Mandy has well over 40 years of experience in rescue and rehabilitation of native and pet birds, small marsupials and lizards.
"They just seem to find me. We go on holidays and a bird with an injury just waddles over. Or someone will be telling a shopkeeper that they just found an injured bird.. I always seem to be in the right place at the right time to help out." It's uncanny. My hubby just rolls his eyes when it happens.
So I created areas around our property to make them feel in as natural an environment as possible while they are recouping, some stay around for years, bringing babies back to visit. I even have some return that I have taken further afield to release where they came from. I get so much satisfaction seeing them back in the wild.
I don't advertise or have affiliation with any groups. People in my area and the Vets and stock stores send people my way.
