When there's an elite 2.0 blaster with screws holding it together, and more than just the main spring, I'm still not going to buy it because it's not happening. But I can almost guarantee when even ONE of us gets a spot in the design team for nerf things are going to get better. Hasbro thought they had nothing left to lose from the nerf brand, but if we all stand up to them we can take over this brand and fix it.
As a cube designer (someone who does CAD to make thier own rubiks Cubes) hasbro was not in the community space, now that they are doing rubiks ambassador programs I kinda wish they did it in this community because it just helps business.
Two things I want to note: One: this thing doesn't have a jam door safety. You were holding the jam door open, pulling the trigger, and the pusher and flywheels still cycled. Two: I think I know how they managed to get this thing symmetrical AND thin, and you're not going to like it...remember the pancake motors in the Stockade? EDIT: Apparently, you DO remember. I would put money on it using them...possibly even the same ones.
It feels like our standards have fallen for the 2.0 line. After you put in the cost of the batteries it's about the same as a Nexus pro. It looks like a very attractive shell with significant of shortcomings. As a community we need to not be desensitized to the cost cutting corners Hasbro is using results lower quality product.
My younger brother got the Turbine for his birthday and we both love it! It has it's flaws when it comes to maintenance and modding, but since we don't do mods, it doesn't matter. It's an absolute blast and it's now tied with the Infinus for my favorite full-auto blaster!
I got 2 Dart Zone Spectrums for about what 1 Turbine would cost me. I don't regret my decision. Putting a pickle on a sh!t sandwich, doesn't change the fact that it's still a sh!t sandwich. You can't mod it, and it has a stock that can't be extended. Let's face it. Elite 2.0 is just more reshells of reshells from blasters that were done better years ago.
i want to see some of the classic air pump blasters i bought the new magstrike i love it and i also bought a As-6 hornet. i mean you can make an air powered blaster full auto sure you have to pump it but at least you don't have to replace batteries.
The flywheels spinning faster when you hold down the trigger is the same as a rapidstrike, mine does the same thing. I think it’s for counteracting it slowing down
It’s got almost everything I’d want in a full-auto rifle, it just looks too short for how tall it is. Maybe if a magazine holder was modded onto the back...
walcom you should review the spectrum without spoilers people are calling it the stryfe killer (spoilers ahead) it hits 100 fps stock its fits nerf mags it has a removable adjustable stock that can attach to the villinator stock oh and did i mention that it is super cheap
I found a bunch at my local Walmart. I bought 2. It IS a Stryfe-killer by any metric. -adjustable (and removable) stock -scope -adjustable (and removable) foregrip -is almost 100 fps out of the box -has a 10 round magazine -is $4-5 cheaper than the basic orange Stryfe There is another blaster at the exact same price point at Walmart, from the same line, called the Sportsman. It's a hopper-fed, 20 dart (can actually fit a few more), pump-action springer. It's also awesome.
After rewatching this, the Turbine grew on me. Still not sure I'll pick one up, but I can definitely see taking one to some kind of elevated position with a duffel bag of drum magazines and raining AF waffles with that rate of fire. I think it's a good choke point suppressor. Someone who really knows what they're doing with this can be really effective.
I really like how it looks, and I’m sure it has amazing ergonomics (considering just how it looks and you mentioning it a bunch), but two problems I have, and imma sound a lot like Coop772 here, is the grip size and stock length on nerf blasters. Half the time the grips are too small for me (I have incredibly long fingers), and that’s understandable, and besides I can get over those. But I can’t get over the stock lengths. Now obviously, the blasters are made for kids, and I’m a 6’4” 16 year-old. I personally really like there rapidstrike, and really began to love the stryfe and Regulator when I got two Worker stocks. Despite the amazing looks and pretty good performance of the turbine, I feel I would prefer the rapidstrike over it. But I won’t know until I get one myself, which, considering the Nexus Pro exists, won’t be anytime soon.
