Great video! This was the first comic that I read since stopping as a kid and it was definitely not what I had expected. I think now with some years and thousands of pages under my belt, I think I would appreciate it more.

just found your channel and lovin it! You mentioned matte paper. Ive been searching high and low for a list of hardcovers with that matte paper. Is there a list or website that would give info on collected editions with matte paper?

Have you heard of any binding issues on this absolute edition? Is yours still holding up? Thanks!
I haven’t heard of binding issues on this release. Definitely for V for Vendetta. Which you can see in my video of that. But, I’ve read through Absolute Watchmen at least twice and have opened it up a bunch for reference. And it’s still holding up!

@@ta5777 no problem! And thank you! I’ve had my eye on that. I have a whole shelf/cube dedicated to Watchmen books. Different printings, books about the series, etc. one of my goals in 2021 is to get the run in single issues too!

They do add a lot to the depth of the story. But, I’d rather people skip them and read the comic parts rather not read Watchmen at all.
Do you have a top 5 or 10 list of Absolute Edition books?
I don’t actually. I own 4 Absolutes and they’re all Alan Moore books. Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and Swamp Thing 1+2. I love the format, I just haven’t had a ton that I’ve wanted or the ones I do want are out of print.

Don’t worry about commenting on old videos! I try to make most of my videos “evergreen.”
I ordered my copy from In Stock Trades dot com in June 2019. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m not sure if that batch at that time was like that.

@@oscarp253 yea! It’s OOP/OOS right now. I’d be shocked if it wasn’t reprinted/restocked at some point. They always keep Watchmen in print in some format and they have recently reprinted it in deluxe hardcover and TPB.
The one with the new one is worse than the previous one, it has no longer ribbon bookmark... And now you have the clock in both slipcase sides instead of the smile on one of them.
@@Flagz69 I knew mine didn’t have a ribbon! Which sucks... but, I didn’t about the smile missing! That’s lame!

@@turtleanton6539 yea! Totally understand! It’s tough to throw down a lot of money on one book when you can buy multiple other great ones for the same price.
Watchmen is a pretty special comic though..... haha 🤔
@@TaylorTalksComics yeah but you can get watchmen deluxe for like 30 euro and then a ton of other books. Are the deluxes really that much smaller then the absolutes? I only got one batman the longhalloween it costed like 50 euro.
@@turtleanton6539 no, the deluxe is the same trim size as a Marvel or DC omnibus if you’re familiar with that size. It’s still bigger than a standard trade paperback or single issue comic book.
But, yea. I’d recommend just getting the deluxe if the price difference is that large.
