the state record lake is about another 40min south and the numbers lake alittle east of that. you can run your large motor on the numbers lake. the ODNR does a great job with the 3 musky lakes you are around.
Great action, I'm sorry those better ones didn't work out. We had the exact same type of day today but with a more scaled down size of fish. Lost the good ones because there were just kind of swiping and not eating, oh well it happens!

Hey Brian, you got any tips for Muskies below dams? I saw a giant under a dam nearby and I’ve been trying like hell to catch him, but have got zero Muskie in 2 weeks of day after day fishing
Nick Yackenchick There's no specific bait I can think of, only because I've caught muskies below dams on just about everything! Medussas, bucktails, topwaters, cranks, glides have all worked well for me. If I was going to pick one though, I'd probably go with a medussa. Hope you can get that big one to go!
Brett Schulze I basically use the same leader regardless of the bait throwing, mostly because I'm lazy and don't want to re-tie 😁 I like using a 10" 130lb fluorocarbon leader from Stealth Tackle.

But those guys are pro guides out there, there are not going to Share secret spots lol and I don't blame them where have you had any luck out there there? If it's OK ask? ;)

@David Oergel In the intro, I wasn't sure what we'd be fishing, so I did say "could be post spawn" but wasn't really sure. As the day went on, and none of the fish we saw had any spawn scars, we decided the fish must be pre spawn, for the most part.
