Just tried this and had the bed pumped in about 5 mins. Cool tip!
This saved my night. I also considered the crappy back breaking couch until I saw this. It took about an hour since since I had a smaller trash bag but it did work very well and it was fun watching the bed expand. It's 4 am there is no way I would be able to use a pump with the volume of a vacuum.

Moved the bedrooms in my house, but I had limited space and my bed frame screws were in one of many boxes. Grrr!
2 nights sleeping on a thin yoga matt is a humbling experience.

I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg , as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

This is a great idea! I'll definitely take the largest plastic bag I can find the next time I go camping. I have had to compromise a lot because I've forgotten to take a pump.

I found this a week after I went camping and found out the pump we have (that plugs into the car charger) didn't have right time of adapter. The bed and the nozzle are the same as in the video. Without the adapter the pump wasn't strong enough to force the air in. Thankfully, there was a gas station not too far away that caters to big rigs, so their air pumps worked like jet engines. The fit wasn't exact (so not 100% of the air went in at one time), but it was powerful enough (psi wise) to still work in a few minutes. Then we tied the twin and queen beds on the roof of the car, then drove slowly down the small road back.
We had garbage bags and everything, it wouldn't have been good as the jet engine pumps, but it could have worked in a pinch if there was no gas station nearby!
You should get an award for this.

The time it'd take messing about like this, flapping a bag in the air to fill it then connecting it to the bed and laying on it over and over, you might as well just blow the damn thing up with your mouth lol.
Trust me, you could inflate a dozen or more air mattresses this way by the time you inflate one with your mouth, especially if you have a big garbage bag. Not only do you put in more air each time, but you don't get tired and have to stop for breathing breaks.
Hell no. It would take you at least 10 times longer to fill that mattress up with your lungs than with that trash bag; not to mention a lot more energy.
Lets have a race and test it.
