Thank you, sir. Though I have by now studied in various institutions since last 20 yrs, I couldn't come across a better Geography teacher. Best wishes to you for your passionate work.

Sir, you had already mentioned it in the class that the upper tropospheric winds are westerlies, but I don't remember you had explained it why. But when I had a revision of class notes I thought "those winds are westerlies because of West to East spin of Earth (which due to gravitation) drags the winds" could it have any relevance.

U should give us full concept..
U should also add tha airmasse..
And how this jet become wavy..
And thus the carry low pressure zone and change the weather pattern...
Now there is lockdown in our country so plzz teach us online on this platform

Sir, in normal meridonial cell, the rising air from equator deflects towards both the hemispheres from tropopause due to temperature gradient of troposphere and stratosphere. But in the case you discussed, how the rising winds are deflecting before striking the tropopause.

    • @manojsinghkhetwal8943
      @manojsinghkhetwal8943 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What makes the wind deflection?

Apply the concept of adiabatic cooling

sir Geostrophic wind (i. e. upper tropospheric wind) flow along isobars but at which latitudes??
the direction of such winds west to east in northern hemisphere and east to west in southern hemisphere??
Is upper tropospheric winds are different from jet stream??

How come westerlies above the equator when the coriolis force is not present at the equator??

Sir i hv a doubt....Is upper troposperic wind same towhat we call it jet eastrlies or westerlies...or both are different wind?....and one more request..please posta video on the role of jetstream in mechanism of monsoon....

    • @shubhammishra204

Not exactly above the equator, slightly north and south of it.

Bro atmospheric air is there till tropopause, the vertical movement of air has no impact on the air above 200 mb pressure level.

    • @shubhammishra204
