I have a yellow N-Strike Nitefinder with a burnt laser, and a lotta wear, plus a stupid rattling little transparent plastic piece from the laser, which I hate. Amazing build quality despite the fact it fires alone without you pressing the trigger if you punch it a little hard. And it also reaches quite far without an angle comparing to my other nerf blasters despite being an N-Strike. Probably because I live in Brazil, and if it was made here, it's gonna be better than a heck of a load of the current ones, 'cause build quality worsened over the years (and it's really bad compared to something from the USA). Or my darts are too weared down (which they quite are), and all my nerf blasters are weared down shits.
Probably just realized that they were acknowledging that the Elite darts can't shoot straight, thus killing their whole "Elite darts are premium" facade.
Seeing the Volt in this video . . . learning that it has absolutely no screws in it . . . I hate to say this but it feels like Hasbro is purposely trying shit all over the Community. It'll depend on how easy or difficult it is to open the blaster, but if it's an entire bloody process, or even impossible . . . *That* is the 2.0 part. Blasters that aren't deigned for the community any more. Only designed to protect the product. Hasbro is going to alienate the community further and . . . I hate to say this as well . . . it's their own fault in the first place.
I think the real reason is that Hasbro realised with making Alpha Strike that they could remake the Elite line and make a much higher profit per blaster by omitting screws from the design and manufacturing, and still sell them at a similar price.
They most likely won't. Flywheels work, and they'll probably stick to it like how they stuck to the electric springers because those worked for them at the time. Also probably cheaper for them to make flywheelers.
It's not that they don't want us to mod, it's a financial decision. No screws makes assembly on the production line faster which means their factories can crank these out faster, benefits only their bottom line.
I personally believe the Elite 2.0 means “double” the crappy “elite darts”. I like the old design better because the extra dart storage is up front and easy to get to for faster reload, just my personal opinion, keep up the great work!
I think the same. Hell. The color of 2.0 is shitty. Less shitty than that forsaken AR Goosebumps ofc but still. Hell. Alpha Strike color scheme, while not much better, is more acceptable due to its purpose.
That would make it more like X-Com, where, more often than not, your soldiers will miss even with a NINETY FIVE PERCENT CHANCE TO HIT. Even at N-Strike engagement ranges my elites try their best to avoid the target. Granted, apparently the "elite 1.X" darts (even across lines) had inconsistent compression holes in the head, which makes some elites inherently more accurate than others. But if you've been collecting elites since the launch of the Elite 1.0 line, good luck finding all of the 'smaller hole elites' in your collection
With all the problems with ultra is at the end of the day it’s unique but elite 2.0 just feels like it’s catch up for new nerf fans not old school ones who bought them wow over 10 years ago like in my case I bought and modded a gen one firestrike it hits fine and unfortunately it’s strews are rusted shut but hey it’s a serviceable and a great conversation starter and even after all that I still won’t recommend a elite 2.0 I’ll just tell new fans and modders to get 1.0 elites like the firestrike and look up some gides to build a mod from scratch before giving the 2.0 a chance anyway yeah distroy it or wait for someone to do a mod Gide and see if there’s any chance in a performance increase at all.
gotta give them credit, Having the tac rail slide out for the battery tray is freaking clever. plus, I imagine thats an easy way to get a tac rail for any blaster.
Henry Fleischer the design team is probably getting most of their ideas from upper management and the small glimpses of something clever in these blaster are ideas from the engineering

You're ruining the hobby, making it harder for new people to enter it, all of you are. Deal with what you have and you will enjoy the blaster more, 70fps is good enough. Modders aren't their main source, if anything, you're making it harder for new people to join, you make it sound like you HAVE to mod your blaster to get any enjoyment out of it. Deal with what you have and you'll enjoy the blaster more
I recently modified my Firestrike. I took out the air restrictor and painted it Red white and Blue for the Fourth of July. Now shoots much better and only took about 15 minutes to take apart, mod, and put back together.
The switch for the light being a slider is sad but I like that you don't have to hold it down like the fire strike. Another nice advantage is the new location of the batteries. You could potentially 3-d print a new door and get a much stronger light and more batteries in there. I'd also be curious if the no-screws design can take a .... Spring upgrade. It could make modding even better if it could or (more likely) worse. Please figure it out for us!
I agree about the turbine but do we know yet if it is full auto? Could be a semi auto flywheel blaster. Just saying could be more disappointment with 2.0
I own 2 firestrikes that are Orange and they are AMAZING but a 2.0 version seems unnecessary because it is the exactly the same but shiny blue and Orange and !maybe better internals but that's very unlikely so the 2.0 line has some amazing blasters but like 2 out of like 5 blasters in the 2.0 line are good but I think the 2.0 line is a minorly upgraded line of already excellent blasters but some in the 2.0 line are good
I actually super dig this new dieselpunk-Wolfenstein aesthetic of elite 2.0. My biggest hope for this line is that they'll use this chance to re-release things like the Rayven.
I like elite darts only because they work smoothly with almost every blaster but I hate how they are so expensive and how they are inaccurate but to get elite darts I just buy alpha strike blasters or elite 2.0 blasters and I also picked up an aeon pro for SIXTEEN DOLLARS and it is AWESOME

