Is cryo therapy & red light treatment helpful w/ upper extremity lymphedea. I had the same treatment to .map out any good pathways available to reroute lymph drainage .
I wish the video ended by touching on what the possible recommendations would be to the patient for treatment. I greatly appreciate learning about the diagnostic methods here, but am ultimately interested in knowing whether there are reliable treatments for this awful condition. It was mentioned that this was the third and final diagnostic test before consulting with the surgeon prior to possible surgery involving what sounded like the saphenous vein? I wish I could say I’ve heard great things about that treatment, if that’s what is being considered here, but unfortunately the people I either know personally (two older relatives both with lower extremity lymphedema) or have read experiences of online (many) in my support groups have had neutral to negative results and some have said they regret having had the surgery. Their results were either no change or a worsening of their pain and swelling. I haven’t heard of any completely positive result shared, which is disheartening. I don’t know if this vein surgery is what the patients having this testing are being screened for, or if it’s something else that might be more promising. Years ago I sought help and the first vein specialist I saw recommended the saphenous vein procedure to me for both legs, but the second opinion vein specialist told me that due to my swelling I was a high risk for infection and that surgery was never something he’d recommend regardless of my diagnoses (both chronic venous insufficiency- CVI - as well as lymphedema.)
I might benefit immensely from this type of examination but I am already extremely scared and I am running away if my doctor ever considers offering it to me. After my cancer treatments I became extremely sensitive and terrified of injections that I nearly can’t bear a simple blood test these days… it is hard to watch 😢… the doctor patient is a brave woman…
Oh gosh sakes that poor lady. Ohhhh that looks very painful. Oh please 🙄🙏 ✝️ dear God we need the pill thats supposed to cure all types of edemas. Thankyou for helping people even though its lots of needle jabs. 😢 ❤ I wish I could be a participant of the drug trial Acebilistat. ❤
Thank you
Super amazing. I need this so bad. Thank You for this information.
Great video, thanks! May I ask what the exact dilution of ICG and dextrose is?
