At Birdview house we are a self funded sanctuary for disabled, rehomed and rehabilited birds. We rehome and slow release native birds back to the wild.
The end of a feed, content babies and family interaction.
Our permanent residents occasionally have babies.
To educate, keep the birds happy and healthy and provide beautiful companion birds for some lucky families, our birds are given wholefoods, native species specific foraging enrichment, inhouse and outside time in our 1000 cubic metres of flight habitat.

Mary came to me with a permanently damaged top mandible, probably from a wrangle with a larger parrot or cockatoo.
We currently have 2 beakless birds here.
Mary does an amazing job of eating what everyone else eats, but also gets ground up nuts, hulled seed, powders, grated and dried fruit and dried veg.
Dad Ocean was not in on this feed time. Uncle Barry 'helped out.'
