Watching this movie just kind of solidified it for me. I get that it's just a movie, but I've actually had my fair share of conversations with demons and I have no doubts their musings on abortion probably aren't far from what was portrayed in this movie. They definitely nailed the arrogance for sure, though most of the interactions I've had weren't this coherent/intelligible. The demons that spoke to me usually talked in metaphors and code. They did this of course becuase these conversations were in public and so they spoke in a way that only someone with the discernment of the Spirit would understand what they were actually saying and all the other unsaved people (or as one demon put it "dead men") would have no idea what was being said. However, to the movies credit, I'd imagine the way a demon speaks to me or any other child of God that has an anointing from the Father is going to be radically different from the way they speak to someone who doesn't know the truth. You’re spot on. I heard voices for a long time; it was a family curse; got medicated, but all I needed was deliverance; which I got 6 years ago and am born again, whole, unmediated, well. I am so grateful to God and Jesus. Thank you and amen! It’s a spiritual battle. Repent of your sins (look at the Ten Commandments) turn to God and ask for forgiveness. Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sin debt. ❤

It's August and I finally got to see this in the theatres yesterday (in Australia, by special screening only). We all thought it was an incredible film. It had no gimmicky special effects; only intense and horrific dialogue between these two phenomenal actors. In a just world, this film, the actors and the crew would win many awards. Sadly, it was suppressed. It may not have done well in the box office but I hope everyone involved knows how important this film was to be made and the lasting impact it has had on many of us. Bravo!
Hands down Sean Patrick Flanerys best performance in his career. Really made me think and feel so many emotions and kept my attention the whole time he was on the screen. Showed how demons REALLY work without the Hollywood hoo haw nowadays.
The movie Nefarious has publically, brazenly taken the deceptive mask off of the face of evil and authentically revealed Satan's nefarious plans and machinations. Evil has been effectively and decisively outed. This had to happen. Now, things (i.e. demonically empowered evil) will begin to severely intensify within our society, culture and government. Yes gentleman, what you've done, according to the Sovereignty of the Creator, is indeed significant.
It was an amazing movie... One of the deepest scenes is when the Demon won't even let him have his last meal... that was just.... it paints a picture, doesn't it? "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
This is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. The acting is phenomenal, top notch. The writing is above standard. Not once did I get bored or lost interest in what was going on. Great job guys!
Only a lost soul would say his performance wasnt masterful . Perfection. If this movie promoted evil and not good, it would receive a string of Oscars. That is unquestionable.
This is an excellent movie and relatable. How many times have you looked around at what's happening in our world and thought "what's going on?!" That is explained/borne out in this movie. Wow. Just wow. Saw it a week ago and I'm still taking it in!
Simply Phenomenal!!! One of the absolute best films I've ever seen! Wow... Just wow. The acting skills are off of the charts. The chemistry between the two main characters is truly incredible. Exquisitely thought-out, and uniquely represented to the audience. Standing ovation in appreciation! Bravo! 🙏
Way above Academy Award level performances. One of the absolutely best movies I’ve ever seen. So purposeful and profound. So fun to note all the Biblical parallels. This is a must watch for everyone. Our pastor, Jack Hibbs, used this film as a teaching tool. Great film to watch with friends and discuss. SO many talking points.
_The demonic realm he had to deal with after the role was hopefully minimal. Having played the main demon of a church play required almost near deliverance for me immediately after, had it not been for the intercessory team set in place prior to, during & thereafter. These roles are DEADLY SERIOUS._
Saw the movie on Sunday and loved it. Very intense and thought provoking. I felt so bad for Eddy that I was actually a little depressed the remainder of the day. I had a hard to remembering he is a fictional character.
I agree. Luckily a full on possession to that degree is very rare and like Nefarious says in the movie- it takes a series of “yeses” to take someone over.
@@annie68164 I actually think the extent of possession in movie is a bit fictional. I am actually not sure a demon can actually 100% take over. They can lead people to suicide or evil acts, but can’t actually force us to do those acts. No matter how possessed a person, a demon cannot take possession of our soul. We can not give our soul away.

