- Standing 208 feet (63.4m) tall, with a 116° drop off the elevator lift and reaching speeds up to 70 mph (112.5 km/h), this in-house built custom steel looping coaster features an Immelmann, a dive loop, an over-banked curve and two back-to-back heartline rolls in opposing directions that the park calls the Lagoon Roll.

I love the view when you get up to the top until you realize that you have to go off that beyond vertical drop
My first time on this one was at 9:30 at night. It is absolutely terrifying because it feels like you are just doing a very hurty belly flop

This ride checks all the boxes.
It might not be the longest ride of a rollercoaster, but it has all the thrills. Enough thrills, that you will ride more than once, in a given day.
I like how this is supposed to be the coaster featured in the visual novel Echo (depite the in game image being an inverted model) since Lagoon isn't far from the real life town of Echo. I can see why TJ freaked out so much riding it cuz man I'd be crying too XD
The lagoon roll is the scariest part I held on real tight because I felt like I was going to fall out 😂
That Lagoon roll looks so CRAZY! And the fact you do a double like inverted barrell roll with just the lap bars is insane! I need to go here just to ride this

It kinda hurts but if you embrace it and just hang there with your arms dangling there's nothing that can really compare to it!

Update: A few hours after this comment was made I rode it, great coaster! Very scary ride the first time, and you feel like you're holding on for your life, but if you come off so scared, just ride it a second time. The second time is the best, cause you are used to it! Definitely a good coaster! The worst part is the barrel roll, trust me. Hold on tight! :)
I held on real tight when you go upside down I felt like I was going to fall out lol 😂

This ride you are completely relying on the restraints to keep you in, which is just a lap bar. That’s what makes it so fun/ scary, you literally feel like you’re about to slip out at any given moment.

Me: pfft I rode the steepest coaster in the world this doesn’t look so bad. Me after watching a POV: maybe I was wrong. That 200 ft 116 degree drop with just the lap bar looks kinda terrifying.

I went on cannibal a couple months back and yeah they have the drums on the elevator. It makes it feel so much more gnarly. Also it’s more lit up in the first bit

first time I rode it was a bit ago and the elevator didn't come down for us lol!!
but when they got it all fixed up it was pretty good ride. Definitely scared me thought 😅

as someone that survived the coaster first try without peeing myself, the fact that those kids did not scream as much as me just proves im built different.

Okey strick quastion. Who build this coaster. I know its in house made, but I can not beleve that legoon had the matels skils to bent en build a coaster. So if someone knows who build the track and stuf, let me know please

The trains on Cannibal are made by ART Engineering, who also designed Bombora also at Lagoon.
With the software and technology out now, it isn’t impossible they made it themselves
So, here's the full rundown. Lagoon truly built this ride in-house. The track and supports were manufactured by a plant in Clearfield, Utah, the electrical components from a separate plant in Utah, the trains by ART Engineering, and all of the scenery and stuff from other companies in Utah. The Lagoon engineering team designed this coaster themselves, and went to local manufacturers to built it from the ground up to save on costs. The same way they did with Bombora, and the new roller coaster they are building in the back of the field. To add, the reason it took so long for Cannibal to open was because they the most strict guidelines to open it themselves by making sure it ran 1000 time consecutively without any hiccups. The hiccups they ran into was the alignment of track at the top and bottom of the lift. They contacted Intamin to help with it, and found the issue. Intamin, however, was very impressed with their design, and that's why you see many new concepts Intamin are releasing with an elevator lift. It's because of Cannibal.
I can't wait to see the new roller coaster open! It's supposedly gonna have multiple dark ride sections, as well as a free fall element inside the mountain. With the in-house update they did with Terroride, (and soon to be Dracula's Castle,) I'm sure it will be spectacular!
I believe Lagoon realized they had an amazing asset when Dal Freeman left Arrow Dynamics to join their team back in the 1990's. That's when you saw rides like Rattlesnake Rapids and Wild Mouse come around with better quality themed elements that they've brought in to their rides ever since. Wicked was technically originally designed by Dal Freeman himself, but Lagoon wasn't sure if they could build a coaster on their own, so they looked to Zierer to build it. However, they required Stengel Engineering to look over and tweak up the design for their standards. That created so many headaches for Lagoon (especially when an entire piece of track had to be rebuilt because of said engineering,) so Dal said, let's do it ourselves this time. So, Lagoon's engineering team became a thing, and Cannibal was Dal's last roller coaster design before finally retiring from the industry.
