Music from the Planetoid

Eons in the future, Earth receives a message from a rocky planetoid circling around an unsubstantial star at a nondescript location of the Milky Way. On this message is the instructions to synthesize and grow perfect replicas of the intelligent beings from that planetoid, which humans, in all their curiosity, do. The humans and the newly made aliens cojoin into fantastic hominoid/insect/machine beings.