The scene when the demon denied him his last meal was so cold. So evil. Sean Patrick Flanery deserves an Oscar for this performance. Unfortunately, he will be passed over again because this film does not confirm to the narrative of woke hollywood. This film is significant, complex and important for everyone, believer or not. There is just about something intangible that pulls you in and makes you think, and then think again. I LOVED IT. !!!!
I watched it! Your acting are both stellar. God be praised! I also watched Jordan's interview on another channel and I appreciate the way he honestly answered the host. 💟💜
Wow. Just Wow. Great interview with two spectacular actors. I find it uncanny how Sean Patrick Flannery incorporated every shred and fiber of himself into his role as Edward/Nefarious, down to his real facial ticks and occasional stuttering -- in the movie he used these to show Edward cringing and struggling under the crushing weight of the demon who possessed him. We saw Nefarious last weekend, and we will see it again.
I watched it twice, the second time at a friend's home in MA. He liked the trailers I showed him and he decided to "buy access" so to view it with me on his Smart TV. I told him about the movie having a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While I personally prefer to view most movies, based on true stories, I chose to view it based on being advertised on the Salem News Channel, to which many of my talk radio shows are broadcasted on.
I absolutely loved this film. I watched it twice in a row. Then I looked up Sean Patrick Flanery, and realized that he was in other films that I'd seen. This role made me know his name, and made me want to watch/rewatch his past films. The writing is brilliant. I love well written dialogue. This is the most effective kind of horror for me. No gore or jumpscares. Just words. We need more films like this.

This film is an incredible way to peel the scales off skeptics' eyes to the "real" world.
I understand your fear of misunderstanding scripture and then teaching others in error. I agree with that concern and think it's a wise thing to consider. I also believe we are supposed to enthusiastically go and tell others what's been done for us. When prompted by the Spirit... I give my testimony and then tell the good news of the gospel and salvation through Jesus. This is required and safe to share with confidence. Although there are many things to learn and understand in the Word...most aren't necessary for spreading the good news of salvation. Thanks Travis for this channel and all the work you and your wife put into it. It's obvious that the the love of God and disdain for wickedness is at the forefront of your channel
I just finished watching Nefarious earlier this evening and I loved it! Sean is awesome. I've been a fan of his for a long time. He never disappoints! That said, I'm new to Jordan Belfi but I enjoyed his performance as well. He and Sean worked really well together.
A very acute film that articulates an element of reality that I have struggled to explain for decades. It was as if I found or witnessed the missing piece of the puzzle that explains what is going on in the world today and where we stand not only as individuals but as a nation.
My wife and I watched this last night. Amazing performances. My wife thought it disturbing, never thinking about much less exposed to the demonic, me subject to these critters for 2 years growing up.
If more actors in the entertainment industry possessed the quality of character (humble, grateful, and honest) as these 2 gentlemen, the WORLD could and would be a better place. Instead, it is populated more by people who Nefarious would be pleased to have on his team.

@@kermierogers7876 It depends on you consider horror and profanity use. Maybe you've never seen a silent film before or even classic films like Psycho or some of the other films from that era? There's also some 80's horror comedies.
There was the Hays code which prohibited profanity, suggestive nudity, graphic or realistic violence, sexual persuasions and rape until it became the MPAA and eventually revised their censorship.
@@iloveyoursnottyattitude6137 then you have to specify between modern or classic Hollywood. The trailers before the movie were raunchy and pretty nasty just because it was given an R rating like every “horror” film out there. I used to enjoy horror movies but I no longer do because they are full of unnecessary vulgarity and graphic gratuitous violence. There is only so much of it that one can take before you say enough due to disgust. I wanted a good scare not teens getting it on before getting impaled with a sharp object. This is why no one takes Hollywood seriously any more, no original writing other than extremely vulgar crap and remakes.
@@iloveyoursnottyattitude6137 very few clean horror movies in the last thirty years. M. Knight Shalayman made some decent scary movies until he went Hollywood, but most of the horror movies today hired movies.
This film is one of those pearls that come rarely every decade. Phenomenal production and theologically spot on!
A tiny gem of a film. It deserves a lot more attention and love. Great acting, gentlemen, and the message is potent.
Truly refreshing to hear two actors embody their craft without glorification.
I took my sister to see this and she was reluctant because it was basically just two people and she wasn't sure how good it works be. She wanted to wait to see if it would come to streaming but I said I wanted to support the film. We were both blown away by the movie. It was riveting! Great acting, great writing...great movie!
"Riveted" is the word I've been using to family and friends to describe my reaction in the theater while watching this film. Best description I can think of.
I went into the theatre not knowing what this movie was about. I came out of it blown away. I own a lot of digital movies and have very few hard copies, but I had to own a hard copy of this movie! This movie was simply extraordinary and the acting was Oscar worthy!
Great movie went to go see it today 🙏🏾 I work in a mental hospital and I read about cases frequently and mean talk about hearing voices that aren’t theirs. This world is spiritual and I pray many more souls begin to realize this. Thanks for the movie !
Check out Jerry marzinski, psychiatrist who used to work in biggest mental hospital in the world. I could be wrong but I think it’s in Georgia .
Anyways, Jerry has long come to the realisation that ‘the voices’ are not a mental problem but a spiritual one.
Man I have not seen acting like this in a very long time. This man deserves an Oscar!!! When I tell you I sobbed in that theater!!!!!!!!! Whew Jesus
I watched this movie for the first time last night. Talk about cold chills down the spine - I think they both deserve an academy award for this one.
My mom and I were blown away by this amazing movie. Unlike anything we have ever seen
Only a lost soul would say his performance wasnt masterful . Perfection. If this movie promoted evil and not good, it would receive a string of Oscars. That is unquestionable.
This guy was so convincing he deserves an award.
Within five minutes I was drawn in, and I don't believe I blinked again until the credits were rolling. Suddenly, I was re-watching it again! Exquisitely thought-out, and uniquely represented to the audience. Standing ovation in appreciation! Bravo! 🙏
The acting in that movie was fantastic. Had us at the edge of our seats the whole movie!
You both deserve Oscars!!!! Amazing performances!!!Absolutely outstanding!!!!
He did an amazing job with this character. Academy award worthy. Gave me chills.
SO many talking points.
copying edward norton and heath ledger is academy worthy? lol ok 🤡🤡🤣🤣
_The demonic realm he had to deal with after the role was hopefully minimal. Having played the main demon of a church play required almost near deliverance for me immediately after, had it not been for the intercessory team set in place prior to, during & thereafter. These roles are DEADLY SERIOUS._
Loved Sean Patrick Flannery since Boondocks Saints. He absolutely deserves an award for his performance. His performance was mind blowing.
Saw the movie on Sunday and loved it. Very intense and thought provoking. I felt so bad for Eddy that I was actually a little depressed the remainder of the day. I had a hard to remembering he is a fictional character.
@@marcosgomez8618 I know where they come from, Hell.

