Mezzo-sopranos (or Soprano II if you want to get technical) are awesome. They're between Sops and Altos, and they are very real. Not always included if your choir isn't singing an SSAA or SSATB (or some other combo that needs two soprano parts) song, but they do exist. Much love to you. You aren't a wuss. Just part of the crazy Soprano family ♡

I was in a gospel choir at school and my favorite/ most embarrassing moment was when everyone outside was lined up silently and we got out late to line up, so we all sang all the way to our different lines while everyone was staring at us like wtf.

Yes, so many people act like all choir kids are against eachother, but in my experience, my choir class was always so supportive and it was always so much fun.

As someone who was in band and choir at the same time at some point during sixth grade, both are pretty fun. Eventually though I quit band because the music was way too easy and it got boring. (For reference I had already been taking private flute lessons, so it was actually just too easy.) I also quit choir because my teacher refused to change my part to alto because I am most definitely not a soprano. Her reasoning was “well last year you were a soprano >:(“ well guess what? puberty exists-
other than those issues both were fun. I will say though that choir made me a lot more nervous than band because of those high notes lol.
I currently consistently audition for the school musicals and am in orchestra (playing violin). :)

Lilacs Productions *Nothing changes between this and middle school. The biggest difference is that there are slightly older kids and everyone takes football more seriously. Just do whatever you wanna do (classes, clubs, whatever) to be prepared after high school.*