After so much time of debating getting anything from Elite 2.0 I finally convinced myself to buy one of these. I almost immediately nodded it to have a longer stock and added a thin layer of foam to where the knuckle of my thumb rests on the grip. Other than that this is a blaster I desire. Full auto and mag fed is my go to for nerf. It's comfy to hold, fires fast and far and so long as you look after it (because you can't open Elite 2.0 blasters) it will serve you well. I for one recommend this
I’m doing a stryfe centurion integration rn and now the turbine is out and looks similar, (kind of?) but I like semi auto and performance that I can adjust by modding it so the turbine is a pass for me
This could have and definitely should have been a slam dunk for Hasbro. One simple change would have made this blaster honestly perfect and maybe the best full auto we’ve gotten, in stock form that is. Hasbro you need to go with 6 batteries and 9 volts on a blaster like this. Having 6 C batteries would have extended the stock on this to be just long enough to at least be useable. It also would have fixed the issue on the flywheels getting bogged down and range dismally falling off. Please Hasbro keep this design, keep the front end the same, and just add two extra slots in the stock area. This will make this blaster an absolute home run.
Great review as always Walcom. The 2.0 line seems to be bit of a flop, except for this one, the rate of fire, but the motors? What are they? Looking forward to watching you separate the shell to see how much solvent welding Hasbro has added. Good luck buddy.
Don't buy this, whether you like the look or not it sends Hasbro a message if even one Elite 2.0 blaster sells really well, they'll keep cheaping out and making them non mod friendly. It's good to see a positive Elite 2.0 review but i honestly can't see why...it's got a faster rate of fire and thats about it. Can't mod it, tac rail's in a useless spot, mag release is too hard to press and finicky, doesn't come with two mags even though they give two mags worth of darts (yes i know thats a new thing with Elite 2.0 but still), jam door is cheap asf. Too many cons to really outweigh the pros.Nice review though
You have to know only 1% of the modding community makes up nerf also it's a pretty compact full auto blaster with a good rate of fire the 40 dollar price tag is kind of too much though for what it's worth. However, if it's on sale for 30 or 25 bucks it's a steal
Chikken_Wangz I’m obviously talking to the mod community, I’m on a Walcom video, not a Coop video. Plus some of the drawbacks of this affect their target demographic aswell...kids. The price is high, the jam door is unsafe for kids and the hard to press mag release isn’t suited for kids either.
The flywheels spinning slower during rev is normal for most stock auto Nerf blasters. The same thing applies to the original Rapidstrike. I think the idea behind it keeps the motors reved but it doesnt make as much noise or use as much juice when youre waiting for the right moment to fire. Because its a complex circuit, they had the opportunity to do this little feature. This basically means theyre completely repurposing the Rapidstrike circuit board.
I do like the blaster but the stock seems a little short for me, possibly a stampede stock integration? Not sure where I could find paint like that though it seems very specialized.
I recently got a rapid strike and a turbine, along with the “shotgun pistol” shell strike. I also took your advice on wafflehead darts and bought *200 of them for 10 BUCKS.* Ive loved them ever since. And I do say that that grip is damn near perfect for me too.
'We'll give you twice as many darts but one magazine' - Has-bro It would be interesting to see how you take apart a solvent welded blaster to see what motors are in the slim design. I almost picked this up. Still could. I have a Rapidstrike CS-18 and AccuStrike Stratohawk 25 drum that get jammed a lot it seems like it's not rev-ing enough even though the new Energizer Max batteries are tested and in the green at 75%. I could try Duracel's. Coop's Stratohawk firing demo was impressive. He uses amazon Basics non rechargeables but who knows how long they perform. Good to see your Duracel's worked. One thing I like about Rivals is rechargeable batteries. I looked into rechargeable brands. Obec, EBL, and Rayhorn get good reviews. Energizers are good but not as good as those.