Guy by the name of Shadow3569 tore his Volt apart and posted pics to Reddit. A few things of note were... 1. No catch or trigger springs, both were just plastic tabs 2. The catch is rather thin, he suspects a 5kg spring is the strongest you can put in the Volt 3. The grip is solvent welded
Your Warden Nerf 02.0 video bad experience with two broken blasters made me realize the Volt 2.0 has faux screw heads molded into the plastic as some sort of sick Hasbro joke perhaps? To top it off they do give use twice as many darts is two cool colors yes but they're still inaccurate darts. At least give us a set of (to me fun inaccurate all over the place) elites (are anything but) and include 3 Accustrike darts. oh never mind. accuracy can get boring lol But yes I'd like to see you open this and the Warden up that would be a fun rant video.
Something I am actually considering was putting a real flashlight in there. Every HvZ I've been to has had a night mission and Flashlights are super important.

I took it apart to take out the air restrictor so I can fire short darts out of it It was incredibly painful, good thing I had plastic pryers I use for gunpla, but wow they really don't want you to take this apart... And from the way it's put together, Im honestly not convinced they were trying to "cost cut" with the elite 2.0 line. I'm really getting the iphone vibes from these. Normally I'm a huge fan of compliant mechanisms, but the plastic trigger and catch spring just screams planned obsolescence to me. ...I probably should have just bought the cheaper and better designed X-shot blasters literally right beside it bruh
I thought this line were gonna be a mix between accustrike line and modulus. Now They have a lot of tactics but nothing matches and they still shoots maximum 70 fps. I think the reason why they not upgrade the darts is because they want rival to sell so rival feels accurate.
Imo Elite 2.0 is garbage, at least from what I've seen in reviews Maybe I'd change my mind if I bought one of the blasters and shot it, but seeing them in videos...yeah I'm mostly with Walcom on this, they're literally just old blasters barely changed, maybe improved with more rails or attachment points here and there. Maybe they even shoot further. Still pretty much the same as older blasters tho. Maybe this is a mileage may vary thing, but me personally? Kinda hard to get excited about a new line when all of the blasters in it are essentially minor reshells of blasters we've had for years.
@@justajolt doesn't help that the Rival market in the UK isn't doing the best, with Smyths not having too much stock for online orders and Entertainer not having many period.
I'm just getting back into the hobby after about 9-ish years, and although I like the way these ones look, I don't like the sound of them. I want to get into modding my blasters, and I want to be able to shoot straighter than I could back then.
Do you really think they have been making new blasters all these years? The Retailator, Rampage, Styfe, Rapidstrike, Strongarm and Hyperfire were the only original blasters in the Elite line, then everything else were reshells, you were fine with those, but now it's a problem???
I had a dream last night that I bought a red Longshot from Goodwill in mint condition for $1.99. I then proceeded to show my parents who had no idea what it was. It was pretty epic.
This blaster makes me sad my first blaster was the night finder then I bought a fire strike it's my favourite blaster and to see it bastardized like this just leaves me disheartened

Yeah, but don't get too excited, they don't function well in the Rayven for example due to the longer barrel and grippier head material

Maybe I'd change my mind if I bought one of the blasters and shot it, but seeing them in videos...yeah I'm mostly with Walcom on this, they're literally just old blasters barely changed, maybe improved with more rails or attachment points here and there. Maybe they even shoot further. Still pretty much the same as older blasters tho.
Maybe this is a mileage may vary thing, but me personally? Kinda hard to get excited about a new line when all of the blasters in it are essentially minor reshells of blasters we've had for years.
I mean regardless of everything, the Turbine looks sick AF.
Rival and Zombie Strike's where it's at for blaster shell innovation. But even then, Rival's slowing down...
@@justajolt doesn't help that the Rival market in the UK isn't doing the best, with Smyths not having too much stock for online orders and Entertainer not having many period.
I'm just getting back into the hobby after about 9-ish years, and although I like the way these ones look, I don't like the sound of them. I want to get into modding my blasters, and I want to be able to shoot straighter than I could back then.
Do you really think they have been making new blasters all these years? The Retailator, Rampage, Styfe, Rapidstrike, Strongarm and Hyperfire were the only original blasters in the Elite line, then everything else were reshells, you were fine with those, but now it's a problem???
2.0 is just bringing back old nerf guns
The shells of these blasters are interesting anyway. Everything else seems to suck, or makes par at best.
I had a dream last night that I bought a red Longshot from Goodwill in mint condition for $1.99. I then proceeded to show my parents who had no idea what it was. It was pretty epic.
