Vietnam is like a faraway land - exotic and beautiful. Personally, I think Vietnamese cuisine is probably incomparable. It's actually quite delicious! Who doesn't love Vietnamese beef noodle pho! How about crispy pork belly banh mi, not to mention Vietnamese sizzling crispy and savory crepes being served with fresh herbs, vegetables and sweet sour and spicy fish sauce! OMG, my mouth is watering 😁

I think you should breakdown this adventures into part and include it with numbers in the title and descriptions so it's better for people to understand when you started, your first destination, second destination, etc.

You are so lucky to find mam tom, or maybe mam ruoc. I miss my VN food, especially the weird stuff like trung lon (duck or chicken embryo. Also rather shocked to see so much over construction, meaning huge losses from some bank and many investors. too bad, but I prefer the traditional architecture. I was last thereabout--in Phan Rang in 1974.

Hey David. I recommend you getting some moisture wicking long sleeves for sun protection and fast drying in the next town with a market.
I was in Phu Quoc last year. It was really sad to see so many luxury residential area but empty, basically a ghost town. Nice attractions but not much tourists.
Hopefully in future in picks up