As someone pretty casual who doesn’t do much modding (I’ve done some springs and that’s it), not being able to open it wouldn’t bother me, so I just bought one. The mag release really did annoy me. It killed the experience. So I decided to get rid of it. I literally took a box knife and sliced enough of the mag release tab off inside the mag well, that the mag now just slides over it. I can’t speak for the consistency between blasters, but my mag well is so tight anyway that the lock and release were completely unnecessary. The detector lock that stops you from revving without a magazine clicks in and out when you push in and pull out a mag, and it’s more than enough on mine to keep the magazine in place, making the release lock functionally redundant. Without the mag release tab, I can still shake the blaster, smack it, etc, and the mag doesn’t fall out, it only comes out when I give it a firm tug, like I already had to even when I pushed the release all the way in. I can now ignore the release entirely and the experience is 1000x better, this is actually a really fun blaster to use.
Yeah... it's a bad take from Hasbro. Cutting corners and completely forsaken your brand's quality was a terrible move and Dart Zone is capitalizing hard on it.
Ok i bought a turbine i used it and the ergonomics is the best because my hands are almost walcoms size of hand and the rate of fire i cant stop it its amazing
huh, WalcomS7 seems to rate thumbhole stocks as a good thing... I think they're a bad thing...limits wrist motion too much for me when moving stuff around...
the *only* reason I'm not liking this video right now is because the likes are 69. I'm going to like it after someone changes it Edit: Ok it's not at 69 anymore so I liked it
In britan, the turbine is 20 Pounds, which is suprisinly cheap.I experienced a couple jams when i didnt pull the trigger all thhe way,but if you remove the magazine and press the rev/accelerate button, the jam fixes and you get your now slightly worn dart back.
My hands were in heaven when i first hold the Elite 2.0 Slyshot (little pistol with three Elite darts for 4 Euros idk how many dollars that is), i know how that feels Walcom, its fantastic
As some one who wants to learn more about mods this blaster holds no interest from me. I would have loved to use the shell for mods but not if it's a total pain to open.
Elite 2.0! Reskins and *Very* bad Blasters or maybe...? *turbine has joined the chat* *warden has left the chat* Turbine: wait im too good... Why am i in this series? Other elite 2.0 Blasters:.we wish we were you buddy
I am still not going to buy it. The Dart Zone Spectrum shoots faster and is half the price. So for the price of one Turbine your could dual wield Dart Zone Spectrums. Which hit over 100 fps out of the box.
My absolute favorite blaster is the nerf elite 2.0 Phoenix, I have 5 of them and one of them are staying in its package for collection purposes, and it can be modded.
From the leaks when I saw this blaster I liked it. Love the elite 2.0 design but man some of these parts are cheap. But the rapidstryke with full auto sounds amazing. Can’t wait to see mods this thing will be like the rapidstryke made by dart zone
Finally! Something we can actually call a better version (or 2.0, if you will) Of an already great blaster! We knew you had it in you Hasbro, now do more of this, let us like you again, we actually want to like you.
The only problem with this blaster is that Hasbro fucked up the barrel lug again, because they offset it too much from the main body so now every single barrel extension wobbles extremely
All right, this is one of the only good elite 2.0 blasters released so far. This one is actually starting to give me a little bit of hope in the series just a small tiny bit. This is actually amazing. The only thing that bothered me was the whole “ha ha you only have one magazine” thing But that’s the only thing that bothers me about this one. More of the elite 2.0 blasters just could’ve been like this. The only thing we can do is just hope that the bosses in the series are like this one. Actually decent.
I have been modifying a Rapidstrike for the better part of a month now... Mostly flat top body work. And hoping that the turbine would be modable... Sigh. I will probably pick up one of these for my 8 yr old for a stock blaster to use with his friends. But after a year or more someone ( cough cough) Walcom (cough cough) will have figured out a way to mod it. In the mean time I will be modifying an adventure force spectrum. And staying very far away from nerf elite 2.0 line. And if this one didn’t actually have at least the same full auto as the Radidstrike. It would be a hard pass. As I can’t even open it up to throw a paint job on it. Keep up the good work. Really been enjoying the content.
I love the look and idea of this blaster. American Foam had a few problems so I was on the fence, but this is a little reassuring. I love short stocks so maybe I'll like the ergonomics. Thanks for the honest review walcom.
