Wow, new shop and new lathe. I am more and more envious of you. I think the best innovation of your new lathe is the moveable bed section. Being able to move it to the front of the lathe is a most interesting feature. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new home.

Congratulations and best wishes with the new lathe. It looks awesome. One feature I noticed and really like is that the motor fan is away from your turning so it doesn't draw dust into the motor. I see a lot of lathes where the motor end is plugging as the person is turning.
A very nich lathe. A lot of good features. I prefer the design of the Robust Live Centre over my OneWay Live Centre, especially the pin being parallel with a flat for the locking screw. The OneWay pin taper gets stuck so easily I rarely use it. For your viewers, the MT2 extension is made by many companies which make Morse Tapers. Very good that Robust include this, but they are readily available. I purchased one some years ago. Highly recommended. Dave.
That is a sweet lathe. If I can sell my Powermatic I will get that same lathe. That 16 can turn some huge pieces but I found, if your selling, people do not have the room for large pieces. I made several large salad bowls that were drop dead gorges but can't sell them because there too big. lol. My Powermatic is a great lathe also but just don't need that big of a lathe and too hard to move. I'm going to look at the Scout also.
Why did you go with the S-16 instead of the American Beauty? There doesn’t seem to be a big price difference. Not sure from briefly looking at the Robust wed site what the difference is in features.
So now we are going to hear you say "Robust" 6 to 10 times per video? Another channel I watch got free tractors and equipment. Now that's all you hear is tractor name and model. Prior used to be I did this with the tractor. No name involved! Hope you said hello to Capt Eddie at SWAT!
Kevin Coop Yup. Unless I missed it in the previous video, he doesn’t even mention the brand of previous “white lathe”, as he called it, that he got rid of. I think he had Jet and a Oneway. I am curious if the removable bedway causes any vibration issues.

Thanks very much Sam for all of your help on ordering this wood lathe for me! Ou Rah! Sooo greatful.
Gary
Gary, Have you heard when the lathe might arrive? Sam
I have not. But the invoice filler date is 4/28/2020.
Some well thought out features. Best wishes on this new woodturning twist as Robust dealer.
Sam, yours is the better demonstration of the Sweet 16. I was thinking about one and you convinced me.

Hi Sam, thanks for the mention. The Robust will serve you well. Some of the subtleties of Brent's engineering are amazing.
Wow Sam, incredible lathe. You have earned it!! Wish you many happy turnings on it, can't wait to see your new projects. Best, Bob
Thanks very much.....Sam
Great tour! I am in the market for a bigger lathe sometime soon, and this is going to get serious consideration. Thanks, Sam!
Congratulations Sam! I see more great turns in your future!
Take care, Dave
Haven't seen you for a while, I guess because of TH-cam algorithms. Congratulations on your new lathe Sam. Brent seems to have thought of everything
Yes, I don't understand the algorithms too much but the are not fair for some and treat others better. Just not sure what they do to me or for me. Sam
Congratulations, I see you're taking a turn for the best! One good turn deserves another 👍
Thanks Sam, this lathe is high on my list.
Just let me know when you're ready to make a deal. I can set you up with a robust lathe Sam
I can see why it's called "Sweet 16." Sweet is an understatement. Enjoy it Sam. I'm drooling!
Very cool lathe. Great review.
Wow, Sam...that is so awesome...I am very jealous!
