Like a british Scotty Kilmer! Very good video. There was one thing...I would wrap the wiper arms with some cloth just in case they spring down onto the glass.
Got it all, thanks. Two questions then: 1. Sun? 2. What about the interior? I usually have a foggy film on the windshield, as I live in a very hot sunny country, I presume it's the dashboard is evaporating against the windshield.
I put a sunshade just not on the inside, but on the outside of the windshield and fasten it with the doors - this way it blocks a lot more heat. A sunshade on all the other windows and leaving them slightly open will help a lot too.
Sorry to hear that, but happy to help. If you have any requests, put it in a comment and I'll see what I can do. I'm considering doing a monthly live show dealing with viewers questions - I've even got a name, "Idle Torque" (get it?) - what do you think?
Hi i was wondering if you can make a video about replacing 6x9 speakers and where the speaker cables goes to the amp 2. Good explaining btw i love the instructions. Keep up the work!
I'd just had a new screen, hence the new wipers. If you keep the screen clean and polished and clean the wipers too, they'll last a lot longer than the annual replacement generally recommended.
Thanks, she's getting some serious love this year. New clutch a few months ago, wheelarches fixed up soon and a replacement cylinder head later in the year. Had the aircon regassed a few weeks ago, but then the compressor clutch burnt out in the recent 40 degree heat. So expect a video on replacing that soon.

*Never ever ever leave the wiper arms up with no blades on them.* I work at an auto parts store and every so often somebody lifts their arms to replace the blades and accidentally drops the arms onto the glass while trying to put on the new blades. It often breaks the glass. It's best to put some padding -- a towel or a roll of paper towels -- on the glass to protect the glass against an accidental drop, but if nothing else is available use the packages the new blades come in to keep the arm from hitting the glass if you drop the arm.
You most definitely do not mean "hydroscopic" (which has nothing to do with the subject). Maybe you meant to say "hygroscopic," which is an affinity for water and probably the opposite of what you mean. I'm pretty sure you meant "hydrophobic,." i.e., water-repellent. This made me do a double take on first viewing.
Very dangerous to leave both wiper arms lifted..without the wiper blade. A slight nudge..and the wiper arm will slam down onto the glass and instantly creating a “spider crack”. An experienced professional always put a cloth/towel on the glass IF the wiper blades have been removed to prevent direct contact between metal and windscreen.

Good tip, thanks.
Common trick…slip an old sock over each metal wiper arm
Don't forget to avoid cleaning a hot windscreen, or directly in the sunlight. Great video Cyd!
Use water to cool it down. 😅
Great point! Thanks, Robert
Maybe. depends how strong the sun is in your locale.
@@CycloneCyd It's so strong that the passenger occupancy sensor turns on.
Thanks for another great video. As a 9-3 owner, I've learnt so much from you!
Great to hear! Thanks Jonathan
I'm saving this video for future reference

Yes, it's plasticisers evaporating from the PVC content of the facia. Clean regularly with your favourite window cleaner and a fresh microfibre cloth.

Thanks for all you do...here in the states it hard to find tips and help with Saabs

I am thinking about a speaker upgrade series as I have 6x9s on my rear shelf. I don't have access to an 03-06 so can't show amp2.
I'm going to have to try this on my C1! My wiper jumps around and gets quite annoying, Any chance of an update from the C1s led projectors?
Take care!
We found our C1 benefits well from the new style 'aero' wipers too.
no need to buy new wipers every time. But when you clean the windshield you also need to clean the wipers.

Cool I'll keep a look out.
@@CycloneCyd hey, how often would you expect to regass a 93 on average? I do 6k miles a year with it on most of the time.
@@christopherjones4789 every 5-7 years if all is good. Though we've just had our C1 done for the first time at 11 years old. 👍
Cyd .. Never, Never leave your wiper arms in the upright position without blades on ... One knock and you will be needing yet another Windscreen !
May I ask where you found a new windscreen and how much did it cost you, I’m planning to get my windscreen changed
The screen was supplied and fitted by Autoglass on my insurance. All I paid was my £115 excess
And just a quick last question, what size wiper blades you recommend?

In my country (England) we call it a windscreen
The automotive industry universally call it a windshield. Even in my country (England).
I'm with you there
I call it Phil
Nah windshield is American
👌💪
If you don't have the wipers in like that, it can destroy your windscreen if its flips back!
Great tip, thanks
All that to clean the window screen 😢
