For this video, you’ll need:
⅞ and 13/16 inch wrenches
an adjustable crescent wrench
a Phillips screwdriver
5/32 inch allen key
When we go to mount our 1812 holders, we’re going to be using these four holes right here on the side of our benchtop. We’ll do so with the four #10-32 screws that are included with your 1812.
We’ll go ahead and we’ll put the #10-32 through the threaded hole on the bottom of your stand, and then using a Phillips screwdriver thread into the benchtop.
Remove the caps of these clamps with a 5/32 inch allen key, set that hardware to the side.
At this point, we can take our 1812 with the permeate end facing down, place that into the holder, place one of the caps. Thread the fastener through the hole.
With a 13/16 inch and a ⅞ inch wrench, we’re going to crack the caps loose on this 1812 element housing. We’re going to remove each of those caps and set those aside.
We’re going to be replacing each of those with a ½ inch union fitting.
We’re going to take one end of that union and set the cap aside, same with the other one.
Then insert that into the inlet and the outlet of each port on your 1812. Get those fittings hand tight.
Hold the center of that union with your 13/16 inch wrench and then snug it up with the ⅞ inch wrench.
Here we can jump to our two sections of 1/2 stainless steel hoses. Insert one end of each into the inlet and one end into the outlet of our 1812.
Hold the center union with a 13/16 inch wrench and then give the top nut a 1 ¼ turn to set the ferrule in that fitting, same with this one down here.
Finally, we're going to take the other ends of our housing hoses here and we’re going to connect the inlet here and get it hand tight.
Connect your outlet to this port on our benchtop. Hold the base of the bulkheads with an adjustable crescent wrench and then give the nut on top a 1 ¼ turn with the ⅞ inch wrench to set the ferrules on each of these ports
