Hi, i wanna know more about this affair, "the tuner in the piano", i'm shoked, it's the greatest internaitonal piano competition, it's unbelievable, there could've been some affairs like this
i completely agree dong hyek is overall a better pianist than rafal blechacz. He is superior especially in technical areas, and his musical interpretation is very pleasant to listen to.
@prossimamente your analysis is the only insightful one in the 7 pages of barely disguised occidentalism i really love your word choice 'schematic and sugary'! also these rhythmic misunderstandings: you don't mention any specific ones but i feel the part at 3:00-3:02 is quite glaring
Perhaps you should trust what you HEAR instead of what you SEE. I couldn't give an arseburger whether the pianist appears to be 'moved'. What matters is whether it transmits through the sound.
Not a jazz fan, I'd guess. Personally, I don't trust a pianist that doesn't appear to be moved by what he is playing. Machines can make good music, but I prefer listening to humans play.

음색이 ..아름답다..
perfect
His sense of rubato, dynamics and timing (and of course, his technique) are impeccable; I haven't come across a better interpretation than this one.
this interpretation is much more smoother and softer than his other performances of this piece
i like the contrast
i love it realy nice playing
Great depth of feeling; feels the emotion of the music intensely
Most exciting new pianist on the scene since Pogorelich. Extraordinary performance and understanding. No wonder he's another Marta Argerich protege.
he is sooooo gooodd!!! awesome, amazing pianist...
amazing

each finger touches the keys with different strengths. It cannot be played better.
You took the words right outta my mouth.
He is as pretty as his playing~~

혹시 인종차별은 아니었겠죠?
조성진 1점 처럼 ..
he can't be happy cuz he didn't win 1st prize. He also shared the 3rd prize with his brother, whom he probably thinks he's better than.
Yeah I agree with you.
Dong Hyek Lim is waaaaaaaaay better than his brother. He certainly deserved better than third with his brother.
i completely agree

did someone realise there was a wrong passage at about 2:10 ? otherwise splendid performance...
right!
You were quite right about this interpretation. It's much less standard than idil biret's (though I still very much enjoy her's).
a bit yes.
just listen to music
How many milliseconds? Can I get a number here?
if only i had his technical capabilities..
i know... why did the guy remove all the videos? ... now i cant watch my favourite shit anymore
not a big fan of that sp right before the coda, but he most definitely makes up for it with rest. Especially the ending scales...
Only at 4:22, 4:28, 4:34 he waited some miliseconds too long on the same key

zimerman has more passion in interpreting this piece.. but this guy is good