@@WalcomS7 I understand that. Yeah he said the stock was way to short, the jam door broke off easily and the Rev trigger or mag release was really stuff (I forgot Wich one).
WS7 This looks pretty cool for a stock blaster. It is amazing you can still be super enthusiastic about a blaster line that has been historically inferior. Thanks gling at this in a calm constructive manner. Thanks for being you. Keep up the freat work.
shouldering it is the main reason I don't like integrated stocks like that, I'm the kind of person that doesn't like firing without some way to stablize my shots, it's why I wish I could find my old Recon CS-6 cuz despite how flimsy it is the stock length is perfect for me
It's important to know where a Reviewer's biases are. I tend to favor smaller, more compact blasters myself; along with Shotguns and Pistols. The Turbine is comfy, performs better than expected (but not great), and I love the looks of it. Is that enough for a positive review? In my opinion it is, but obviously stuff is subjective.

Energizers are good but not as good as those.
at least the fast shooty works
more than i can say about the warden
If you give it a Phoenix scope and then paint a matching modulus vertical grip, as well as getting a barrel attachment, it looks super cool.
Problem: you can’t look down the scope because its in the back.
Looks like the stampede Phoenix had a baby and this was their kid
Impossible! Also, 100k special when??

Thanks, I don't have insta
I really dig the look of the Turbine,it looks incredibly SCI FI but practical.
Definitely the best elite 2.0 blaster........................................................but it is still too late to save the line.
Unfortunately
Yeah... it's a bad take from Hasbro. Cutting corners and completely forsaken your brand's quality was a terrible move and Dart Zone is capitalizing hard on it.
Walcom S7 Damn right!
Tomorrow he reviews a blaster I have not heard of
Tomorrow is the last day of school for the week
yes
It's nice to have a full auto option out there.
Ok i bought a turbine i used it and the ergonomics is the best because my hands are almost walcoms size of hand and the rate of fire i cant stop it its amazing
huh, WalcomS7 seems to rate thumbhole stocks as a good thing...
I think they're a bad thing...limits wrist motion too much for me when moving stuff around...
the rant youre ranting about in the magazine chapter is so relatable
the *only* reason I'm not liking this video right now is because the likes are 69. I'm going to like it after someone changes it
Edit: Ok it's not at 69 anymore so I liked it
lol
Reddit moment
Nice
In britan, the turbine is 20 Pounds, which is suprisinly cheap.I experienced a couple jams when i didnt pull the trigger all thhe way,but if you remove the magazine and press the rev/accelerate button, the jam fixes and you get your now slightly worn dart back.
I'm leery of the turbine, it was the second blaster I was interested in after the Warden. But for $40 I'd be more willing to get the motostrike.
I'm jazzed about the motostrike
Ok honestly the motostryke is no better
Walmart has rapid strikes for 20 bucks, just saying
My hands were in heaven when i first hold the Elite 2.0 Slyshot (little pistol with three Elite darts for 4 Euros idk how many dollars that is), i know how that feels Walcom, its fantastic
As some one who wants to learn more about mods this blaster holds no interest from me. I would have loved to use the shell for mods but not if it's a total pain to open.
6:33
The old stampede nailed that, 3 18 round mags and since it’s full auto, it makes a lot of sense
Elite 2.0! Reskins and *Very* bad Blasters or maybe...? *turbine has joined the chat* *warden has left the chat* Turbine: wait im too good... Why am i in this series? Other elite 2.0 Blasters:.we wish we were you buddy
I haven’t owned a nerf gun for 2 years I believe and this was the first one I bought and this is pretty awesome nerf gun
When I saw how good it was I just opened my eyelids as wide as it could go
Ive been watching this guy forever. I dont play with nerf anymore but its so relaxing.
I am still not going to buy it. The Dart Zone Spectrum shoots faster and is half the price. So for the price of one Turbine your could dual wield Dart Zone Spectrums. Which hit over 100 fps out of the box.
