  • It's a race against the clock for this couple as they work converting an ancient dilapidated cattle barn into their dream home before their wedding deadline. Battling with bowed walls, rotting beams, solid bedrock and more, the complications never end, but just maybe the result be worth the challenge.

Well done George and Sarah, congratulations on what you’ve achieved so far, and on your marriage and baby.
Please post an update after the next stage of work. Good luck

good for them it's their forever home and it is just the way they wanted it ! I really hope they enjoy their home especially after the hugh amount of time and effort they put in , they should be so proud of themselves

George used his professional skill as a stonemason to create feature staircases, and rightly so. I hope that they can complete the build and give these forms a function, so they are no longer stairs to nowhere.

George's 'project manager' hoodie is a nice touch 😂

The wedding deadline stressed me out. I can’t imagine having to live through that as they were building!

George needs to start using some respiratory filter when grinding the stone otherwise he’s going to have some serious health issues in his future - could learn a lot about this from his mate the blacksmith

I know that there is sound engineering and physics behind those interlocking stone stairs without mortar or bolts and that they are probably sturdier than the conventional stairs I use everyday. However there is no way in the world I would climb those stairs

God ! How they put pipe down is so wrong. You never lay down thisway how they do it! You just start roll it to in. Than it goes smoothly in.

Not sure it's a great idea to have the (potential) children's room on the other end of the house... ETA: evidently they realized that and made the change.
The decor is definitely not my taste, but to each their own I guess.

Tragic to see old buildings renovated as modern homes.
