Big 8x4x3 stacked 2 high make great wind breaks, also shipping container igloos are good shelter, they come in pole mount, stack bales in one end for windbreak.
Moved my grandma from Minot to Wisconsin this fall. She was talking about how -12 felt cold yesterday, my cousin told her it was -27 in minot before factoring in wind chill..... he told her he's thinking about moving to Wisconsin also! 😂
Nice sheltered yard you have, yeah up here in Manitoba it’s been tough, -44c and 30km wind steady, got 3 or 4 more days before it calms down and yeah having water trough drama too, be safe
Good thing the calves are dropping right now! We were -33 this morning with 50s later this week. Take care and be as safe as you can. The herd appreciated the bedding and feed.
You do such a great job taking care of all your animals…. It kinda makes me mad when the weather channel never mentions livestock…. It’s always about people…. We always bedded our hogs like that…they would burrow down in the deep straw….I also have 3 dogs and they are in the house…. They are always excited to go out until that cold air hits them….they do their business and back in the house….They are big dogs but I don’t let them stay out when it’s this cold…..Again I’m glad to see you takes such great care of your livestock…Those cows love that deep straw to get down in the straw…. Great video…
Great video Greg

Yup. The cows look good. Right on.
My first time watching 67 below 0 where do you live 🤔
North Dakota
What make is the watertrough that does not freeze? Your cattle look in great order.
Ritchie water fountains. Thanks. The fountains have electricity on them with heating elements under the water troughs.
Ya I’m not too far north of you about 60 miles . It’s been brutal trying to keep the cows alive and everything going.
Good job Greg!
We made a short hose to hook up to the back hydraulics to keep the hydraulic fluid warm works good
Definitely cold. All of water bowls needed a little hot water on the valve and line. thank goodness for the sun though
BRRRRRRRRRRRR where is global warming
Al Gore kept it for himself. Call him to help you with chores in this extreme cold.😅😅😅
I don't think he could even open a gate to help you@@joeahopelto8032
It was -47c with wind chill here. I'd hate to see -67 c ! 🥶
I hope your cattle will be safe
How are you able to walk or even breathe in that cold
You don’t spend a long time out. Behind wind protection is better.
Wow I was thinking of moving to Montana but I might be a wimp 😥
Lol. Depends where in Montana. Some places are mild.