The dialogue in this movie was utterly superb! Best movie I’ve seen in years!
Before Hollywood ever gives an Oscar to Sean Patrick Flannery for NEFARIOUS, they will first give an Academy Award to Alec Baldwin for faking his innocence in the Rust movie set killing scandal.

The only things I've seen him in were Boondock Saints and Dexter (although I don't remember him even being in it).
Oh yes! Excellent actor and not hard on the eyes either!
I just watched this movie last night and it was incredible. I went into this not knowing it was a faith based and it did not alter my enjoyment.
The scene when the demon denied him his last meal was so cold. So evil. It was the one last thing Edward could have gotten that could give him even the smallest amount of joy before dying and the demon took that from him. That has to be the most heartbreaking scene I’ve ever seen.
Hello from Texas. My husband and I are Christian ministers and he had me sit thru this because this happens more often then we (humans, Americans) are comfortable speaking about freely.
*Hands down one of the best horror films I've ever seen. And extremely well done in regards to accurate theology on demons.*

Be careful when demons trick you later. Be vigilant. That’s why the priests are there for your protection because the devil attacks quietly and in ways uou dont realise. Just be vigilant becUse this movie is powerful. Take lessons from Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel. Demonic attack doesnt stop after fliming. Keep praying. We will pray for you both.
Thats why I go to Holy Mass every single day
Retaliation before, during, and after is such a thing.
You don’t need a priest for protection…. 🤦🏻♂️ all you need is the name of JESUS
You only need JESUS. Priest has nothing to do with anything and demons are not afraid of them. They only fear the King and name of JESUS!!

This film is unlike any other. It's not only the acting BUT the dialogue- the word interplay thta makes it completely unique. May not be a politically affiliated person or a Christian, but the movie was genuinely interesting, entertaining, and just a refreshing take on the possession genre. I just loved this film.
The preternatural phenomena that went on during shooting of this film is absolutely astounding; and a testament to it's powerful message!
And yet why is it that supernaturally themed films like these are almost always said to have "preternatural phenomena" about them? It couldn't be part of the PR, could it?

People need to look to the Catholic Church as well: we're the only ones with the sacraments, the ordained, and the full training to deal with demonic activity.
Great film. A masterclass in acting from Sean and Jordan.
I give credit to both of these guys. It looks like a very good production from the 3 minute clips I have seen. Now I will have to find a place in Canada to see it.
I LOVED IT. !!!!

Wow.
They both did an outstanding job. Very well done together.
Instant chemistry on set. Magic before your eyes.

Then I looked up Sean Patrick Flanery, and realized that he was in other films that I'd seen. This role made me know his name, and made me want to watch/rewatch his past films.

This film is an incredible way to peel the scales off skeptics' eyes to the "real" world.
Sean Patrick Flanery Outstanding performance. Should have a Oscar. Thank you.

If more actors in the entertainment industry possessed the quality of character (humble, grateful, and honest) as these 2 gentlemen, the WORLD could and would be a better place. Instead, it is populated more by people who Nefarious would be pleased to have on his team.
