Madam, in one of the given examples (NET csir Dec-2014 two five membered ring), you showed first dibal treated with ketone and got single isomer of alcohol with inversion of configuration. Actually that is not possible without any chiral reagent, at that stage you will get recimic alcohol product. On reduction of ketone to alcohol if chiral centre generate which gives recimic compound (if u use any chiral catalyst, ligand with reducing agent then possible to get single isomer or one isomer with high ee). Plz correct it.
but overall good explanations; except this one DIBAL-H naming mistake, and no comment on diastereoselectivity about OH group up only (substrate controlled stereochemistry)
Commenting for the algorithm ...
This was clear and straight lecture 😊
Thanks 🙏 mamm
Thankyou maam for questions
DIBAL-H is Diisobutyl aluminium hydride kindly check
Thanks
Mam m.sc entrance for du / jnu / jamiya ke liye kon si books better rhegi
Mam catalytic hydrogenation of alcohols are possible Or not?
👍👍
Thanku mam
Madam pls explain Micheal addition with mechanism and different examples
This video has been uploaded a few months ago, for several other videos of mechanism, watch our playlist of organic name reactions

so what would be the product for that?
It is Di isobutyl aluminium hydride

Also it would be nice to comment why first step with DIBAL-H is diastereoselective ;)
