drafted Bronny James with the 55th pick in the 2nd round of the NBA Draft, and the sports world has been ablaze with curiosity and hype. This is unprecedented and is NBA history whether people like it or not, and it will prove to be the most interesting story for much if not all of next NBA season. The decline started when Dr Buss decided Jim and Jeanies basketball opinions were more valuable than Jerry West's and Jerry West was pushed out in 2000. Just took a long time for us to hit the bottom because Kobe was so good. Like I'm sorry...Giannis getting his brother on the team is funny. This is just sad. LeBron has to know that this undermines his son in the long term in ways far beyond basketball. Maybe money solves everything, but I couldn't be Bronny and look myself in the mirror and tell myself that I'm an NBA player. And now he can NEVER get that satisfaction. Because while he'd always had a leg up in getting scouting and noticed versus other players, the NBA is still a business.
