  • Thousands of elephants across Thailand work to entertain people - in zoos, at riding camps, in sanctuaries and on beaches. But behind the performances are cruel methods used to produce results. CNA investigates how the animals are trained to dance, paint and perform for tourists.
This is the second of our 3-part special on Thailand's beasts of burden. Read more: cna.asia/2nhQTjo

Nie mieliście kolonializmu i uważacie się za ludzi wolnych. Problem w tym, że nie korzystacie z wolności i nie cieszycie się z tego że macie wieczne wakacje.

Thank you CNA for creating more awareness. Education and awareness is the key to change people's mind about animal performances and tourism.

That lady is very brave, many Thais will blatantly lie about the cruelty to save the face of the nation. Even my close friends play dumb.

This is very painful to watch especially from a country like Thailand which claims to be 94.50% are the follower of the teachings of lord Buddha. Hope very things will be fine for all wild animals out there. Greeting from Nepal. 🇳🇵🙏🇳🇵.

Before be Buddhism, we have traditions and culture about ghost but now its can not seperate from our life. Now 94.5 % of us are Buddist, but we very difference in believe and have freedom in my life. However we are start to change about taking care of my National symbol: elephant. We have the law for control and have the hospital for treat them. And now we have many place like The elephant sanctury for them. You don't know about my country, its very big and have many life styes. We have a lot of project fo take care of them and change our life. Thank you for your kind and worry.

@@คนบางตาหงาย I do know about Thailand cause I have a lot of Thai friends. I've also seen some progressive reports in this CNA channels. it's good that things are progressing in right direction. Thailand is only 513 thousand square kilometre not that much big when it compares to China or to India, though it's 4 times the size of Nepal.

@@moonwalk2997 Yes, That right Thailand is not big when you compare with China. But you not forget we have many life styles and
races. Some people they grow and feeding elephant like pet, some part use them for reserve respect cultural. Thank you for your kind and worry again. I feel happy when see reports in this CNA channels its can press or changes thinking about people who concerned with elephant. However I am not happy when you talk about my country about "Thailand which claims to be 94.50% are the follower of the teachings of lord Buddha." Everybody (Thai) can do, live freedom in my country and have freedom for respect but not
      illegal.

Poor babies and mum elephants 💔😭😢 to inflict pain on such majestic babies for silly human entertainment is just beyond disgusting. I hope this is ended asap and these animals get to live happy natural lives in sanctuaries if they cannot return to the wild after all the abuse and trauma. I hate how much suffering humans cause in this world.
