My goodness Mark, you "took one for the IPTC team" in this video. Over here I would guess most Americans don't ever think about those aging bunkers becoming a hazard but of course they were built on cliffs so eventually they were going to become unstable. Sometimes the past continues to haunt us, wherever we live. Keep puffin.

I am a new pipe smoker and I have learned so much about tobacco and pipe smoking from you and your guests. I smoke a couple of Peterson and Savinelli Briar pipes, however, someday I hope to get a Meershaum pipe. I know that making the videos is time consuming and arduous work. The weather there is looking really fine. Over 100F here for several days and it's been quite miserable. Can't wait for autumn. If I may make a request, I would very much like you to consider showcasing your "holiday" blends for this upcoming season again from your cabin. I found the one that you did there quite enjoyable and so relaxing to watch. I know that you enjoy socializing at the tobacconist shop that you frequent, and have made such videos there, but, personally, the distractions from conversations taking place, etc., while you're recording detract from your presentation, in my opinion. I have not yet visited that coastline of France but will do so one day. I have been to Jersey though which has many WWII German fortifications and tunnels which are interesting of course. Another odd question - I don't know where else to ask - we will be in the French Region of Alsace in December 2024. Are there any interesting places to visit/villages that have some interesting history in the Black Forest near the Strasbourg/Colmar area?
Hi Mark, nice to see you. The coastal area north of San Francisco has a bunch of bunkers that are very intact. They were built after Pearl Harbor. Interesting to see how bomb proof that German bunker must have been. Be well my friend.
Next summer come to the black sand beach of Santorini. You need some sun dear friend! Still you can also visit the the Metaxa bunkers up north which were built according to the engineering standards of the 3rd Empire and ironically held up to its attack for 3 days. Anyway, the shots in this video are truly amazing, congrats!
I’m choochin on some sutliff Irish cream here in Texas. I’m not a big aromatic guy but I’d like to hear what you thought of it. Maybe it’ll give me a better perspective. You’ve changed my mind on some aromatics before

As i buy most of my tobacco from Estervals, I think ill give this and Dark Moor a try, im trying to find some really strong tobaccos with lots of vitamin N, Rustica I loved, but I have to smoke that in a clay, the initial first few puffs come across to me, like I'm smoking garden mulch !!! But once it settles down, it's fine.