Ok thanks my aquatic brethren! I'm going to mod this one...and dedicate it to you bro!!👊
I plan on tackling mine sometime soon.
this blaster sounds like Roblox sound effects for the nerf game
Does sound pretty wimpy.
I was really excited for this line mostly for the aesthetics and i still am but less excited and more cautiously optimistic now.
It's definitely more in the, "cautiously optimistic" category.
The flywheels spin faster when you’re dry firing the blaster, the rapid strike also has this and it has confused me a bit as well
My absolute favorite blaster is the nerf elite 2.0 Phoenix, I have 5 of them and one of them are staying in its package for collection purposes, and it can be modded.
Personally I still say no, I can't support any of the 2.0 line. I'm glad to see you enjoy it though.
From the leaks when I saw this blaster I liked it. Love the elite 2.0 design but man some of these parts are cheap. But the rapidstryke with full auto sounds amazing. Can’t wait to see mods this thing will be like the rapidstryke made by dart zone
But it's still unmodable. Sooooo that out of the box is all its ever gonna be.
It's not, "unmoddable". Just a pain in the ass to mod it. In the Turbine's case, that's worth.
I watch Coop too, but i love that you ain't that picky and need 300 years for next vid
excuse me *w h a t*
PLEASE ELITE 2.0 BE LIKE THIS
When he is happy about a blaster, im rushing to the store to get it
Damn it. I WANTED MORE RAGE!!!
Patience.
I got this blaster at Walmart because with was the only flywheel I saw and man did it outperform my expectations
Finally! Something we can actually call a better version (or 2.0, if you will) Of an already great blaster!
We knew you had it in you Hasbro, now do more of this, let us like you again, we actually want to like you.
Better in some aspects but worse in some
But as for out of the box performance it is better for the turbine compared to the rapidstrike
The only problem with this blaster is that Hasbro fucked up the barrel lug again, because they offset it too much from the main body so now every single barrel extension wobbles extremely
This is like the diamond in the rough in the Elite 2.0 line. Also love the Bubblegum Crisis shirt.
I have the Elite 2.0 Phoenix as well and I can confirm it's just as awesome as this one for a semi-auto
Rapidstrike also spinns faster when you pull the trigger
finally a happy walcom
Thanks for the vid, just picked up three of these last night for my kids and I since Walmart had 'em for $20.
1:58 I love the sound it makes in full auto!
What Nerf magazines are compatible with this gun. My son got one and I would like to get him more mags but do not want to buy the wrong one.
Every nerf magazine will fit. If it says its N-Strike Compatible it will work good luck :)
I tend not to watch other reviewers as to not color my own opinions, but I'll have to check out what issues he had.
@@WalcomS7 I understand that. Yeah he said the stock was way to short, the jam door broke off easily and the Rev trigger or mag release was really stuff (I forgot Wich one).
WS7
This looks pretty cool for a stock blaster. It is amazing you can still be super enthusiastic about a blaster line that has been historically inferior. Thanks gling at this in a calm constructive manner. Thanks for being you. Keep up the freat work.
That could fit for an smg from borderlands. It really gives me those vibes!
Mine broke lmao. Top flywheel decided to come loose but idk wether I should buy another one or not
Walcom: *yelling Kamen Rider phrases as he opens the blaster*
Me: Ah yes a Man of Culture
if the blaster had more rails and was easy to open and mod, I think this would be a great option for almost everyone
Walcom the rapid strike also spun the fly wheels faster when you held down the trigger and its probably so the performance does not drop as much
shouldering it is the main reason I don't like integrated stocks like that, I'm the kind of person that doesn't like firing without some way to stablize my shots, it's why I wish I could find my old Recon CS-6 cuz despite how flimsy it is the stock length is perfect for me
The turbine was the first full ato blaster I had.
And there’s a story nobody asked for.
Am I the only one that noticed the rapidstrike on the bottom left Shelf. He said that he didn't have any in stock.
I'm glad there's a good one in this line. Thanks for being objective and honest
@@WalcomS7maybe objective wasn't the right word. I think I was just pleased that you went I to the review with an open mind
