The best time to listen to Sade is by yourself in the dark, eyes closed, your favorite drink, and quiet snacks. And let everything GO. I'm relaxed already.

The "Sade band" just slaps with soul, crunchy guitar, jazzy guitar, sexy sax, smooth keys, pulsing bass, and the musical instrument that is Sade. Damn, I can't handle it. Crazy good.

This is a treasure. Her sensibility, her discretion as a choice of artistic life...Sade it's not only a great artist. She's a beautiful persona.

Mate , I like your style. Sade is a one off. Absolute perfection. The band always said that if they were better at the instruments they were playing then it would of been a lot worse. They kept it simple and we have this amazing piece forever.

Johnny, Sade only release a new album every 10 years or so and they tour when they do. They are due for a new album, so if you see that they are coming to a city near you.. make it a priority to see this band live.

Exactly! She takes her sweet time to release her art. We wait. Dutifully. That is an exquisite collection of artists in that band. They are even better live. No background dancers. She twirls and shimmies a bit in bare feet. No need for more. The MUSIC is so good and she’s so beautiful. They command my attention.

Yes!! I was so excited to see this pop up! I’ve been waiting!
Uggghhh, this song - simply stunning. There’s something so calming, and sensual, yet urgent about this song. And, your spot on - the mix of her voice with the band really evokes a mixture of emotions.
The one thing I respect about Sade is that they release so infrequently- almost an album a decade - so, I respect that they release an album when they’ve cultivated the album, there’s nothing mass produced or replicable about their sound. Very similar to Fiona Apple, in that respect.
I could listen to this song on repeat, it’s completely a top 5 song, if I were stuck on an island!!
I’m over the moon that you enjoyed it and that you listened to the album version. It’s definitely a song that needs to breathe, and the often- used video version really edits out all of the sonic atmosphere, as well as some really great vocal moments.
Seriously, how could you justifiably edit this song to 4 minutes? NEVER.

    • @bridgethegapreactions

So thrilled you reacted to the album version!
I can understand the reason for having an edited radio version but the mood isn't the same. It's like liking someone versus being love with someone.
Please react to the album version of Nothing Can Come Between Us, Kiss Of Life, Cherish The Day, Somebody Already Broke My Heart--all bass heavy tracks.
But my favorite is I Never Thought I'd See The Day. It's minimal instruments and vocals from Sade captivates, as she does so well.
