Dana Ward & Joslyn Davis sat down with "Degrassi" stars Luke Bilyk, Cristine Prosperi and Munro Chambers to talk about what fans can expect when the second half of season 12 returns in October, what it's like being part of a long running show, and which former "Degrassi" stars they look up to.

Maybe I'm just hyper sensitive but I think Canadian accents are noticeably different from Californian ones especially! I'm no expert so it's hard to explain but Californians seem to open up their mouths and elongate their sounds more than Canadians/NorthernMidwesteners. I can especially hear it when Luke speaks. For example, Californians say "Oh" airily with their lips really relaxed but he says it more tightly and restrained. Almost like a low ooh. Low mool instead of mahl for mall, ect.

And no, I'm not trying to be as "American" as possible. Nor am I trying to be as "Canadian" as possible, because where I'm from doesn't dictate who I am, nor does it make me any better than anyone else. There is no need to put words in my mouth to prove a point, I just stated that the standard American and Canadian accents are extremely similar and most people who don't know where they were from probably wouldn't notice a difference at all.
